제가 한국어를 배우는 이유
3년 전에 제 한국인 친구는 제가 그녀와 함깨 한국어 수업을 듣는 것을 원했어요. 여름 동안 그녀 더 좋은 점수를 원했어요. 그런데 혼자 가고 싶지않아요. 보통 선생님이 되기 위해서 대학교에 프랑스어와 스페인어를 공부해요. 그리고 새 언어를 재미있는 것 같았어요. 한글이 가장 쉬웠는데 어휘과 듣기가 문제가 되어 왔어요. 이 수업이 전에 저는 한국팝과 한국드라마들을 많이 안 보지만 공부하기 위해서 그들 이용하기 때문에 좋아하기 시작했어요. 공부를 쉬기 후에 지금 혼자 연습하고 있는데 올해 원어민과 더 얘기하고 싶은 것을 제 목적이예요. 읽기 감사합니다!

Regulation of coal ash
The content of the reading and listening is totally contradictory in the new regulations of protecting the environment from burning coal in power plants that produce coal ash. Firstly, the reading mentions that environmental regulations already exist. Companies are required to use liner for preventing coal ash leaking into the ponds or landfills. However, the listening maintains that the regulations are not sufficient at all, because the liner has to be used only when companies build new landfills or pounds. Companies are not required to use in odd one. So, it causes significant damage that chemical materials leak into drinking water.
Secondly, the reading suggests that coal ash has been recycled, which is used in building materials like concrete and brinks, but customers concern that the materials are too dangerous. So they stop buying the products. Yet, the listening asserts that the regulations are not likely stopping customers from buying the products. Take mercury, for example, it is harmful material, but it is successfully and safely recycled for a long time. There are a few concerns from customers.
Lastly, the reading implies that strict new regulations would be raising electricity costs. Likewise, the speaker disputes it and stresses that although the cost increases, the benefit from coal ash is worthwhile than the extra cost. In addition, the cost increases the customers' electricity bill only one percent.

Higher education is valuable for a young person’s future
Dear Sir,
I am writing in response to the recently published article about the value of higher education for a young person’s future. I would like to outline my views on the subject as well as assess the extent to which higher education may be indispensable for young people.
Inarguably, higher education helps young people secure their place under the Sun in the modern extremely volatile and competitive job market. This impact seems to be at least two-fold. Not only does higher education instil some knowledge in the minds of young people, but it also prepares them for the adversity they are bound to encounter later in life. While studying at universities, students are faced with a lot of challenges that must be surmounted. In other words, the academic milieu is instrumental in fostering diligence, assiduity, and thinking-outside-the-box. Opportunity-wise, these features will render yesterday’s alumni eligible for a wider array of job offers.
Casting my mind back to my days at university, I feel glad to have been there. These were my formative years, a stepping stone towards becoming an accomplished individual with a well-rounded personality. It was during this time that I realized what the passion of my life was. I was engrossed in the subject of my research. I was ready to go an extra mile. And, I guess, I was lucky enough. The fusion of these components made me stand out. I got noticed.
At some juncture, some offers for better academic prospects started to trickle. The more results I delivered, the better the offers were. Although I, regrettably, had to leave the academic milieu for good, the analytical mindset that higher education imparted onto me turned out to be indispensable later in my life when I embarked upon my career as an application engineer. Equally essential were the desire for continuous development and the ability to thrive on pressure that seemed to have come to the fore back in my university days.
It is often said that having a degree just adds another social role young people are going to play. Be that as it may, the impact of higher education cannot be circumscribed by this purely utilitarian dimension. Most importantly, higher education profoundly alters the mindset and adds another facet to the personalities of young people. This feeling is incredibly empowering; as such, it may give young people the key with which they may open the hitherto closed doors to a better life and a better world. That is why higher education is extremely valuable.

25 years after the Great Hanshin Earthquake
Kobe’s Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake happened on Jan. 17th, 1995.
This is from an article about that earthquake.
“ The magnitude 7.3 quake, which reached the maximum of 7 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale, left 6,434 people dead, over 43,000 injured and forced more than 316,000 to evacuate. Nearly a quarter million buildings were heavily damaged or destroyed.”
I was 9 years old then.
There were my father, mother, grandmother, my eldest brother, second eldest brother, and me at house in Osaka.
Fortunately, only one plate fell down and broke, and we were all safe.
Few days later, my grandmother’s sister-in-law (my grandfather’s sister) came to our house.
Her house in Kobe collapsed, so she stayed at our house for several months.
Our house was too small and we seldom invited any friends until then.
I felt it was really unusual, and there was something emergency happening.
I was too young to understand the whole thing, but I was really happy to be with her.
She was really calm and had a warm heart. She always smiled and played with me.
This memory will remain forever.
I believe that now she always smiles at me from the happiest place called heaven.
In 2018, a big earthquake happened in Hokkaido.
Electricity stopped, but my husband, son, and I were safe.
Soon the power had returned in my apartment, but it seemed still utilities were dead at many of buildings nearby my place.
I called some of my neighbor friends and their families to my small apartment.
I let them use shower, and made simple meals to them.
I strongly wanted to do something I could do then.
Sorry, today’s journal is very long.
I pray for the victims, and may the souls of them rest in peace.

