Un posto bello
In Nottinghamshire c’è un sacco di posti verdi, in particolare il mio piccolo paese Mansfield e come un’isola circondata da un mare verde. Siamo onestamente viziati dall’abbondanza dei posti storici. Nel nord ci sono chilometri dei campi e piccoli boschi che abbracciano la periferia di Mansfield, e sopratutto questo si può anche trovare la foresta di Sherwood, le abbazie di Newstead e Rufford e Hardwick Hall.
Però, oggi vorrei ‘parlare’ di un piccolo sentiero che si chiama semplicemente ‘The Vale’. Essenzialmente, è un minosculo sentiero che segue un breve ruscello in cerchio.
A causa del caldo che abbiamo avuto recentemente, è stato difficilissimo per le mie cagnoline , quindi ‘The Vale’ è stato davvero una salvezza. L’ingresso dista solo dieci minuti e lì si trova una piccolissima chiesa con un paio posti per parcheggiare proprio davanti.
Stasera si stava bene sotto i rami degli alberi e faceva abbastanza fresco per i cani. Abbiamo passato circa un mezz’ora lì camminando lentamente sebbene i cani stavano giocando nel ruscello. Una serata davvero bellissima.

Am I Daydreaming?
Three weeks ago, all the students at my university gathered in the hall of the campus. They whispered to each other that they saw a beautiful new transfer student joining the art major in our university. Her name is Alana. That girl looked really kind, humble, and polite. Her blue eyes were so pretty and her smile was alluring. She was the kind of person that would be adored by everybody who noticed her. I thought I had seen her face before, but I didn't know where. Her face looked very familiar to me, but maybe it was just my imagination. I had better not think of strange thoughts right now. I ought to be more rational about judging someone. But I didn't mean to judge her in a bad way.
After a two-hour class session, all the students walked out of the classroom. Some students went to the cafeteria, others disappeared into the campus library, while the rest of them chose to eat in their dorm rooms. I didn't have enough time to head to my dorm, so I just walked to the library to read some books. It was so relaxing that I could sit and spend my time alone in my favorite place, in this secluded comfortable corner of the library without hearing about such annoying gossip that was always spread by my classmates. If I had known that this library would become my daily escape, I would have started coming here from the first semester.
I must be serious about my responsibilities, instead of staying in my comfort zone. I have to be more open to meeting new people. While reading a book, I wondered if I could be someone else. I hoped I could talk with that new transfer student, Alana, because she was really outgoing and not afraid to take a chance meeting new people. I wished I were like her. Alana reminded me of my best friend I used to have named Luna. She had the same vibes as Alana. My best friend always encouraged me in the past, told me that I could do anything I wanted by myself. And right now, I was used to being alone after she left. She really disappeared without a single text after she moved with her father somewhere else six years ago. I missed her so much. I would like to forget about her but I couldn't.
I was lost in thought, remembering the memories about my best friend, but all of the sudden, Alana, suddenly stood beside me. Her face looked paler than usual, she stared at me with a blank expression that made my heart race. “What’s wrong with her?” I asked myself. The more I saw her pale face, the more I felt afraid of her. When I tried to move my lips to speak to her, a strange hoarse voice of hers filled my ears, “You missed Luna? Wanna play with me? I promise I will take you there… hihihi…” She said that while smiling wildly, chuckling at me. I was afraid when I heard her voice and saw her expression so I suddenly yelled at her and woke up. I realized that I had just been dreaming. I overslept in this campus library until six in the evening. It happened because I was so caught up in daydreaming that I ended up feeling tired and overslept. I need to be more focused so that I won't get lost in daydreaming again.
“God, why did I dream of Alana with her pale face and scary expression? It was crazy!” I was so nervous and worried because I was alone here in the library. I was not used to staying in the library until this hour. I looked around at the bookshelf, the atmosphere was really dark and empty. Everyone must be already gone, because of this situation, I hurriedly packed my stuff and got ready to leave. While I was putting my things into my bag, I accidentally knocked my pencil case, and it fell to the floor under the library table. While I was holding my phone to turn on the flashlight, I knelt down and was about to pick up my pencil case. But then, I felt a sudden jolt when I touched something strange under the table. Instead of my pencil case, I saw a long, pale hand with long nails covered in blood. I stumbled backward because I was terrified. I pointed my phone flashlight again under the table to see it clearly, thinking that I might be hallucinating.
At that moment, the same hoarse creepy voice I heard in my dream came out of nowhere, followed by a soft touch on my shoulder. It made me feel goosebumps. “Hihihi… I told you not to daydream!” I looked at the source of that creepy voice and I almost fainted when I realized it was Alana. Something about her was completely different. She was not the same as the girl I used to know. She smiled at me in a disturbing way while she was pointing at me. She started laughing in a creepy way, then I let out a loud scream and said, “Go away. Don't you dare come near me!” But she was just mumbling something unusual while walking towards me, smiling wildly. My tears were streaming down my face in this terrible situation. I couldn't help but realize that I was trapped between dreams and reality.

