Burns Night and Lunar New Year!
Evening all, I hope you're having a great day! Seeing that it's Burns Night today, I thought it'd be nice to write this entry in English. Hopefully, I'll be able to write one in Scottish Gaelic next year! I just have to work harder! :) Happy Burns Night to all the Scots here! x
Today also marks the start of the Lunar New Year. Happy Lunar New Year to those who celebrate it! 😊 Here in Hong Kong, it's a chance for families to spend quality time together. We usually visit relatives that we don't see very often. Though, the younger generation usually does not enjoy the festivities because they think they're merely exchanging pleasantries with (pretty nosy!) relatives. I partly agree with that. I'm not close to my relatives at all. In fact, we literally see each other once a year. It could be a bit awkward sometimes during the Lunar New Year reunion. However, I still think it's nice to catch up! :)
Traditionally, children get red packets from their parents and relatives. Well, you don't even have to be that young. As long as you're not married, you'll get some red packets!
I'm heading to the family dinner now, but I've made a full Scottish breakfast earlier to celebrate Burns Night! I couldn't get hold of haggis and black pudding, so technically it wasn't a full Scottish, hahah. x I did make a whole batch of potato scones. They're my favourite potato side dish, not even hash browns can top them! If you've ever been to Scotland and tried freshly-made crispy tattie scones, then you know why I love them so much! I usually make around 30 scones at a time and, yes, finish them in less than 15 minutes! I'll also be making cranachan tonight. It's a traditional Scottish dessert which is often eaten after the Burns Supper. I like it a lot, probably because it has whisky and honey in it! Lolx I'll be reading myself a wee bit of Burns' poems tonight! Making Scottish dishes always makes me miss this beautiful country so much! I spent a few months in Aberdeen before but I haven't been back for a few years, I hope I'll be able to make another trip soon! ❤

El corto relato de Matteo #2
Bajó las escaleras maderas a sonido de los susurros de sus padres.
–Tu actitud no le ayuda –dijó su madre.
–¿Qué actitud? –respondió su padre.
–No le dice nada a él hace unas semanas.
–No hay nada para decir. –Matteo llegó al umbral de la puerta cerrada, sentiendo como le faltaba aire. Tomó un momento para calmarse. Controló sus respiraciónes y, aunque todavía sentía los latidos fuertes del corazón, entró la cocina. El desayuno ya estaba preparado y había un plato para cada persona. Su padre había comido una mitad de sus huevos pero su madre todavía no había empezado a comer. Aunque Matteo no comía mucho desde hacía un largo tiempo, sus raciones siempre crecía cada mañana. En su plato había un montón de huevos revueltos encima de dos rebanadas tostadas de pan integral. Su madre, quien fue sentado mirando hacía la puerta, inmediatamente sonrió cuando le vio.
–Hola, Mijo. ¿Cómo estás? –le preguntó con una voz reconfortante.
–Estoy bien. –se sentó al lado de su padre. Su padre no le dijó nada. Lo que su madre había dicho era verdad; su padre no le había dicho nada a él desde hacía venticinco días y no le había mirado desde hacía una semana. Quedaba así ahora. Los pelos al dorso de su cuello se levantaron y se sentía muy incómodo. Recogió el tenedor y el cuchillo y se fijó en el desayuno.

Der Plan für heute
Heute wird ich eine Power-Metal Band sehen, die „Gloryhammer“ heißt. Sie singen fantastische Lieder über Königen, Drachen, mächtige Hämmer und so viel mehr. In der Bühne singen sie in bunten Klamotten und manchmal sogar mit Gerüste.
Aber bevor das Konzert findet statt, ein Paar Freunde haben mich eingeladen, ins Kino zu gehen.
Wir möchten den neuen Film des Regisseurs Taika Waititi ansehen. Der Film heißt nämlich „Jojo Rabbit“.