El poble sami
Als països de Noruega, Suècia, Finlàndia i Rusia hi visc el poble Sami. Tenen un terreny que s'extén pel territori nord d'aquests països. Recentment els he descobert, i sent sincer, estic molt interessat en aprendre sobre la seua cultura, història i llengua. N'hi ha el problema més obvi: que hi visc a un país molt llunyà; i altre també: que tinc els estudis universitaris ací i no puc anar-me a altre país. Tampoc és que tinga diners, és clar! Però, conseguint alguns petits recursos online, he pogut arribar a composar una mena de llista de paraules i frases, i, fins i tot, estic escrivint textos curtets en sami del nord en aquesta mateixa pàgina web. Tinc molta il·lusió per a aprendre un muntó més! Aixó sí, m'encantaria conèixer una persona sami i poder parlar en ell o ella i poder aprendre des d'una font més real i natural. De veres pense que les llengües s'aprenen millor quan ets en l'ambient lingüístic d'on és la llengua. És molt obvi, però és cert que per internet o per qualsevol altra via, si li posses l'esforç, pots aprendre qualsevol llengua!

Mein Lieblingsjahreszeit
Mein Lieblingsjahreszeit ist Winter. Viele Menschen, die ich getroffen habe, haben mir gesagt, dass Sommer der beste Jahreszeit ist. Sie mögen die Sonneschein und die Hitze sehr. Ich verstehe warum. Manchmal werden der Regnen und bewolkter Himmel sehr trist sein und Strände und Schwimmen sind toll und entspannend. Aber ich komme aus einen Ort, im die Hitze kann unerträglich sein.
Im Sommer, wenn man heiß ist, man nicht alle die Kleidung ausziehen kann. Allerdings im Winter, kann man mehr und mehr Kleidung anziehen, bis mann zufrieden mit seiner Gemütlichkeit ist. Ich setzte mich gern auf dem Sofa, in viele Decke bedeckt, und ich gehe mit die Decke um dem Haus. Ich liebe auch den Schnee. Ich hoffe, es schneit bald. Jedoch, vermute ich, dass das Leben in Winter ist mehr teuer, wegen der Kosten der Heizung.

<Zwei Sprachen gleichzeitig lernen>
Ich sorge mich darum, dass ich jetzt wieder Koreanisch lernen muss. In Südkorea wohnte ich 8 Jahren lang, aber ich war derzeitig viel zu beschäftigt mit der Arbeit, fokusiert auf Koreanisch Lernen zu sein. Außerdem war ich nicht nur zunächst im Jahr 2009 da (als nicht so viel online Materialen existierten), sondern auch wohnte ich in einer relativ kleinen Stadt, wo es kein/e koreanisch LehrerIn gab. Dann vor 3 Jahren entschieden mein Mann und ich, nach Deutschland umzuziehen, um unsere Masterarbeit zu machen. Deshalb mussten wir dringend Deutsch lernen, und als Resultat sank meine koreanische Niveau sofort tief. Ich war einmal B1/B2 aber jetzt fühle ich mich wieder wie A2. Ich erinnere viel Grammatik Punkte, aber bin jedes Mal frustriert, nicht genug Vokabeln zu haben, um meine Ideen erfolgreich auszudrücken. Ich drücke die Daumen...

Ein kurzer Dialog zwischen einem Freund und mir.
- Zu welchem Konzert gehen wir dieses Wochenende?
- Magst du Heavy Metal bzw. Rockmusik? Dann können wir zur berühmten Iron Maiden Band gehen.
- Oh nein, bitte nicht. Ich mag zwar Rockmusik ziemlich gern, aber keine Heavy Metal...
- Ach so, ich verstehe. Auf diesem Festival gibt es also mehrere Bands. Lass uns doch zum Linkin Park Konzert gehen, die spielen sehr gute Musik.

Today's Article
I read an article about a startup company that manufactures plastic from methane.
They feed methane to their special-made bacteria. The bacteria transform it into a biopolymer that is then sold to plastic producers. When their bioplastic finishes with its uses, it will biodegrade back into methane. They call it a closed-loop cradle-to-cradle process, which is patented. Even if this biodegradable plastic ends up in the ocean, it will be digested naturally by marine organisms.
The company is called Mango Materials. The CEO says she wanted to sound different. I feel like everything related to this company sounds brilliant.

ADVICE TO AN ENVIRONMENT PROJECT MANAGER
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing with regard to the advertisement published recently on the local newspaper, ‘City Daily’, which appeals to locals for help in your environment projects.
The issue that most concern me is the increasing trash on the street, especially in our downtown area. Since last year, our municipality has experienced a population boom due to sharply increasing immigrants. As a consequence, the local government is facing a tough challenge in maintaining public cleanliness.
Upon reading the advertisement posted, I believe that I could offer some help to you. First, my friends and I are more than willing to collect trash voluntarily on weekends. Besides, we could design and print some posters and flyers to educate people how to dispose of the waste correctly.
Though we can help to relieve the problem in a short term, local government should take further steps to solve the problem in the long run. Apparently, more government funds should be allocated to hire more full-time dustmen. And extra trash cans on the street would also be a good idea.