A General Meeting Of Shareholders
Yesterday, a general meeting of shareholders was held by OLC Co., Ltd., which operates Tokyo Disney Resort.
I'm a shareholder, but I didn't attend and only read the minutes.
I was disappointed that a shareholder suggested resuming the sale of annual passes.
Considering profitability, TDR shouldn't sell annual passes again.
Moreover, some fanatical fans who used to hold annual passes had poor manners at Tokyo Disney Resort. This was one of the reasons why TDR stopped selling annual passes.

Describe your professional experiences and responsibilities
In my last position, I worked as a Backend Developer, my main responsibilities where understanding the project requirements, discussing possible solutions and delivering clean, realible and maintainable code.
I helped my company discover new tools that improved your development time for basic features, such a login authentication, admin management forms and the implemetation of continuous delivery for the environment deployment.
For some time, I was assigned to support a specific client in identifing and resolving productions issues. Frequenly, I participated in calls with the client's team to define new demands, present and explain deployed features and document possible bugs.
After years of experience, I took on new responsibilities, such as helping and mentoring co-workers that struggled with project or cloud-releated problems, creating and managing cloud infraestructure and generating reports about applications performance, including leads convertion, orders completion and revenue.
I also collaborated in studying and identifying scenarios where we could use IA to improve your development flow.

В моей жизни я жил в разных городах и деревнях. Я родился в маленьком городке в восточной части Нидерландов. Мы несколько раз переезжали. Когда мне было двенадцать лет, мы переехали в город, в котором я вырос. Я встретил друзей, которые до сих пор остаются моими друзями. Я там закончил школу и нашёл свою первую работу. Galvano
Galvano (“Gawain” in inglese, “Gauvain” in francese, “Gwalchmei” en gallese) è un cavaliere della Tavola Rotonda e un amico del re Artù. Viene considerato come il migliore cavaliere del mondo. È un uomo giusto, leale e molto cortese, che rappresenta il cavaliere modello. La Dama del Lago le regalò una spada chiamata “Galatine”, il cui potere ha la particolarità di dipendere dal sole. Perciò, al mezzogiorno, quando il sole è allo zenit, Galvano è all’apice della propria pontenza ; poi questa potenza dicresce progressivamente fine al crepuscolo.
È possibile che il personaggio di Galvano fosse inspirato da Sansone nella Bibbia, il nome di cui significa anche «sole». La forza di Sansone proviene dai cappelli. Di modo generale, Galvano sembra collegato a tutti i personaggi solari che si incontrano in numerose mitologie.

Samurai Blue Against Brazil on Tuesday
When I used to work in Germany, I joined my company’s soccer club, and from time to time we played friendly matches against our client companies. I usually played as a side back. I was a clumsy player who had only trained a little in my high‑school PE curriculum, so the defender position looked easier for me — but in reality, marking an opponent’s forward was absolutely terrifying. Most of our opponents were Japanese manufacturing companies whose teams were made up of factory workers who had played soccer passionately since childhood, just like many German workers. I’m over 180 cm tall but thin. They were also over 180 cm — but with the solid, rock‑built bodies of local players. Imagine those guys sprinting furiously toward our goal… or toward me.
When they started their run from the halfway line, I already felt a chill down my spine. If I had tried to stand my ground properly, I could easily have broken a leg or some other part of my body. So I often chose the peaceful option: let them go.
Because of those experiences in Germany, I have deep respect for Samurai Japan’s defenders — especially Tomiyasu, Itakura, and goalkeeper Suzuki. The defender is the position where perfection is always expected, and even when they perform outstandingly, they rarely receive the same admiration or heroic praise as forwards. That’s why I can’t wait to see how they stand up to the attacks of Neymar and Vinícius in the upcoming match against Brazil in the knockout stage. Watching top‑class defenders face world‑class attackers is one of the greatest dramas in football.

Tuoni e fulmini. Mia moglie è andata in macchina a Nagano per riportare a casa nostra figlia. Anche i miei suoceri sono andati con lei per visitare il tempio di Zenkoji. Ero un po' preoccupato, ma sono tornati tutti in sicurezza alle tre.

