Campear bajo la lluvia
El verano pasado fui a campear con mi pareja. Decidimos partir en coche así que podríamos dormir en el maletero si fuera necesario. De verdad, sabíamos que íbamos a visitar algunos sitios donde no es legal campear, por esto confiábamos en la posibilidad de dormir en coche - el maletero de mi coche es bastante amplio para poder inflar un colchón para dos y añadir almohadas de manera que sea posible descansar confortablemente. Justo cuando llegamos a Suiza, empezó a llover fuerte. No supimos adonde ir, así que decidimos parar el coche a lado de una esquina de montaña y esperar que la lluvia se parase. Nunca pasó en las horas siguientes, por tanto decidimos irse a dormir allí. Quedarse dormidos fue bastante complicado con el ruido del agua golpeando sobre el techo y contra las ventanas, pero al final lo conseguimos.

今日はLangCorrectを見つけました。いろいろな言語を練習できて、他のスピーカーに訂正されるサイトやアプリを探して、このサイトはよくおすすめした。日本語を５年以上自習しているので、訂正される機会はほとんどなくて、文法や話すことのレベルを上げにくいです。最近、上級の文法を集中していて、今まで楽しんでいました。教科書の説明はたいていわかるけど、実際に使い方をよく間違えたり忘れたりして、ちょっと悔しいです。５年でも日本語で気持ちをあまり伝えられない気がして、ときどき日本語の進歩について話すのは恥ずかしいです。かと言って、強みは読むことと聞くことだから、まだ何かを学んでいると言っても、望むほどじゃないです。
でも、今LangCorrectでネイティブに訂正されることを知るので、毎日日本語で書こうようにして、訂正を見直したいと思います。こうやって書くのが上手くなって、それから話すことも上手くなりますように🙏。

Geigekurs und Friseur
Ich habe heute meinen Geigekurs und eine Verabredung des Friseurs gehabt. Anfangs dachte ich, dass ich nach dem Kurs direkt zu den Friseur fahre. Als ich doch aufgestanden bin, war es sehr heiß und ich glaubte, dass es unmöglich sein wird, mit meiner Geige bis zum Bahnhof zu gehen. Es ist ein Viertel zu Fuß von dem Haus der Lehrerin bis zum Bahnhof und mir wird zu heiß sein, wenn ich auf dem Rücken die Geige habe. Also entschied mir ich zu haus ein Mal nach dem Kurs zurückzukommen, um meine Geige entzuladen.

Une discussion inattendue avec le chef
Depuis l’année dernière, Nina travaille dans une entreprise américaine. Son domaine d’expertise est le marketing. Nina est intelligente, travailleuse et compétente dans son travail. Je suis certaine que son équipe la respecte. L’équipe de Nina travaille ici en Australie mais sa chef et le siège social se trouvent aux États-Unis.
Chaque semaine, le chef a consacré une heure pour discuter avec Nina. Ils parlent des projects encours, des nouvelles tâches et des échéances.Pendant la dernière réunion, le chef a constaté qu’en ce moment, l’entreprise américaine était en difficulté puisque les dépenses ont été élevées, les ventes ont été faibles et les bénéfices ont été en baisse. Le PDG cherchait fortement des gains d’efficacité. Apparemment chaque semaine, il y avait des discussions sur le budget, le personnel et l’augmentation de la part de marché.
Le chef a mentionné à Nina qu’une de ces mesures d’efficacité pourrait être une restructuration de l’organisation. Le PDG a suggéré que tout le travail peut être centralisé aux États-Unis. Autrement dit, l’équipe en Australie serait démantelée ou plus précisément délocalisée aux États-Unis. Nina était choquée et bouleversée. Cette possibilité était absolument inattendu. Après la réunion, elle a fondu en larmes et s’est interrogée : vais-je perdre mon emploi ?

Ho iniziato la giornata alla grande. Mi sono svegliata molto presto, ho fatto una passeggiata e poi ho messo in ordine la casa.
Ieri è stata una giornata di relax, ma oggi non ne è più una. Spero di liberarmi delle faccende per oggi entro questo pomeriggio.
Di solito mia mamma viene a trovarci ogni venerdì, ma ieri mi ha detto che sarebbe potuta venire a trovarci giovedì.
Non riesco quasi mai a passeggiare molto di mattina. Prima dell'arrivo dell'estate uscivo spesso, ma fa troppo caldo questi giorni.
Ho quasi finito il libro di cui parlavo ieri. Anche se è da molto tempo che non lo leggo, non importa. La fine del libro è molto più interessante di quanto mi pareva.
Ho ordinato online altri 3 libri e aspetto che arrivino domani. Fortunatamente li ho ordinati per riceverli all'Easybox.
Dato che domani e dopodomani vado in ufficio, li prendo prima di ritornare a casa. L'Easybox si trova vicino a casa mia, a 3 minuti a piedi.

