크리스마스가 정말 온 건가?
오늘은 12월 24일, 크리스마스 이브. 그런데 크리스마스가 또 왔다는 실감이 잘 안 나는 것 같다.
내가 어렸을 때 크리스마스는 너무나 즐거운 명절이었다. 외할머니와 외할아버지와 같이 농장에 가서 집에 들어갈 소나무를 찾고 산 뒤, 그 나무를 집 안에 놓고 예쁘게 꾸몄다. 캐롤을 들으면서 외할머니와 함께 크리스마스 쿠키를 만들었고, 어떨 때 친척의 집에 가서 큰 크리스마스 파티도 했다. 크리스마스 양말을 벽난로에 걸도 24일에 잠 자기 전에 산타 할아버지를 위해서 쿠키와 우유를 준비해 주었다. 크리스마스 때의 마법은 우리를 다 행복하게 만들어 주었다.
올해 그런 마법이 없어진 것 같다. 한국의 크리스마스는 미국과 너무 달라서 나의 상황은 어쩔 수 없는데 미국에 사는 가족들도 크리스마스의 마법을 느끼지 못하고 있다. 우리 외할아버지께서 11월 초에 갑자기 돌아가셔서 크리스마스를 원래 많이 즐기시는 외할머니는 올해 아무것도 하기 싫어하신다. 쿠키를 조금 구웠고 증조할머니께서 내가 태어나기 전에 만드신 도자기 크리스마스 트리를 꺼냈는데 내가 알기로는 올해 캐롤도 안 듣고 집을 꾸미지 않고 계신다. 그리고 오늘 아침 우리 부모님과 영상통화를 했는데 부모님도 크리스마스트리를 꾸미지 않았다. 엄마께서 기관지염에 걸리셔서 집을 꾸밀 마음과 힘이 없는 것 같다.
나는 다이소에서 자근 크리스마스트리를 샀고 오늘 외할머니께서 가르치신 대로 쿠키 반죽을 준비했다. 내일 친구 2명이 우리 집에 와서 작은 파티를 할 계획이다. 크리스마스의 마법이 없더라도 시간을 최대한 즐겁게 보내려고 한다.

Recess: Episode Summary
Mon amie Koko paie pour une abonnement a Disney Plus pour tout ses amis à utiliser. Au début je n'etais pas interessé par les series offrent par l'application. Cependant, j'ai decidé de regarder a la section qui a contenu tout les series ancien crée par Disney. Je les regardais quand j'etais jeune, mais les premises etaient un peu trop compliqué pour moi au temps.
Maintenant, je vais vous parler d'une episode de Recess qui j'ai recemment vu. Il y était le professeur, une femme tres vielle et mechante, qui a detesté tout les enfants au primaire. Je sais que c'est just un series, mais si elle n'aime pas les enfants, elle aurait du changer sa profession. Cependant, elle etait en amoureuse avec le concierge de l'ecole. Tout les enfants remarqaient qu'elle etait geniale seulement lorsque il etait present. Les protagonistes ont verouillé le concierge et le professeur dans "la salle ou on mange" pour avoir une récréation sans limites! La manque de surveillance a crée une récréation irresponsable et dangereux. Les enfants plus agées utilisaient tout les jeux et ils ont refusé de partager. Le professeur est retourné a ses facons ancien quand elle avait vu l'etat de la cour de récreation. Enfin, la paix etait retabli pour tout les enfants de l'ecole.

Hello, I am Nick, a 37 years old Chinese guy try to write
Yesterday I posted my first practice writing on Reddit. When I logged on again in the afternoon, it made me surprise that i received some feedbacks not
only encourages but also patient corrections. Thank you all guys making me warm here. I replied all the comments under my post and corrected my post in a right way to save for record.
Today my topic is English Learning. I have learned English for more than 20 years from I was a middle school student, but actually my English is not well with the time pass. There were many reasons I thought, no English speaking environment in China, no time to reading more English books, no money to join some English courses etc. it seems that I always wasted of my time to think why but no change for me without any action.
Ironically, English is become more and more important in my career development. English working files and presentations are both i need to prepare with accurate English wording and grammar to fulfill. My boss usually showed me the pressure to pick it up as multinational company requirement. Am I too old to learn? I usually wonder how to improve my English with qualitative changes.
Some paragraphs told me that practice was very important for language learning. Today I woke up early and read a book call “New Concept English” which is famous in China and spoke loudly in my balcony. Luckily it is warm in my city for getting up as it is located in south of my country.