La settimana di "Golden Week" -- la festiva nazionale in Giappone -- inizia oggi. Ho pulito la mia aula (sono un insegnante privato e lavoro a casa). Ho buttato via un sacco di carta e dei vecchi libri e dei giocattoli rotti. Poi, io e mia moglie abbiamo riorganizzato i mobili per creare più spazio nell'aula. Il lavoro è stato duro ma mi sento rinfrescato.

Ho conosciuto la Coppa del Mondo per la prima volta quando viaggiavo in Medio Oriente nel 1990.
In Giappone, a quel tempo, non era ancora molto conosciuta.
In un caffè al Cairo, gli egiziani guardavano la Coppa del Mondo fumando il loro caratteristico tabacco egiziano.
Anche in Israele, il personale dell’hotel guardava con entusiasmo la partita contro l’Italia.

Mi tiempo libre
Yo tengo dos trabajos (y estoy en escuela también) así que no tengo mucho tiempo libre. Cuando tengo algo, me gustan cocinar, escuchar audiolibros, practicar español, y llamar mi familia. No es un pasatiempo, pero me encanta mi segundo trabajo. Soy bartender en un bar de cocteles muy famoso en mi ciudad. Es un trabajo muy difícil, pero es muy creativo y gratificante.

Midnight Snack
Around midnight, I was already tucked into bed but hunger pulled me up. I didn't wanna staring at the ceiling for hours.
In the fridge, I found some marinated beef slices and two zongzi (sticky rice dumplings). I heated them up in my steamer.
I really love my steamer, which is always a convenient gadget when I want a quick snack. With this, I can even make it without washing pots and pans.
Cooking from scratch can be such a chore. As you might guess, I'm a big fan of supermarket fast food, though I have to admit it's never as good as a freshly cooked meal. When I have energy, I often cook seafood -- fish and shrimp are my absolute favorites. For shrimp, I always just boil them up. Even prepared simply, their natural sweetness is such a treat.

The Story of Guobin
I'd like to introduce to you a fascinating Chinese boy.
His name is Guobin.
In August 2013, when he was six years old, he had his eyes removed by a stranger, and thus became blind.
In September 2014, he entered a special education school for the blind to learn Braille.
Thirteen years later, he took the college entrance examination for the disabled and was admitted to a university.
He became a college student and is currently studying computer science.
Computer programming is inseparable from English.
He is learning English words.
I think his listening skills are excellent because he can't see anything.
How does he learn English?
He relies entirely on listening, entirely on touching, and entirely on speaking over and over again.
What terrible childhood experiences, and what remarkable struggles to grow!
I sincerely admire this boy from the bottom of my heart.

Recently, Europeans have been complaining about the 40 to 44 degree Celsius temperature.
This is much hotter than the average year, so the number of people buying air conditioners has been increasing.
In France, there are many houses that aren't equipped with air conditioners, so you can tell how bad the situation is.

Confianza al hablar español en situaciones reales

Ahora, estoy pensando cómo ganar más confianza al hablar español. Cuando hablo español con hablantes nativos, me pongo muy nerviosa porque no sé cómo responder a sus preguntas. Por ejemplo, una mujer me preguntó cómo puede ir a Brooklyn, NY. Desafortunadamente, no sabía las direcciones, así que respondí: “No tengo idea.”
En este momento, estoy utilizando Superfluent para practicar el español en varias situaciones, como pedir a un restaurante español o hablar con un amigo. Una vez, estuve muy nerviosa cuando tuve que pedir comida en un restaurante puertorriqueño en Brooklyn, NY, porque no sabía la palabra “beans” en español. Aunque pedí en español, me sentí un poco tonta. Por eso, practico español con Superfluent todos los días.

La bataille de Lauffen
Lauffen am Neckar, la ville où je suis allé à l’école, était le lieu de une bataille importante qui est peu connu. En quinze-cent-dix-neuf la ligue de Souabe expulsait le duc Ulrich de Württemberg, après de Ulrich avait essayé de conquérir la ville d’Empire Reutlingen. Par conséquence, la Maison de Habsburg essayait de exploiter le vide de pouvoir pour obtenir la duché de Württemberg.
Ulrich réussissait à trouver aide pour la reconquête de son pays du comte de Hesse. En échange il a converti au protestantisme. Le treize mai quinze-cent-trente-quatre les armées du Autriche et de la Hesse s’affrontaient dans la vallée du Neckar. La armée de la Hesse a triomphé, donc Ulrich a réussie à retrouver son titre ducal. Il introduisait la Réforme en Württemberg pourquoi le pays est majoritairement protestant à ce jour.