Une pénurie de logements
Booking.com dont j’ai déjà parlé dans l’un de mes posts précédents est ma plateforme préférée lorsque je cherche un hébergement temporaire, à courte terme. Mais, il y en a beaucoup d’autres comme Air BNB, STAYZ et Vrbo. Je n’exagère pas mais, avec ces modernes applications d’hébergement, c’est beaucoup plus facile et plus bon marché de planifier et de voyager.
J’ai lu un article sur BBC, le diffuser national de l’Angleterre. Il s’agissait de la plateforme d’hébergement, Air BNB. J’étais étonnée d’apprendre que les locations à court terme sur Air BNB sont interdites dans certaines villes comme New York, Berlin et dans plusieurs villes en Californie. Ici, en Australie, il n’y a aucune restriction.
Selon la BBC, le maire de Barcelone a également récemment annoncé que la ville va interdire des locations de courte durée à partir de novembre 2028. Il a expliqué qu’en ce moment, il existe une pénurie de logements pour les résidents. Il a affirmé que cette crise a été exacerbée par des appartements réservés sur Air BNB et les autres plateformes similaires. Selon ses chiffres, il y avait environ 10 000 appartements mis de côté. Néanmoins, selon l’un des experts, cette mesure d’interdiction, ne résoudra pas le problème.

Algunos pensamientos
Cuando no uso Internet, me siento más cómoda. Me siento mal por los niños que no tienen más remedio que crecer en un mundo en el que la tecnología nociva es inevitable. Obviamente no creo que la tecnología sea mala, pero no tengo fe en que los niños no estén siendo aprovechados por capitalistas a los que sólo les importan sus beneficios. Espero que la regulación gubernamental sea cada vez más común.

If you come to Shanghai
I recently saw some videos about foreigners visiting Shanghai, and most had the same routes.
Perhaps they were following the same travel guidelines, or maybe they just happened to have the same friend.
Well, if you come to Shanghai, as your friend online, I'd like to share some places I've taken my friends to visit.
The first one is the Shanghai Museum.
I'm a little surprised that it's not on the routes in the videos, especially for a person first coming to China. It's a place where you can see many cultural relics throughout the history of Chinese civilization.

Japanese
I am starting to learn Japanese. I took a Japanese class when I was in college, but it was only for half a semester, and I only learned the Japanese syllabary. Right now, I use Duolingo for learning basic vocabulary and building a daily routine. The challenge is that I need to switch my brain from English to Japanese to get into the flow—these two languages are just too different. I believe Japanese is more similar to Mandarin; when I try to learn Japanese, I don't need to reshape my brain, but with English, I need to be very concentrated to put myself in the right mindset. I think this is caused by two reasons. First, because of linguistic distance, Mandarin is much more similar to Japanese than English. For example, I struggle with the pronunciation of English much more than Japanese. Secondly, I have been consuming tons of Japanese dramas and anime since I was a child. Although I watched them with subtitles, I might still have built a sense of familiarity with Japanese.

Making Glasses for Kids Used to Be Very Difficult

You Westerners often have farsightedness, so you wear convex lens glasses, which make your eyes look larger. In contrast, Japanese people often have nearsightedness, so we wear concave lenses, which make our eyes look smaller.
If a child's farsightedness is overlooked, they won't be able to see well both far and near, which significantly affects the development of their vision. Therefore, it is essential to be careful not to miss farsightedness. On the other hand, nearsightedness means poor distance vision but good near vision, so it does not adversely affect the development of vision itself. It is often noticed when the child cannot see the blackboard from the back of the classroom, but this can be somewhat resolved by moving their seat to the front.
In my case, perhaps because my mother was severely nearsighted, my parents worried that I might be nearsighted when I was in my last year of kindergarten. As a result, I ended up having a detailed examination at a university hospital in Osaka, which was very far from my town. This happened 60 years ago. Nowadays, my nearsightedness and astigmatism could be assessed with computer measurements, but back then, the test was only using the Landolt rings (symbols that look like the capital letter "C" with a gap where the black ink is partly missing on a circle).

Since the answers could be "up," "down," "right," or "left," I should have had a 25% chance of getting it right even if I guessed. However, as a child, I didn't even know if there were eight choices like "upper right" or "two o'clock" on a clock face, or twelve choices. Moreover, as a child, my concentration didn't last long, and I gradually became tired, which affected the reproducibility of the test.
Eventually, I got a prescription for glasses, and a week later, when I went to pick them up and had my vision remeasured, there was hardly any improvement in my vision. I remember the doctor and my parents being disappointed.

07.07.24 - "Homo Faber"
Ho cominciato di recente a leggere “Homo Faber: ein Bericht”, un romanzo degli anni 50’ pubblicato in tedesco da uno scrittore svizzero. Un professore di tedesco all’università me lo ha regalato tre anni fa perché aveva un eccesso di libri e voleva che noi studenti leggessimo più nella lingua. Recentemente l’ho visto fra un mucchio di libri nella casa e ho deciso di leggerlo per rivisitare il tedesco e magari studiare la lingua di nuovo. Finora ricordo abbastanza bene le regole grammatiche del tedesco, ma ho dimenticato molte parole, in particolare quelle che spesso non si usano ma che appariscono nei contesti letterari. Sono molto gratta per il dizionario bilingue automatico sul portatile! Ciononostante mi piace finora il ritmo stilistico del romanzo, spero continuare a sentire così.

Chaque nuit, j'observe deux cyclistes qui roulent à travers la rue dans laquelle j'habite. Ce sont des livreurs qui travaillent pour un service de livraison de repas. Ils ont l'air de venir d'Afrique. À cette heure-là, il est tellement calme que l'on entend le son de leurs pneus et leurs voix très douces après cette longue journée de travail.

J'aime bien écrire avec un crayon grâce au moment où il devient trop petit pour pouvoir continuer à écrire avec lui. Son remplacement par un nouveau crayon représente pour moi presque un moment de bonheur furtif. C'est comme avec les tubes de dentifrice. Ou avec les agglomérations de flocons de poussière sur le plancher.
