In life, there are two important choices most of us face: finding a job that suits us, and finding a person to love and build a life with.
I believe that to begin either of these journeys, we must first look inward. We need to recognize our own strengths to develop, and our weaknesses to improve. Self-awareness is the foundation for making wise choices.
We often talk about the idea of an "ideal"—an ideal job and an ideal partner. But what does ideal really mean? Everyone has their own definition. For me, an ideal job is one where I can contribute and help others solve real-life problems. And an ideal partner is someone who builds a happy family with me, someone who supports and grows with me.
In the end, I believe that compatibility is not just about “finding the right one,” but also about constantly improving ourselves. Every day, I try a little harder to work on my shortcomings, so I can grow more compatible—with the job I pursue, and the person I love.

I always have a hard time deciding what to eat for lunch.
Maybe a "two meats and one veggie" combo is my standard meal.
For the meats, I’m thinking about mouthwatering poached chicken in chili oil or spicy pepper chicken nuggets.
But I also crave some braised chicken gizzards today… What a struggle!
For the veggie, should I go with century egg with stir-fried green chili, or maybe some sizzling potato strips in dry pot style?
Ugh, choosing lunch feels like the biggest decision of the day!

I was born and raised in a small village in a farmer’s family. I lived there until I was fifteen years old.
When I was fifteen years old, I went to a specialized technical secondary school in my hometown to study.
Three years later, I graduated from that school and was assigned to a job in another county.
After I worked there for four years, I was transferred back to the city where I had studied.
In my hometown, I have worked in three different departments, but all of them belong to the agriculture industry.
In the late eighties, I married a nurse who worked in the local traditional Chinese hospital.
The next year, we had our only child, my son. Now my son works in the fourth hospital of my city as a network engineer.
My wife retired in 2020. I have two years left before I am allowed to retire due to the different retirement ages for different genders in China.
I am not a rich person, nor is my family. All we want is to have healthy bodies and a peaceful life. I hope this for my readers too.

Let me share something that foreigners might not know about China.
In northern China, especially in winter, many people go to public bathhouses to take a shower or soak in hot pools. These bathhouses usually have separate areas for males and females, but everyone bathes together in the same large space. It’s common to be completely naked in front of others.
For people from southern China — or even other countries — this might seem strange or uncomfortable, because they’re used to showering privately at home in a modern bathroom.
But in the north, this is not just about cleaning — it’s also part of the social culture. People chat, relax, and even bring their kids. It’s like a small community gathering!

I’d like to watch some TV shows to help me learn more about Australian culture.
Could you please recommend some interesting shows — such as reality shows, game shows, or even children’s programs?
I’m especially interested in shows that are fun and easy to understand.
It would be great if they can also improve my English listening skills while helping me explore the local way of life in Australia.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

My sister is three years younger than me. She was not very fond of studying. When she graduated from middle school, she came to my oldest brother’s home to take care of my brother’s son, my nephew.
Maybe only a few years later, she came to Xinjiang to my aunt's home to help her with her business.
In the 1990s, I helped her go back to my hometown and I started a small business for her.
After maybe two or three years, she applied for a job at a local big mall where she worked for around twenty years.
She got married when she was working in the mall. Her husband was a worker in a local textile mill.
After she retired from that mall, she started a small company to help people apply for their business license.
She has a daughter, who is a civil servant in Hangzhou now.
My sister has two houses. One is in the same city as me, the other is in Hangzhou. She lives between these two houses accordingly.

Vivian will be on vacation from Friday to Monday.
I really admire my superior because she always seems to have more time off than we do.
She works in Australia now, while we, the Chinese team, are still working in China.
There are so many public holidays in Australia!
The next three days are all public holidays in NSW — how amazing is that?
Sometimes I wonder: when will I ever have so many vacations?
Maybe… never! 😅

When I went to New York City last month, I saw a shop called "Wasabi" while walking on the street.
It looked familiar.
Then, I remembered the shop was the same one I've seen in London.
They were selling Japanese food.
My friend and I were missing Japanese food at the time, so we decided to go in.
I saw an interesting onigiri called "Nori Onigiri" that I've never seen in Japan.
I decided to buy it because I was curious about the filling inside.
At the time, I thought the name sounded weird because nori is something wrapped around rice balls.
When I open it I was shocked.
To be continued...

My second elder brother is five years older than me. When I was in middle school, he was also in the same school.
My second elder brother was not very good at schooling, but he liked working. He did much housework.
He was stubborn and didn’t follow my mother well, so he often got hit by my mother.
After he graduated from middle school, he sold baby chicks for a few years. That was the only way for people in my village to earn money by riding a bike around different villages and selling chicks.
In 1982, my father retired (he worked in the local government). According to Chinese policy, one of his children could get a job because of his retirement. Therefore, my second elder brother got a job in the local tobacco company.
The tobacco company in China was a good work - unit. It was in charge of the whole industry. Private companies were not allowed to do tobacco business. So the treatment of employees was very good.
Now, he has two houses: one is in Shanghai and the other is in my home county seat. He lives between these houses in different seasons.
He has only a daughter, my niece. She has a daughter, and her husband is a naval officer. She lives with her daughter in Shanghai most of the time.
My second elder brother also retired. He doesn’t have so many things to do now. He just enjoys his life after retirement.

(got into it怎么说阿)
卡卡西is fun to say though(怎么说?)

Today I want to talk about my adventure. I'm with my wife since 2021 and married in 2024. She's my paradise and represents everything for me. Before her, I was a little gamer boy and now I'm learning Italian, Spanish and want to improve my English. It's all because of my family who lives in every continent.
More since my son. It's for his future that I'm sure to take those efforts.
It's incredible how can a life change and I'm sure now, My family is the most important.
