El sueño pequeño que acabo de tener anoche.
Por desgracia, no tuve un sueño muy interesante y no duró por mucho tiempo. Vi algunos edificio hechos de ladrillos. El de ellos se parecía uno de los edificios en la escuela primaria. Había una calle negra al lado de él. No me acuerdo si tenía unas puertas, pero tenía por lo menos unas ventanas (las cuales no eran abiertas). Los ladrillos eran hechos de arcilla roja-marrón. Los ladrillos se parecen los ladrillos de Minecraft, pero no eran pixelados.
Y, eso es todo. Si mi sueño hubiera durado por más tiempo y fuera más interesante, os habría contado más. Sin embargo, siempre trato de ser honesto con mis sueños, y no quiero fingir ni mentir nada de lo que sucede en mis sueños. Espero que tenga un mejor sueño esta noche. Quiero tener un sueño lucido otra vez, pero con más control en lo cual puedo volar, y hacer lo que quiera. También quiero tener más sueños en los idiomas en los que estudio. En vez en cuando tengo sueños en los que alguien me dijo unas pocas oraciones en español, pero jamás había charlado en una conversación en un sueño, ni siquiera en mi idioma natal (el que es inglés).
Tendré un sueño lucido esta vez, creo.

Les Francs-juges
Sainte-Vehme était une société secrete qui s’réunit en Westphalie, Allemagne, au milieu du treizième siècle. À cette époque, le pays était dans une anarchie totale et la sécurité publique était tellement menacée que la société servait d’autorité judiciaire au lieu du gouvernement et au cas où on condamnait à mort, elle exécutait le condamné elle-même. C’était une grande frayeur pour le peuple.
Dans ses premières années comme compositeur, Berlioz projetait un opéra « Francs-juges » inspiré de ce fait historique, dont le livret fut rédigé par un de ses amis. Cette entreprise fut mort-née et il n’en subsiste jusqu’à nos jours que l’ouverture.

How Taiwanese Culture Views Novels
When I was in middle and high school, I was drawn to literature and dedicated all of my free time to reading novels and writing stories. In the Taiwanese education system, Chinese is the only subject that incorporates literature before university. However, I detested all the articles and stories in my Chinese textbooks because they were dull and saturated with pedantic traditional Chinese philosophical beliefs, particularly those associated with Confucianism. I studied them only to prepare for my university entrance exam. Since textbooks could not satisfy my intellectual thirst, I chose my own reading materials, which were mostly Western literature. Although I was an avid reader and had a voracious appetite for learning, I was frequently mocked as a "slacker" by my classmates.
This may be inconceivable for people from Western countries, but Taiwanese people tend to associate academic life narrowly and exclusively with subjects selected by the official syllabus or national curriculum. Any reading material outside of the prescribed textbooks or having nothing to do with the university entrance exam is deemed to have no educational value. Many Taiwanese educators and parents consider reading novels as a non-academic activity and a hindrance to academic development rather than a route to it. My teachers and parents always told me off or insulted me whenever they caught me reading novels. They attributed my indifference and aversion toward my schoolwork to intellectual laziness and irresponsibility. While I was indeed hostile toward my studies, it was not because I was lazy or anti-intellectual, but rather because I believed there were other intellectual pursuits more valuable than the traditional subjects taught in school that were worthy of my attention.
I think the Taiwanese education system seriously underrates the intellectual and scholarly importance of literature. Reading novels is not escapist entertainment. Through analyzing various literary pieces, creating fictional stories, and learning worldbuilding within storytelling, I improved my literacy skills, absorbed different insights and perspectives, and enriched my thought and expression.

How to remember important things?
There are so many things that need to be remembered in my life. As age, I have to face the truth that my memory is not as sharp as it was when I was younger. For example, I am preparing for a road driving test. The driving instructor suggests that I remember at a specific intersection, where the green light can only let the first two vehicles pass. In order to not to confused with other locations, I've found a simple way to assist in remembering it by looking at the Seven-Eleven store beside the sidewalk. the big sign of Eleven was grouped by two one, so one plus one equals two. Therefore, at this location, only two vehicles are capable of passing it.

