海外での日本語会話
オーストラリアに到着した初日は、ブリスベンのある高級日本料理店で晩ごはんを食べた。同行のおじさんのTさんは日本料理が好きなようだった。私たち五人のテーブルを担当したのは、やる気満々に見える一人の日本人女性だった。日本料理店で働いているのは日本人に限らないと思ったが、Tさんがその女性スタッフに「Actually, she learned Japanese.」と私のことをその女性スタッフに伝えた後、彼女は微笑んで「Then maybe I should speak Japanese.ありがとうございます。」と言った。確かに海外で働いている日本人の方だった。
そのレストランの料理は多様で、ステーキや、ロウジャーモーに似た鶏肉の唐揚げを挟んだ饅頭のようなものもメニューにあった。もちろん、最初に出てきたのはサーモン刺身やたこ刺身、枝豆などの代表的な日本料理だった。私はサーモンが苦手なので、たこ刺身は一応食べてみた。その後、調理されたさかなも食べた。もともと、私は酸菜魚（スアンツァイユー）以外の魚料理に抵抗があったが、マレーシアで一度煮たさかなを食べてみてから、世の中にはおいしい魚料理もあると実感した。さかなに対する個人的な偏見で、さかなに謝るべきだった。
海外では、正式な食事の際、個々にドリンクを注文する習慣があるらしい。私は、外出中たまにミルクティーを飲むのが好きなのだが、毎回レストランでソフトドリンクを注文することにあまりに興味がない。というのも、値段がすこし高くて味もそんなにおいしくないという印象を持っているからだ。しかし、郷に入っては郷に従うということで、お茶を注文した。一杯だけと思っていたら、一壺だった。
父はお会計を私に任せた。お会計のついでに、そのお茶の味はすっきりしていると言いたかったが、なんとか「すっきり」を忘れてしまい、「爽やか」を誤用してしまった。幸い、話の意味は通じた。また、「この寒い天気にちょうどいい」と一言追加した。女性スタッフは、「そうですね。急に雨が降りましたね。」と言った。そして、それは抹茶と玄米を混ぜたお茶だと教えてくれた。海外で初めての日本語会話が、オーストラリアで行われたとは思わなかった。また、抹茶と玄米を混ぜて飲んだのも初めてだった。

How to Improve Spoken English?
Studying grammar will never improve your speaking.
Listening to English alone will never improve your speaking.
You have to actually speak.
There's a technique that allows you to learn to speak English by yourself.
No speaking partner is required.
Learning to speak through imitation.
You listen to a conversation, a story, or some kind of speech, and then try to deliver that speech in your own words.
Start by imitating small portions of speech first.
Then move on to imitating larger portions of speech, like long sentences or even groups of sentences.
And finally, try to deliver the entire speech on your own.
This technique offers many benifits.
You get to listen and imitate correct English, which helps you learn to form sentences properly.
You get to learn grammar.
When you imitate other people, you're learning grammar through a process called implicit learning.
This is the process where the learning happens without your awareness.
This is how babies and children learn the grammar rules of their first language.
When you imitate, you don't think about grammar.
You're not trying to understand why the present perfect tense is used in this situation or in that situation.
Instead, you're focused on communication, on understanding and expressing ideas.
You still learning grammar, but you're not aware that it's happening.
This is one of the proper ways to learn grammar.

My Watch
I usually wear a watch during exercise or sleeping. It is the smart watch connecting to my mobile phone. Its model is Galaxy watch 7.
First, I use it for monitoring my heart rate during doing cardio exercise equipments, such as treadmills, stepmills, and indoor cycles. When my heart rate is higher or lower than my target zone, I change the exercise intensity immediately. Doing that, I don't overtrain or do exercise too lightly.
Second, I wear while I sleep to measure how long I sleep and whether I sleep enougj deeply or not. If I don't sleep enough, I do exercise less or sleep earlier at night.
To conclude, the watch is one of the most important things in my daily life.

My Nickname
My nickname is Narucha.al
It is combination of two words. Those are sideburns and my surname.
First, sideburns are called "Gurernarut" in Korean. I put the middle of it, naru"n in the beginning of my nickname.
Second, "Cha" is my surname. It is one of the most popular surnames in Korea. I put it following "naru".
To conclusion, narucha means roughly "Mr. Cha with sideburns". A man with sideberns is not common in South Korea, compared to the Western.

My Bedroom
There are several things in my bedroom.
First, a bed takes up room almost. The bed is of queen size and its frame is made from wood. My bed has some lamps and some sockets on its head, allowing me to read some books in night or to charge my mobile.
Second, the white wardrobe is on the opposite of a door. I don't buy it while I bought my bed. In Korea, Apartments built in nowadays have wardrobes in rooms in advance.
Lastly, there is a dressing table. It is mainly used by my wife. Only my toner, face lotion, and electric shaver is on it.