Ce que l’auteur a écrit dans sa article est encore très relevante dans notre societé. Nous Hommes ont la tendance de nous allienons à les communautes. En effet, l’Homme pourrait vivre seulement aussi, mais comme il est un être social et politique, il a besoin d’une communauté pour être a meme de se réaliser. En outre, pas de humains veulent être exclu de la société, car il y a une grande difference entre d’état d’être seule et l’isolement completement. Pourtant, il ya aussi des desavantages d’être influencé beacoup de valeurs et normes d’autre personnes ou de la societé et d’ignorer les propres valuers, prolongé. On peut dire que notre liberté est aussi restreindu à cause du progrès technologique, l’example de Big Brother est bel et bien justifié dans ce cas, c’est une example très extreme mais on peut voir des paralles dans la vie des humains contemporains aussi: Par exemeple, de plus en plus sites Internet veulent acces à nos cookies pour nous présenter des publicités. Par exemple, j’ai cherché pour les proudits cosmetics sur l’Internet et j’ai rencontrer de la publicité à cosmetics sur chaque media sociale pour various semains.

Ein schwerer Tag
Heute war ein schwerer Tag. Ich hatte viel Arbeit, aber habe nicht viel getan. Meine Hauptaufgaben sind sehr absktrakt, dennoch es der Anfang des Jahrs ist und ich muss einen Jahrplan machen. Als mein Tag sehr schwierig war, heute schreibe ich nur bisschen.
Morgen möchte ich früh aufwachen und fahre vor meine Mitarbeiter nach Büro. Ich werde eine Checkliste mit zwei oder drei Aufgaben machen. Ich glaube, dass es auch einfacher sei wenn ich meine Idee zum Papier schreiben wird. Wenn etwas abstrakt ist, versuchte ich es greifbar machen, indem schreiben zum Papier.
Hoffentlich werde ich früher Schlüß machen!

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In order for a business to succeed, it must put more money in advertising.
When asked is it must put more money in advertising in order to become successful business, most people strongly support the idea that it should spend big money on it, while some disagree. Personally, I side with the latter. I think it is not necessary to put large amount money in advertising.
Firstly, putting more money on increasing quality of product will bring business to succeed. Rather buying a beautiful product, people choose a high quality one. A business improve a product’s quality is beneficial to them, because it will attract more and more customer and keep the customer in long term as well. Iphone, for instance, Apple is one of successful technology companies in the world. It puts a big amount of money on enhancing the quality of iphone’s system, applications, appearance and so on in order to cause much more people’s interests. This strategy totally works, since once most people use iPhone, they are not willing to use others companies’ since they are already used to iPhone’s system. So, focusing on quality leads a business to succeed.
Secondly, they said, producing a product is people looking for. People always buy a product that is practical, convenient and facilitative. In other words, they dislike a good that is difficult to use, hard to carry. If a business yearns to succeed, they must spend a lot money on designing a product that customers are easy to use. A case in point, in the past, people were using CD player for listening; however, they are using MP3 which is easier to carry around and light. A company who made MP3 was producing a product that people think is practical, so it is worth to invest money on it.
Admittedly, some people might say that it must put more money in advertising in order for business to succeed, it will either boost their brands or create a trend. For example, a coke company sponsored a celebrity to endorse their product. The well-known person took a photo, post on the social media, and tried to attract people to buy it. The company spent money on the celebrity, attempting to advertise people. However, the action of putting much more money in advertising will not lead a business to succeed, since a company should focus on their product’s quality and practical utility. These definitely bring a far benefit to a company, after all.

I Dolci!
Pensavo di scrivere questo diario in giapponese perché voglio provare a usare il giapponese il più possibile ma penso che il mio giapponese non sia sufficiente per esprimermi chiaramente.
Ieri dopo la lezione, sono andata alla panetteria di Dominique Ansel appena aperta la scorsa settimana. Non vedevo l'ora di assaggiare i suoi dolci perché sono un fan di signor Ansel. Ammiraro la sua passione per fare i dolci, è il mio mastro pasticciere preferito. A me, è un maestro nei dolci francesi. Nella panetteria, ci sono dei dolci che sono a forma del cibo tradizionale di Hong Kong che è più famoso. Secondo me, signor Ansel ha fatto un bel lavoro nella localizzazione.
Alla fine, ho comprato la madeleine alle castagne che somiglia ad una castagna arrosto. Erano sfornate da poco, così erano deliziose! Ho comprato anche un croissant ma non l'ho ancora provato.
Ho il suo libro di ricette ma non ho ancora provato le ricette perché mi sembrano molto difficile da fare. Spero di migliorare la mia abilità di fare i dolci prima di provare le sue ricette.