BBQ Restaurant
As my daughter graduated from university, she, my wife, and I went to a yakiniku restaurant to celebrate her graduation.
Japanese yakiniku restaurant (焼肉店) is translated as a "BBQ restaurant," "barbecue restaurant," or "Korean barbeque restaurant" in English.
However, when I hear a BBQ restaurant, I would think of a BBQ restaurant outdoor.
Therefore, in order to describe 焼肉店, I think a "Japanese indoor BBQ restaurant" might be better.

Der Bahnhof in Mailand
Eines Tages war ich am Bahnhof in Mailand. Die Informationtafeln waren überall. Die Anzahl der Schienen war jedoch nirgends angegeben. Das ist ein großer Bahnhof. Es gibt 25 Schienen. Ich habe nicht zu wissen, wo ich auf meinem Zug warten sollte. Mein Zug ist so ohne mich angefahren.
Ich habe nicht zu wissen, dass die Anzahl der Schienen ausschließlich auf der Informationtafel vor den Zügen selbst zu sehen sind.

Công việc của mình
Mình đã tốt nghiệp đại học gần ba năm trước. Sau khi mình hoàn thành đại học, mình ôn thi GMAT rồi bắt đầu làm việc. Công việc của mình là tư vấn. Mình thích công việc này bởi vì mình có thể du lịch và rất nhiều học. Nhưng mà, đôi khi mình phải làm trong nhiều hơn mười tiếng mỗi ngày. Khi mình rất bận với công việc, mình cảm thấy căng thẳng và không có nhiều thời gian để vui chơi. Mình vẫn có công việc này vì mình thích lương của mình quá nhiều! Mình cũng thường làm việc ở nhà. Cho nên mình không muốn tìm công việc khác.

A Chinese Restaurant (56)
There's a Chinese restaurant just opened six months ago in my town.
I went there two times.
The food was good and I liked it.
However, I'm curious that how long the restaurant lasts.
For some reason, if a restaurant opens at the place, every time it closes within a year.
Before the Chinese restaurant, there was a ramen shop, but it closed soon, so I didn't get to go.
My friend told me that the place might be cursed.
I hope it's not.
If the Chinese restaurant closed, I would write about it here again.

Hablando Con Ballenas
Los humanos están tratando de hablar con cachalotes (un tipo de ballena) en su propio idioma. Tienen un idioma complejo llamado Codas que está hecha de melodías y clics. Los científicos están poniendo grabados de estos sonidos en una sistema como chatGPT para que puedan traducirlos. Aparentemente, va a ser difícil o quizás imposible de tomar la lengua de los sonidos pero si podemos traducirlo, sería la primera vez que hemos hablado con otra especie en su idioma. pero hay una dilema moral en hablando con ellos? ¿Qué deberíamos decir? Hablar con ellos interrumpirá su cultura? ¿Sus pensamientos de su mundo? Y si nos preguntaran ayuda? Por ejemplo, si nos piden que quitemos todos los barcos del océano porque están lastimándolos? ¡No podemos hacerlo! Y qué sucedería si interpretamos su idioma incorrectamente y les decimos algo malo? Por ejemplo -su reina está mala, matala ahora-? O les decimos que la vida arriba del agua es muy buena y las ballenas empiezan a varar ellos mismos?
¿Qué piensas de eso? ¿Qué les dirías? Yo simplemente los escucharé y usaré la información para ayudarlos si puedo. Creo que no podemos comprender la simplicidad o hasta la magnitud de sus mentes o sus vidas o su cultura y no somos capaces de usar su idioma de una manera segura y ética. Sus vidas son tan diferentes a las de nosotros. Sus cerebros son los más grandes del todo el mundo y viajan a lugares tan profundos del océano que no podemos viajar o comprender y aquí tenemos, pensando que podemos hablar con ellos y estaría bien? Los humanos son peligrosos en pensamientos así.

