Casi todos los días me levanto a las siete y medio porque mi perro llama a mi puerta, lo que me despierta. Quiere entrar en mi dormitorio para acostarse en mi cama. Luego, me ducho y me visto. Si hace mucho calor ese día, paseo mi perro por la mañana antes de desayunar para evitar el calor. Cuando regreso, cocino el desayuno. У меня было проблемы со спиной. В ней была грыжа. В течение двух/трех лет у меня много болит. Несколько месяцев назад, была операция. Врач поремонтировал мою спину. Сейчас я все еще чувствую усталость, но движение стал лучше. Сидеть трудно, особенно когда играю на гитаре. Я рад, что боль становится меньше!

What are you proud of today?

Que me pienso orgullosa de mí misma hoy

Hace mucho calor en Barcelona hoy. Cuando me levanté en la mañana, no tenía ganas de hacer nada. Empecé a navegar por las redes sociales un 5 minutos y quería saltarme el tiempo de entrenamiento. Pero en un rato recordé una frase: "ser un 1% mejor cada día". Si realizo pequeños cambios positivos, generaré resultados extraordinarios al aprovechar el poder del interés compuesto. Entonces intenté terminar mi entrenamiento. Después de terminarlo, pensé muy orgullosa de mí misma y tenía motivación para el día.

Dlaczego uczysz się tego języka?

Dużo czas się minął od ostatniego razu, kiedy coś tutaj napisałem. Cały rok, mniej więcej.

Dzisiaj chcę pisać o pytanie, które mi zadano raczej często. Jestem poliglotą - to nie sekret - a kiedy ludzie to się dowodują, dziwią się. Jakby to był supermocą.

Kiedy widzą, że dobrze mówię po angielsku lub po francusku, to nic dziwnego. Są te języki, na których prawie wszyscy mówią. Ale gdy wspominam, że mówię też po polsku lub po rosyjsku (choć słabo, bo nie mam dużo okazji używać tych języków w codzienności), pierwsze pytanie jest "Dlaczego?". Jest to dla nich niezrozumiałe.

Nie mam na myśli mówić, że wszyscy powinni uczyć się polskiego czy coś takiego. Nie rozumiem tym, że uczyć się języków po prostu dlatego, że lubisz uczyć się języków jest dla wielu ludzi niewyobrażalny.

Uczono nam, że powinniśmy uczyć się "użytecznych" języków. Ale język nie jest tylko środkiem komunikacji. Moim zdaniem języki są przede wszystkim środkiem wyrażenia się.

Ōga‑Lotus

Um diese Jahreszeit gehört es inzwischen zu meinem kleinen Ritual, zum nahegelegenen See zu gehen und die zartrosa Blüten des Ōga‑Lotus zu genießen. Aus unvergleichlicher Schönheit von Blumen, versteht man, warum die Lotusblüte zu einem Symbol des Buddhismus geworden ist. Die großen, farbigen Blüten, die sich aus einem Meer grüner Blätter erheben, hüllen die ganze Szenerie mit einer stillen, fast heiligen Atmosphäre.
Besonders faszinierend ist die Herkunft dieser Pflanzen. Der gesamte heutige Lotusbestand geht auf einen einzigen uralten Samen zurück – einen von drei Samen, die in Chiba aus einer sechs Meter tiefen Torfschicht geborgen wurden und etwa zweitausend Jahre alt sind. Dr. Ōga gelang es, einen dieser Samen zum Keimen zu bringen und schließlich zur Blüte zu führen; seitdem trägt die Pflanze seinen Namen. Wenn ich heute vor diesen Blüten stehe am Ufer, erfüllt mich ein Gefühl des Staunens. Ich erlebe das gleiche Staunen wie die Menschen vor zwei Jahrtausenden Jahren. Dieser Gedanke ist wirklich überwältigend.

Nevers (2/2)

En la tarde visitamos el museo de la cerámica de Nevers. Hace algunos siglos, la cerámica de la ciudad era famosa por todo el país. Hay realmente obras de arte para ver allí: la minuciosidad y el talento que ese trabajo necesita… Esto es impresionante. ¡De verdad pienso que siempre admiraré los que pueden crear cosas tan magníficas! Era también posible informarse sobre los métodos de fabricación de la cerámica esmaltada.

Nevers no es ni la ciudad más conocida de Francia ni la más dinámica. Ha visto tiempos mejores. Sin embargo todavía es muy hermosa y esconde muchos tesoros insospechados. Además la Loira y sus orillas son un buen lugar para darse un paseo. Será para la próxima vez, porque en este día, el calor era demasiado fuerte para este tipo de actividad.

