Dystopian world
I think that I will use this website as a kind of personal diary. I honestly feel very discouraged about the course the world is taking. I'm also very anxious for my future in my country and in many others. The world is upside down. Everything I was taught to be true doesn't seem to fit with the values and goals of the people who are now in power. Today I listened to a podcast where a well-known journalist called Marta Peirano talked about Palantir and how this company is using AI to kill and persecute innocent people with total impunity. I feel like I'm in a dystopian world.

I am moved by the kindness I find in people, even when it isn't reflected in people in power. Even things as simple as this site: people, real people, are taking time to teach each other how to communicate with loved ones and new friends. And that's pretty great, I think.