Hola a todos. Espero que les vaya bien. Trabajé dos veces esta semana. El trabajo me parece es muy emocionante. Hay muchas habilidades que tengo que aprender. Mis compañeros han sido muy amables y acogedores. Aunque hay partes de mi trabajo las que me hacen sentir muy triste. Muchas de las residentes del asilo son contentos, no obstante hay algunas que están sufriendo debido a los efectos del envejecimiento.
Por ejemplo una anciana que conocí durante mi segundo turno estaba en la desesperación. Dijo muchas cosas tristes, no obstante el comentario que fue lo más triste era que ella ya no siente cómo su cuerpo es suya. También hizo comentario que el estado actual de su vida no es nada como la vida debe ser, porque ella ha perdido mucha de su independencia debido a la degradación de la función de su cuerpo.
Este trabajo es a veces muy triste, pero a la misma vez es gratificante. Sé que estoy marcando una diferencia positiva en sus vidas, y esto vale la pena.

With the Context in Mind
One of the terrible things we can do when correcting a learner's writing is not to pay attention to the context and change the intended meaning. On the other hand, a leaner's sentence might be grammatically correct but does not make sense in the context. Correcting unnecessarily or dismissing mistakes would result in someone learning incorrectly.
When being corrected, we can add the text in our native languages.
When correcting, we can use a free translator on the Net, if needed.

Ο Μινώταυρος
Ο Μινώταυρος είναι ένα από τα τέρατα της ελληνικής μυθολογίας.
Γεννήθηκε ανάμεσα στη γυναίκα του βασιλιά Μίνωα και τον ταύρο.
Είχε ένα πάνω μισό ανθρώπινο σώμα με κεφάλι ταύρου και ένα κάτω μισό σώμα ταύρου.
Φυλακίστηκε σε έναν λαβύρινθο από τον πατέρα του, τον βασιλιά, ο οποίος του έδωσε ως θήραμα τους άνδρες και τις γυναίκες της Αθήνας.
Οι εικόνες του είναι άγριες και τρομερές.
Επιτέλους, σκοτώθηκε από τον Θησέα, τον οποίο η Αριάδνη, η κόρη του Μίνωα, βοήθησε να ξεφύγει από τον λαβύρινθο με την ιδέα της να χρησιμοποιήσει μια κλωστή.
άρα είναι πράγματι ο Μινώταυρος ένα κακό τέρας;
Χρειαζόταν να φάει ανθρώπους για να ζήσει.
Νομίζω ότι ο πραγματικά τρομακτικός τύπος είναι ο πατέρας του, ο βασιλιάς Μίνωα.
Νιώσω ακόμα και λύπη για αυτόν.

Paul Gauguin et Polynésie français
Hier, j'ai visité un musée dédé à Paul Gauguin en Polynésie français. Je n'avais jamais entendu parler de Gauguin, sauf que il était peintre français qui a habité ici. Pendant que j'ai erré dans les couloirs et regardais les tableaux, je pensais que je n'ai pas aimé beaucoup son travail. Il n'était pas à mon goût. Peut-être, il était juste un amateur, je pensais. Mais, il voulait être un peintre vrai, et c'est admirable.
Pendant je regardais un tableau, mon mari m'a approché et m'a demandé <<Qui a fait ces tableaus, tu pense ?>> J'ai repondu <<Gaugin, bien sûr.>> Il a rit et a dit, <<Mais, non, Ceux-ci sont des copies. Les vrais sont dans les musées autour le monde, comme le Louvre.>> Je ne l'ai pas cru ! Mais quand j'ai cherché sur mon portable, c'était vrai ! Les tableaus vrai de Gauguin était si different. Entre les tableaus sur mon portable et ceux devant moi, les formes étaient la même, les contours étaient exactement la même, les coulours étaient presque la même, mais ceux devant moi leur manquait quelque chose.
Les tableaux vrai de Gauguin était une âme, une profondeur, une complexité. Les coups de pinceau à eux seuls étaient une œuvre d'art. J'ai tombé dans l'amour avec ces tableaux, et j'ai realisé pourquoi Gauguin est célèbre. Alors que nous regarions les deux tableaux, mon mari dit <<C'est la difference entre un peintre et un maître.>>