Parler de mon weekend
Hier soir, la tante de ma mère a décidé de nous emmener au restaurant ( moi et mes parents). Nous avons mangé de la viande fumée avec des frites ... C'était un plat délicieux. J'ai énormement aimé l'endroit qui était ensoleillé et entouré d'espace vertes. Après ça, nous sommes allés à la marine où les gens bouffent des poissons. Mais nous, nous voulons juste changer l'emplacement et prendre des souvenirs inoubliables. Nous avons passé un bon moment ... Ensuite, comme nous étions à peu près de ma tante, nous avons décidé d'y aller la rendre visite pour la féliciter parcequ'elle a acheté une nouvelle appartement. À l'arrivé, elle était impatiente à nous voir. Nous avons passé quelque minutes avec elle puis nous avons pris la route. Finalement, nous sommes rentrés chez nous. C'était un weekend très agréable.

Countable and uncountable nouns
Following "articles", "countable and uncountable nouns" is the second toughest part for me, probably for most Japanese English learners, too.
For example, fruit is an uncountable noun. We usually say like "fruit contains a lot of vitamins".
However, when native English speakers are referring to an array of fruits thinking about bananas, oranges, pineapples, and others, they use "fruits", instead of fruit.
How difficult that is!

Un jour pour rester chez nous
Aujourd'hui mon copain et moi n'ai rien fait. Il y a un film que mon copain veut voir. Donc, nous avons décidé à aller au cinéma pour le voir. Mais en fin, nous avons passé presque toute la journée chez nous en faisant rien d'importance. J'ai étudié des langues étrangères comme toujours, et j'ai dessiné les petits cartons. Mon copain a vu beaucoup de vidéos sur son portable, et il a beaucoup dormi. Après que le soleil s'est couché, nous avons sorti enfin de notre appartement pour se promener un peu. Nous sommes allés à la papeterie, où j'ai acheté plusieurs stylos. Ensuite, nous sommes allés à l'épicerie, et après ça, nous avons rentré chez nous. Nous n'avons pas fait beaucoup, mais aujourd'hui était un jour très reposant!

Star Wars Episode 9
Please rest assured this message has no spoiler.
I'm a big fan of Star Wars. Episode 9 which I had been looking forward to finally was released and I went to see it yesterday. I was impressed as it was much better than I expected.
But on the internet, especially in America, the reviews are pretty bad.
There're novels of Star Wars. It seems the story of the movie is quite different from that of the novel. This is not only reason for a bad reputation though.
I'm now reading a book of Episode 4 but am still halfway through as the book is in English.
I think Episode 8 was really awful so I was concerned about how J.J. Abrams as the director would put the stories together in Episode 9. I think he did very well.
I reckon there're no useless scenes and the story develops quickly, and above all, the actress starring Ray, a main character, expresses her emotion very skillfully, which makes this movie much better.
There're pros and cons for the reviews, but I believe the story of Episode 7 to 9 perfectly pairs up with that of Episode 4 to 6, therefore, this movie has been finished off wonderfully.

The day my good friend received his ascension.
I have a tremendous friend which always do works more than the mile he has to. He has a creed who he never breaks, and that is that he is the one first to get to the offices and every times, he is the last one to depart. In regarding his ethics of work, there is never doubting he is considering others’ peoples-needs and he encounters the extra times to provide all the people with the help they could need. Togethering with this, he has constructed a reputation people are recognizing in all the places he is it always happens all the other workers wish to make friendship relations with him, so it is not strange to find him and the others at the pub on Friday in the night at the other side of the street in party, because that is how he be. I have the belief that he learns to be like this when he is a child, and he never stops to perform in this accord.
The chief of the office notices this for a long time, and confided to me and others two workers of the cubicles that my good friend is ascending, and then asks us what we think about the ideas. We have no hesitations, only certainties about these matters. So, we tell him that he merits too be ascended, because he is leader of the pack, and he could to perform like the lion alpha of the office. No other person can to be respected by the cubiclers, because no one more is winning the respect necessitated for such honor, and in the final, he affirms he knows he makes well if he gives him the ascension he thinks he wants to bestow onto him.
The day of the revelation, the people of the office, the peoples of the security, the friends of my good friend, the wife of the chief, and the wife and the family of my good friend reunited in the center of the floor and announced to all the public that this man, which is been working in this office for 3 years with resignation and abnegation, is ascending to higher levels of authority and compromise, and he is now receiving the ascension to branch risk manager. She pushes the chest down with her two hands, and opens the mouth, and then his mouth, when a person unbeknownst to all persons there screams that this situation is temporary, but needs no resuscitation because he is clearly having breath, so he screams a request that echoes against all things in the branch: bring Florida water!!!, and a lot to the surprise of all participants in the spectacle this situation is becoming, the cubicler who works to my right runs to his locker and procures the most big bottle of this water I ever seen in the entire time of my life. He hans the stranger the water, he hans it to the resuscitation woman, and she opens the bottle, puts a huge chunk in her hands, motions the hands together, and slaps with gentle hits the face of my good friend who is not returning from his loss of consciousness. Alas, he began to win composure but his tongue is outside of his mouth, and spit is dripping on the sides. She adds more water. He is back.
He is red in the face, his cheeks look like cherrys but he regains the ability to speak, and addressing the peoples he says that he now is understanding too much secrecy we occulted from him, and the he has honor, and that he will live the standard the chief is giving him to help with the mission of the branch, and when the music begins, his wifes begins to dance with him in a manner that is not like dancing, but more like stilts, in the motions of left and right with no rhythmic movements but they look so cute, and all persons in the venue take out phones and recorded in videos, to put on the youtube. Then we all have cheers. We put the glasses of crystal in the air, and give honor in a big welcome to the now ascended manager of the branch, and we all scream hooray, many time at the same time that we pick him from the floor into our hands and shoot him up to the ceiling and catch him, and do that again for many more times.
When we come to work the next Monday, my friend is a loss, our friend is not there anymore. He suffered a transformation in uniform and spirit, and hair and watch, and language and food. The distance he puts between all persons and himself gets bigger and bigger by Tuesday, and by Wednesday he is not taking anymore, and by Thursday we plan the gathering in the pub at the other side of the street as it is usually, and one of us sends an email to him to give him the invitation in the case that he is forgetting by Friday. There is an empty chair at the table in the pub all Fridays ever since.