Siamo partiti da Tokyo all’una di notte e siamo arrivati a Londra alle sei del mattino.
Naturalmente pensavo di riuscire a dormire durante il viaggio, ma incredibilmente non sono riuscito a dormire neanche un minuto.
Pensavo che sarebbe stato davvero duro fare turismo a Londra in uno stato di tale stanchezza.

Looking for a language partner (UK only)

I am looking for a native speaker with who I could talk daily. I think honestly it's the best way to improve your fluency and your overall level of English.

First I think I need to introduce myself, then I will explain which profile I'm looking for.

My name is Solen, I'm 16 years old and I'm living in France. I'm a very interested boy, always curious to discover new things about people. I love talking about various subjects such as sports, series, musics as well as tech (I really like it but I'm not an expert. However I would love to discover new things about that). I'm currently in the 11th grade in highschool. I would like later to integrate a good engineer university in Paris because I'm passionated about maths and physics. Finally, my level in English is about a B2+.

Now, I'm going to describe my ideal profile.
First, I'm really looking for someone's living in the UK (cause I'm a big sucker of their accent even if I love the other ones). Secondly, I would like if that person is maximum 10 years older than I am (26 yo).
And honestly, I don't care whether it's a girl or a boy, I just want someone serious who's able to invest himself a 100% and available for a 30 minutes call everyday (15 min English/15 French).

Ma mère

Ma mère était une personne avant ma naissance. C’est difficile à m’imaginer mais c’est la vrai.

Un bon rappelle de ce fait est l’amie de ma mère de lycée. On s’est rencontrés en printemps. On a déjeuner ensemble; c’était moi, mon petit ami, lui et son mari. Dessus la table elle m’a dit comment elle et ma mère ont devenu meilleurs amies au lycée. Comment après la fin de ses études, elles s’envoyaient les lettres et les poésies par courrier. Elle a dit que ma mère était la plus intelligente fille dans l’école. Écoutant à ces informations m’a rendu heureuse.

Ohga Hasu

Around this time of year, it is my ritual to visit the nearby lake and watch the pink blossoms of the Ohga lotus. The flowers bloom only in the early morning, and it’s worth waking up a little earlier to witness this amazing show. When I saw the scenery for the first time, I felt why the lotus became a symbol of Buddhism. Their large, colorful petals rising from a sea of broad green leaves give the whole scenery a quiet, sacred air.
What makes the Ohga lotus even more special is its origin. The present swarm of lotus plants has grown from a single ancient seed—one of three excavated from a six‑meter‑deep peat layer in Chiba, dating back roughly two thousand years. Dr. Ohga found it in 1951 and succeeded in germinating one of them and eventually brought it into bloom, and the lotus now bears his name. Standing before these blossoms at the lake side, I cannot help feeling a sense of wonder. I am sharing the same view with people in ancient Japan, unchanged across two millennia. How TV Shows that we know, calm our nervous system

I have to admit, that I am not following the latest trends when it comes to TV-Shows, and I recently found out why. For years I have been watching series, that are sometimes more than 15 years old and every time I feel the comfort of watching them on repeat. I never felt the desire of choosing a new show. An article that I recently read, mentioned that watching shows and listening to music that we already know, calms our nervous system. We feel safe, because we already know what to expect. Everything seemed finally clear to me. Furthermore the article also revealed, that we feel comfort in this, because there was lack of comfort in our childhood. This way, we also deal with our trauma. Maybe I will never watch new shows, but so far I do not feel any regret, as long as it gives me comfort.

Hi! Right now I saw a threads with recommendation this website. In treads there was an advise to learn English with writing here a little text every day.

I want to try this way. I have been studying English with my teacher two times on the week last 2,5 years. But i haven’t a lot of spiking and writing practice. We are learning grammatical.

To be honest, English is difficult for me. I studied it during school, college. But it is endless. Maybe I need a special motivation?

スポーツ大会

今日、このあたりはスポーツ大会がありました。今日はバドミントンとバレーボールとテニスとたきゅうぶも一日中に大会があったから、授業の中に少ない生徒がいました。それで、僕の学校は半日です。全員スポーツをしない生徒は給食を食べて終わってから帰りました。全生徒は帰たにも関わらず、全先生は学校に出られなかった。なぜ、それは日本の文化ですか。もし、授業がないし生徒もいないし来週の授業の準備を終わったらし、なぜ帰るはだめです。部活部の先生は大会に行かなくてはないから働いているのは分かるけど、なぜ他の先生に帰れないですか。

世界杯

现在，世界各地的人们都在为世界杯而兴奋。
因为我对运动不感兴趣，所以从来没有看过世界杯或奥运会。很遗憾，由于转播比赛，我喜欢的节目不得不暂停。

Tea or Coffee, Which Is Your Favourite?

