Cinq ans
Le hêtre (Fagus) connaît un cycle de grande abondance environ tous les cinq ans, au cours duquel il produit une quantité exceptionnelle de glands. C’est un phénomène bien connu dans la nature : les petits animaux comme les écureuils adaptent leur population à la quantité de ces fruits. Et lorsqu’une année, les glands tombent en trop grande quantité pour être consommés, ils les enterrent un peu partout. C’est là une stratégie d’une remarquable intelligence de la part de la plante.
J’aime transposer cette stratégie à ma propre vie. Car ce que l’on ne peut pas accomplir en un an ou deux, on peut l’accumuler, patiemment, sans relâche, pendant cinq ans… et finir par atteindre une certaine masse de savoirs, d’expériences, une forme de plénitude. Quand je me lance dans un nouveau défi, je ne me laisse jamais emporter par l’impatience. Car j’ai en tête ce cycle de cinq ans.
Aujourd’hui, cela fait un an et neuf mois que j’apprends le français. Et je crois sincèrement qu’avec encore trois années de persévérance, une grande saison d’abondance m’attend.

I really like listening to English podcast, because it's fun way to learn English and getting used to the English that is used by native speakers. There are so many types of podcast so that everybody can find something that interest them. These are my favourite: 6 Minutes English from BBC, Speak Better English with Harry, The British English Podcast. Do you have any recommendations? I'm curious what native speakers listen to (it doesn't have to be for learning English).

Всем привет. Сегодня вам расскажу ещё местную легенду, легенду о дионнской яме.
В городке Тоннере, в Бургундии, находится уникальный карстовый источник бирюзового цвета. Он существует с Античности, и благодаря ему развился маленький город Тоннер. В 18-ом веке, Луи Д'Эон (Louis d'Éon), отец известного Шевалье Д'Эон (однажды я вероятно напишу о нём!), строив бассейн на источнике, превратил его в место для стирки белья.
Один рассказ гласит, что ужасное чудовище жило там: басилиск. Басилиски похожи на драконов и могут возвращать людей в камень взглядом. Он напугал весь Тоннер, который был в то время ещё деревней. Жители спросили у одного священника помочь им. Этот человек назывался Святой Риомский Иван (Saint Jean de Réome). Он не бояля существо, и начал копать, копать, и копать ещё (потому что басилиск жил под землией). Внезапно большое количество воды выхлынуло: Иван нашёл источник, и вода потопила чудовище.
Согласно другой сторией, дьявол сам следовал за бедной девушкой. Она почти могла чувствовать его адскую реку на плече. Отячанная девушка тогда начала молиться Пресвятой Деве, и Дева в пальте изумрудного цвета появилась в ореоле, открыка яму чистой воды и вела девушку в неё. Так она спасла его от дьявола. Но Дева забыла пальто в новом источнике и с тех пор, вода имеет этот особенный цвет.

Hi, let me introduce myself. Firstly, I am glad to see you and thanks for giving a chance to interview. My name is Joseph. I have over 9 years experiences at many electrical related projects. As I have a bachelor of electrical engineer, I worked at electrical field in my initial life and gradually insight to project management. I worked deep in many electrical projects such as smart energy and automation system, township power distribution and solar installation. I am a department head of energy meter department which is to implement installation of smart energy meters the whole Yangon and automated reading and billing system in present time. In my past, I handled three township's energy meter department head which we got as a franchise from Yangon electricity Supply Cooperation (YESC). And also I have led as a project engineer for competing many smart energy meter import to government projects tenders. Our company had some projects with my leading skill at Mandalay and Naypyitaw region. At this time, project scope was simple and did not handle financial and business communication. But the present projects are bigger than previous and include many financial, business and leadership skills. Therefore, I need to enhance my skills on financial, business strategy and leadership by learning a master program one solution like MBA. I know there are many MBA courses in local but EMBA courses which is given from Yangon University of Economic is very popular in business sectors and between companies. So, I would like to try to attend an EMBA class there. I believe this program can enhance my business strategy and financial skills.

Bonne fête nationale !
Est-ce que vous allez célébrer aujourd'hui ? Oui peut-être vous l'avez déjà fait le week-end. Je sais que ma ville a organisé une fête hier avec un barbecue et des feux d'artifice. C'était un peu dommage parce qu'il pleuvait fort entre 9h et 10h30, mais j'ai entendu les feux d'artifice après cela.
J'ai remarqué que les Français célèbrent des événements sur le week-end en lieu du vrai jour de l'événement beaucoup plus souvent que les Américains. Le 14 juillet est un jour férié pour presque tout le monde en France donc pourquoi le célébrer le dimanche au lieu du lundi ? Ça ne me dérange pas, c'est juste une curiosité pour moi.
Je sais que mon mari aime les feux d'artifice, mais il n'a jamais demandé d'aller les voir. Il sait aussi que je m'ennuie de les regarder donc peut-être il ne demande pas dans mon intérêt. Je lui proposerai d'aller à la prochaine opportunité.
J'ai grandi à proximité de Disneyland où je pouvais voir les feux d'artifice tous les soirs. J'imagine que c'est pour ça que je ne me préoccupe d'eux. Je me rends compte aussi que je n'ai jamais vu des petits feux d'artifice à vendre en France ; est-ce que ça n'existe pas ? Tant mieux si c'est le cas.