A middle- aged man(37) Chinese is learning English
Hey, I am Nick, live in Guangzhou now as working in an Multinational company (Headquarter in US) for couples of years. I love my wife and my little boy very much and we stay with each other in a warm apartment in this city.
I need to improve English urgently not only in writing but also in speaking, because I was promoted in a position which need to communicate with division about projects and business update in daily work. But my foundarmental is not as well as I believe.
For the clear objective, today I learned how to use VPN to log in the Reddit and decided to start writing down my daily life in China to share my writing to someone good at English, if you can teach me some skill in English would be more better for me.
Today is day 1, it is the beginning of my project. Hope I can keep it in 100days.

I read an article about Libya's water problem.
According to the article getting safe water is becoming difficult in Libya. This is due to a war between an internationally recognized government and what is called a military government.
Even bottled water is becoming polluted.
This story made my heart ache.

뷔페 2개 방문하기
오늘은 많이 먹는 날이다. 아침에 남자친구와 남자친구의 부모님과 함께 얘식장에 갔다. 우리는 내년 결혼하는데 남자친구의 부모님은 우리가 예약한 예식장을 보고 싶어서 우리는 다 같이 가서 예식장 뷔페 시식을 했다. 남자친구의 어머님은 이런저런 다양한 불평을 많이 하셨는데 우리에게 예식장이 만족스럽다.
이제는 오늘의 2번째 뷔페에 왔다. 남자친구가 다니는 교회는 오늘 크리스마스 파티를 하는데 나를 초대해 주었다. 그래서 우리는 여기에 왔다. 난 보통 뷔페를 많이 좋아하는 편인데 하루에 2번 가는 게 과다한 것 같다. 주변에 맛있는 음식이 이렇게 많은데 배가 불러서 더 먹지는 못하겠다...

Weichnachten
Gestern hat endlich den Weihnachtsurlaub begonnen. Diese zwei oder drei letze Wochen waren bei der Arbeit zu hektisch und heftig. Es gibt viele Projekt und manchmal finde ich nicht genug Zeit, um die einzuarbeiten.
Aber das is kein Problem... zumindest bis nächstes Jahr. Vermutlich verbringe diese Saison mit meiner Frau gemütlich zu Hause.

Suspension Bridge Effect
Have you ever heard about "The Suspension Bridge Effect"?
When people cross a suspension bridge, they tend to mistake a feeling that they
kept themselves in suspense and thrilled for a feeling from romance. As a result, a man and a woman tend to fall in love with each other.
I saw a dream on the other day that I was crossing a suspension bridge. When I was about to get to the other shore, the rope of the bridge broke and I was almost thrown into the abyss.
Then, someone gripped my hand and save me. I looked up and found that was my boss.
I don't know why but I recalled The Suspension Bridge Effect then. I said the boss, "Thank you", shaking off his hand, and then I dived into the abyss. There I woke up.
I think it's emergion that I'd rather be enough strong to speak out "No means no" than I come to like the person I don't like.
I thought after I woke up that I became strong because I chose to dive into the abyss(lol).