Injured US Soldiers Increase to 34 from Iranian Missile Strike
The Pentagon’s chief spokesman Jonathan Hoffman told the reporters at the press conference on the 24th that 34 service members in serving in Iraq have suffered injury from the Iranian missile attack earlier this month. All injuries included symptoms of concussions caused by the impact of the attacks. Eight of the 34 were transported to the U.S. Initially, the U.S. government officials announced that there were no casualties from the attack, however, on the 16th, revised the number to eleven.
According to Hoffman, nine members are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Germany, and seventeen have gone back on duty in Iraq. Iran launched ballistic missiles on the 8th on Ain Assad Airbase located in Al Anbar governorate in mid-west of Iraq. On the 24th, the U.S. secretary of defense Mark Esper ordered a more efficient and rapid delivery of information related to casualties of U.S. troops.
At a press conference conducted on the 22nd, President Trump told, “I heard that they had headaches and a couple of other things, but I would say and I can report it is not very serious.”
Based on the report of zero casualties, President Trump held back retaliatory measures against Iran. Intending to prevent further conflict between Iran, President explained that the situation is not serious.

Ersten Schritten
Ich habe niemals auf Deutsch gescreibt, aber sagt man dass ein Tagebuch ein gut Methode ist für einen Sprache zu lernen.
Ich habe heute frei Zeit, und will ich viel Deutsch lernen. Ich benuzte heute WhatsApp mit meinen Freunden in Deutschland und Niederlands, aus Deutsch und aus Latein. Demnächst, beginne ich das Abendessen kochen.

Chinesisches Neujahr!
Morgen beginnt das chinesische Neujahr. Es ist das Jahr der Ratte! Was symbolisiert es? Menschen, die im Jahre der Ratte geboren sind, sind gut geeignet, Führer oder Muziker zu sein. Zusätzlich eine Ratte steht für Fruchtbarkeit, Fortpflanzung und Reichtum, entsprechend der chinesischen Kultur. Sie repräsentieren auch Gemeinheit und Schüchternheit! Welches Tier bist du? Ich bin ein Drache!

Zusammenfassung meiner Fehler, 2. Teil
4. Eintrag. Hier schrieb ich: „Heute spielt eine meine Lieblings band der Welt, Opeth.“. Hier geht es darum, den Genitiv richtig zu benutzen. Also, „einer meiner“ anstatt „eine meine“. Außerdem sollte ich auf die Rechtschreibung des Wortes „Lieblings band“ aufpassen.
Dann habe ich geschrieben: „Ich habe viel Zeit für das Konzert erwartet, und natürlich bin ich sehr aufgeregt darauf.“. Richtig sagt man hier: „lange auf“ statt „viel Zeit für“, wenn man lange auf etwas gewartet hat. Offenbar habe ich auch am Ende „darauf“ falsch benutzen, denn „darauf“ passt einfach nicht am ende des Satzes.
Am Ende schrieb ich dies: „Opeth hat ein neues Album letzten Monat veröffentlicht, heißt „In Cauda Venenum“. Erstens habe ich „letzten Monat“ vertauscht, da vielleicht man vor dem Subjekt die Zeit schreiben sollte?. Darüber hinaus habe ich das Pronomen „es“ nach dem Komma vergessen.
Und das war es für heute. Ich habe gehofft, mehr als einen Eintrag heute zu überprüfen! Na ja, das hat mir Spaß gemacht.

My thoughts and "Yesterday"
Today is a heavenly, calm, and pleasant day. Namely, it's Friday. Consequently, I can rest a lot. I couldn't settle on a reading a book, so I settled on writing this entry. My classmates left school just before me because I was changing I was out of my P.E. uniform to my normal one after P.E. class.
Frankly speaking, absolutely nobody ever brings their uniform for P.E. I have no idea why; maybe they have no interest in the subject ; who knows. I remember that blackout scarcely occurred at home when I was using the computer. Also, I must admit that the class across the hall from m in e is much more active. When I tried to turn my laptop on, it lagged so much that I couldn't even click the mouse. It drove me up the wall, so I turned it off and nearly hit the laptop.
I was hoping to post an entry, but I wasn't able to. Because of that, I meditated for ten minutes.
It helped me release the anger in my mind.
“Yesterday” one song in contemporary musical history that has a great back story.
I thought about how the Beatles' song “Yesterday” was made when I was listening to it.
Coincidentally, I was translating a text about this song from my native language to English.
I found out the song's fascinating backstory : According to McCartney, he wrote a song as he dreamed.
He wondered what it could be, so he played the tune on an upright piano that was nearby him.
He liked the song and could not believe that something so wonderful was totally his.
What's more, it was the first song that ha d been written without the help of other members. McCartney wrote it alone.
Keen to not forget the song, he jotted down some placeholder words for it.
If I remember correctly, they went: “Scrambled eggs, oh, my baby, how I love your legs”.
I also have to mention that “ scrambled eggs” was a joke in the band before the song was fully recorded.
Lennon said, “ The song was around for months and months before we finally completed it. Every time we got together to write songs for a recording session, this one would come up. We almost had it finished. Paul wrote nearly all of it, but we just couldn't find the right title. We called it 'Scrambled Eggs ' and it became a joke between us.”