Let me give a little context first.
I'm from Taiwan, it is normal and cultural to drink tea everyday.
We drink tea since childhood.
My nickname on social media is Teahound.
Tea is my favourite.
Tea is less bitter than coffee, it is just right.
If I am drinking black tea, I don't add anything.
I also like green tea, but I don't drink it very often.
Tea is my favourite and best drink.

The World Cup

Now, the World Cup is being held and attracts many people.
I'm not interested in sports, so I haven't watched the World Cup or the Olympics. Because matches are aired, my favorite TV programs get canceled, so I'm a bit irritated.

There may be people like this all over the world, but I can't understand that a lot of bandwagon fans suddenly appear at times like this. Though they don't usually watch soccer matches, they excitedly watch only the World Cup.

On social media, some Japanese people claim that the J-League doesn't reach a high level, so it's boring. The World Cup is different from the J-League. I don't know whether the opinion is true or not. However, in fact, the J-League is not managed well. It is chronically in the red.
Unlike European countries, Japan doesn't have a culture of supporting local soccer teams yet.

In contrast, baseball is a popular local sport in Japan.
Even though I don't like sports, I know the names and mascots of baseball teams.

Indian Education

I came across a video about Indian children studying English.
How do kids in India learn English?
They put so much emphasis on oral practice.
They didn't use textbooks at all.
Instead, they practiced conversations with each other.
They asked each other: "What do you want?"
Although their English has an accent, they speak very confidently.
I listened several times and finally understood what they were saying.
In elementary school, they have to learn three languages: their native language, Hindi and English.
Learning three languages is mandatory for every student.
India and Pakistan make up nearly 15% of the population of Anglophone countries.
Don't look down upon the kids from India, because their language skills are very impressive.
In contrast, we spend too much time reading.
We spend our time on grammar, which is generally called "Mute English".

「Duppy Detective Tashia」というゲームの概要

最近、「Duppy Detective Tashia」をコンプリートしました。2026年6月7日、Spritewrenchにより発売されました。推理アドベンチャーゲームです。
「Duppy」とはアフリカ起源の言葉で、幽霊や精霊という意味です。カリブ海地域ではよく使われている言葉らしいです。翻字してみると、「ダッピー」かもしれませんが、正しいか分かりません。タイトルの通り、このゲームはカリブの民間伝承などの要素をたくさん振り込みます。
物語の始まりは主人公であるTashia(タシーア?)は携帯を盗んだ泥棒を追跡しています。ハーフウェー市場にたどり着いて、殺人事件に絡まれてしまいました。この市場にはDuppy だけがいます。Duppyは市場の売店を営んでます。Tashiaは携帯を見つけるのと殺人事件を解き明かすのために、Duppyを調べなければいけません。

Сегодня день был очень жаркий, почти тридцать градусов. Боже как я скучаю по Канадским кондиционерам. С чего Немцы такие скаредные, никак не пойму. Со светом и с горячей водой такая же фигня, всё экономят и волнуются, может из-за этого они столько пива пьют? Если это так, то видимо недостаточно!

В общем, я встал чуть попозже чем хотел, но пораньше чем вчера, и то ладно. Постепенно восстанавливаюсь после перелётов, надеюсь что к следующей неделе оклемаюсь. Простуда полностью не отошла, ну думаю что к завтрашнему утру, все окончательно пройдёт.

Мировые новости сегодня конечно не радуют. Обычно я стараюсь абстрагироваться от такого, но как только я прочитал оглавление, я сразу подумал про Алину. У неё дом совсем рядом с Капотней располагается. Как же я счастлив, что она сейчас в деревне. Я конечно очень соскучился по нашим разговором, но рад, что она в безопасности.

Завтра день должно быть будет ещё теплее, а у меня свиданка будет на улице. Пу-пу-пу, посмотрим как дело пойдёт, ну в принципе в том районе есть много мест где можно скрыться от жары. Думаю что в любом случае будет хороший день.

What languages can you speak?

Je souhaite être polyglotte

Bien sûr, comme je suis brésilienne, je parle très bien portugais, parce qu'au Brésil tout le monde parle portugais. C'est notre langue officielle.
Quand j'étais adolescente, mon père me disait que je devais appprendre une nouvelle langue et que cette langue devait être l'anglais, parce qu'il croyait que c'était une langue universelle. Alors, j'ai appris l'anglais.
Aujourd'hui, je parle souvent avec mes amis étrangers. De plus, je souhaite être polyglotte. En ce moment, je suis en train d'apprendre le français parce que cette langue m'intéresse beaucoup. ;)