Χτες σε πήρα τηλέφωνο αλλά δεν το σήκωσες. Μιλήσαμε στο τηλέφωνο με τη μητέρα μου για πολλή ώρα. Πέταξα το σκουπίδι το βράδυ και γύρισα στο σπίτι. Έπαιξα λίγο κιθάρα και πιάνο. Χτες κολύμπησα για μία ώρα. Μπήκα στο ίντερνετ και ψώνισα. Έπαιξα ένα παιχνίδι στον υπολογιστή. Έβαλα τα ρούχα στο πλυντήριο. Επισκέφτηκα τον φίλο μου στο νοσοκομείο.

Lunedì 14 luglio
All'improvviso, stamattina ho deciso di finalmente tagliarmi i capelli, solo le punte. Ho chiamato il salone vicino a casa mia per prendere un appuntamento.
Per fortuna, sembra che non molta gente vada al salone il lunedì, perché sono passati solo trenta minuti dal momento in cui ho chiamato a quando mi hanno tagliato i capelli.
Credo di essere pronta ad affrontare il futuro e a iniziare qualcosa di nuovo e meraviglioso con il nuovo progetto.

Today was making roll cake.
I made roll cake in a while so I forgot how to make roll cake but I could make roll cake halfway.
By the way, I went to sleep at 12 o'clock yesterday.
Even though I set an alarm for 7:30, I got up 5:30.
As a result, I felt sleep while making roll cake so I and my mother took turn to make roll cake.
Surprisingly, I had slept for two hours.

My Prefer Reading Style
Hi, good morning. I want to tell you about my reading culture while I have a little free time. As you know, I'm very busy with my school. So I don't have a little time to rest and read a book. Therefore, I read a book on the bus when I going to school and back from school. I always use my phone to read the book on the bus. So I always use eBooks. But I actually always want to read with paper. But it is sometimes not to find easily around my environment. So I always use free website if I want to read a book. I think most people may interest by reading paper. By reading paper, I can feel satisfied and note with one time. But paper always make a garbage for the world. if we use eBooks on digital platform, it can reduce use of paper and can support modern life. But it can effect on our eyes' health. Everybody has mobile phone today so I think eBooks reading is most popular around the world. How about you?

¿Prefieres los libros electrónicos o los libros en papel?
Uso ambos, pero últimamente he estado leyendo casi exclusivamente en formato electrónico. Disfruto de ciertos aspectos de los libros en papel, como la sensación táctil de las páginas y la posibilidad de ver cuánto me queda por leer. Sin embargo, desde que empecé a leer principalmente en español, las ventajas de los libros electrónicos me parecen demasiado buenas como para ignorarlas. Por ejemplo, puedo resaltar fragmentos para encontrarlos fácilmente más tarde, pulsar una palabra para obtener su definición al instante (ya sea en español o en inglés) e incluso utilizar herramientas como Wikipedia o Google Translate, aunque de forma muy limitada. Ahora que mi español ha mejorado bastante, creo que voy a empezar a alternar con libros físicos.

Ein Sushi in Australien zubereiten
Als ich in Australien wohnte, habe ich bei einem Freund Sushi zubereitet, aber es ist nicht gut gelaufen. Das Reis dabei war weniger klebrig, das nicht günstig für das Sushi war. In Australien gab es in Supermarkt vielen Sorten Reis, aber meistens waren nicht günstig für Sushi. Obwohl japanische Reis sehr teur war, war mindestens koreanisch Reis nötig, wenn man ein Sushi zubereitet.

「ロンド」か？「ランド」か？
今日は小説を読んだ時、「ロンド」という知らない単語と出会いました。
意味を探したら、この単語はイタリヤ語の「rondo」で、「回旋曲」とも知られる、クラシック音楽の一種と分かりました。
ロンドは、一つのテーマのメロディは何度も繰り返して、テーマとテーマの間ごとに、毎度異なるメロディが出ます。こうして、「ABACA」のような仕組みが作られってきました。
しかし、意味がわかっても、小説に戻る時、どうしても元の文の意味は通りませんでしたでした。元の文によって、その単語は曲の一種より、「世界」の意味だと思いました。
もしかして、作者が書いたいのは「ロンド」ではなく、「ランド」かもしれませんか?

Mí intento de balancear mí vída personal y el trabajo
Empecé un trabajo nuevo recientemente. Es mi primer 9 a 5. Todavía estoy en el proceso de acostumbrarme a ese horario, pero estoy tomando pasos para balancear mí vída personal y mí trabajo. Siempre trato de ír al gimnasio despues de las 5 e invitó a una amiga para hacerlo mas divertído. Mi plan es también estudiar español cuando regreso del gym (aunque no he sido juiciosa con eso en estos días, voy a ponerle mas esfuerzo). También estoy averiguando clases de salsa; siento que es importante tener una actividad que esperar.
Los fines de semana los paso con mis amigos o con mí familia -- soy el tipo de persona que tiende islarse por estar cansada entonces esto es un paso muy importante para mantener ese balancé de vida.
Compré una piscinita inflable para priorizar tomar el sol, la vitamina D es muy imporante para la salud mental y fisíca.