My Haircut
I booked a reservation for my haircut yesterday and went to a hair salon in the morning.
I have been going there since 2020. I have been hiring the hairstylist from the beginning until now.
She knows what I want well, which is that my hair gets cut short, so she sometimes doesn't ask me how to cut my hair and just cuts my hair.
I always get my hair cut in a relaxed mood.

Dystopian world
I think that I will use this website as a kind of personal diary. I honestly feel very discouraged about the course the world is taking. I'm also very anxious for my future in my country and in many others. The world is upside down. Everything I was taught to be true doesn't seem to fit with the values and goals of the people who are now in power. Today I listened to a podcast where a well-known journalist called Marta Peirano talked about Palantir and how this company is using AI to kill and persecute innocent people with total impunity. I feel like I'm in a dystopian world.

The Ark of the Covenant
I often read the biblical stories before going to bed.
According to the story of Hebrew Bible, the ark of the covenant did, at one time reside in Jerusalem.
According to the book of exodus, after the Israelites were released from Egypt,God summoned Moses to the peak of Mount Sinai and gave him two stone tablets carved with the ten Commandments. God also gave him specific instructions for building the Ark of the Covenant.
It is the most highly coveted lost relic in the world.
The ark of the covenant is without question the most significant and powerful artifact in human history.
It was a weapon of extraordinary power.
It was said to smite the enemies of Israel.
It was said to have brought down the walls of Jericho.
It was said to bring about diseases.
Many people believe there are things of great power.
The first theory is that Jeremiah took the ark and hid it away in a cave.
The second theory which millions of Orthodox Christians believe, is that the ark of the covenant is in Ethiopia.
How mysterious the ark of the covenant is.
The children of Israel, as they went through the desert, learned about anything that was a danger to them.
If there were poisonous serpents, the ark of the covenant would prepare the way.
It seems that the Ark of Covenant may have had radioactive qualities, which actually cause harm to people, if they are in the vicinity of it for too long and this echoes the original stories.
The ark of the covenant still exists somewhere on Earth today.

《玩具总动员5》
《玩具总动员5》于7月3日（下周五）在日本上映。
为了最新电影上映，例如播放全系列，广告活动变得很活跃。
在美国已经上映了，因此我对当地人的评论有兴趣。不过，因为我不想看剧透，所以尽量不看社交媒体。
根据日本网络媒体，《玩具总动员5》评价很好。不过，有些日本人觉得美国人和日本人的感受不同，所以这部电影对日本人来说不一定好看。
我听说，《玩具总动员4》在美国也受到好评。相反，在日本虽然票房很好，但评价很差。
日本人也喜欢《Wish》的Magnifico，这部电影被认为是差评很多的作品，日本人的感性也有点特别。
日本网友开玩笑说：
“《玩具总动员4》不存在。”
“这部电影是垃圾。”
“16年来第一次的新作。”
我也有很多不满。
1. Bonnie在《玩具总动员3》很喜欢Woody，不过在第4部很快失去了兴趣。

My Desk
There are 2 computer monitors, a keyboard, a mouse, a table ramp, a book, 4 coloured pens, a microphone and a desk lamp.
I always turn the desk lamp on when I study. I'm studying English, so it's turned on now.
I usually study English at my desk with my computer because I can write in English fast and easily using the keyboard.
The reason why I put the microphone on the desk is that I sometimes use it when I meet people at a video conference.

Meeting New People
Honestly, I don't like to meet new people.
It's always difficult to meet new people because there are many things to consider when I speak with them.
I don't know enough about their preferences, privacy and thoughts, so I always have to be careful. It consumes my energy.
When I meet people I know well, I can speak in an easy mood.
However, meeting new people is inevitable in human society. Thus, I should consider meeting new people a pleasant experience.

Meeting Some Friends.
I will go to my wife's hometown, Daegu, this weekend.
My wife and I am going to visit her friend with her other friends and their own partners.
They are 4. They knew each other when they were high school students.
It's been a while since they all met because one of her friends moved out of Korea last year and has been studying at a U.S. University graduate school.
She returned to Korea for a while due to her brother's wedding, which will be held next weekend.
The meeting will be very crowded but enjoyable.

Today's Kind Person To Me
I went to a supermarket to buy some food with my two kids.
I asked the cashier how many plastic bags I could buy because there is a limit on how many bags people can purchase at once for each market.
Due to a worldwide oil shortage, companies can't produce enough plastic bags.
However, the cashier's face expressed kindness, and in particular, she gave me 10 ones while people could originally buy 5.
She said, "Because of your kids, I give you more."
What a kind person.

Toy Story 5
"Toy Story 5" will be released in Japan on Friday, July 3.