社会人になるというのは一体どういう意味ですか！？
僕の大学のあるプログラムによって、2，3年生になったら求職活動して6ヶ月ぐらい働かなきゃいけないことになっています。そして、また学校に通い繰り返すことになっています。なぜかというと、卒業するときにもう一年か一年半の経験があるので、仕事を見つけるのは易しくなるからのです。
それで、僕が仕事を見つけて、最近プログラマーとして働いています。コンピュータを専攻しているので、結構楽しいですが、かえって少しつまらないと思います。これを引退するまでしないといけないのを考えると寂しくなります。「どうして8時間以上働かなきゃいけないんだ！」と思い出してしまいます。
仕事は無意味なわけじゃないです。会社の努力によって、他人の生活を楽しくて楽にさせます。ただ、仕事を中心とした人はきっと何かを犠牲しないといけないと思います。僕の場合、それは暇な時間（特に日本語を勉強する時）と家族といる時間のではないでしょうか。これが社会人になるという意味なんですか！？僕にとって「なんか寂しくない？」と考えます。
さて、仕事に行かないと遅刻しますね！

Is It Rude or Not?
I chatted with a man in English last night.
It was for the first time to talk to him.
We texted for about one hour, and this morning he asked me about my job.
I replied that I’m currently not working, and only taking care of my son.
Then, he said “That’s good. Kids should get full care and attention from their parents.”
I felt uncomfortable with his words then.
I always use “child/children” to mention someone’s child/children.
I know he just told a general opinion.
Can it be rude to use “kid” instead of “child”?

Chào mọi người!
Hy vọng các bạn đang có một ngày lễ tết vừa đẹp vừa hành phục!
Mình cũng vừa mới tìm ra cái website này. Chỉ đọc một chút bình luận ở đây thôi mà mình đã muốn đăng ký. Mình rất đanh gia cao mà những công đòng này được tôn tại để giúp học sinh nói ngôn ngữ tốt hơn.
Câu chuyện của mình đã bất đầu khi gặp nhau một người phụ nữ Việt ở đại học khi mình đã học để trở thành một kỹ sư. Chúng mình đã học sinh, và làm việc cùng nhau. Trong thời gian lâu (và nhiều kỳ ừc không những đẹp mà còn vui) mình lấy em ấy như người vợ của mình và những ngày này cuôc sống của chúng mình đã đuọc chưa bao giờ tốt hơn.
Bây giờ, mình đã đọc nhiều quyẻn sách để thử hiểu nhiều hơn và mình muốn phát triển ngôn ngữ của mình nhiều hơn. Có vấn đề khó để tìm thầy cơ hội như cái website này - đăc biết là vì mình sông ở nước ngoài nước Việt. Thường xuyên không có ai ở đây bảo luận bắng tiếng Việt và cũng không có quyển sách nặng cao hơn để đọc.
Giăc mơ ước của mình là có thể nói chuyện tự nhiên với cả nhà cua người vợ mình, và chó phép các con của mình cũng học tiếng Việt. Mình ước các con của mình cũng sẽ có khả năng để chia sẻ văn hoá Việt Nam của họ, và tiếp tục có liên hệ với gia đình Việt.
Xin cảm ơn cho bắt kỳ ai sẽ giúp mình!

Jučer, moj mužev prijatelj mi je pitao slikati njegove mačke. Ima dvije mačke. Jedna mačka se zove "Mavey" i druga se zove "Fred." Obje su zgodne mačke.
Sutra moram ići u umjetničku trgovinu kupiti pribor. Trebam boju, kistove za boju, i platno. Trebat će mi dva tjedna da završim slike. Uzbuđena sam počinjati.

Comida.
A minha lembrança mais afeiçoada da minha infância foi indo ao Wendy´s toda quinta feira com meu avo e minha vo. Eles são bem antigos agora; e sendo assim ja não podemos sair para comer juntos toda semana. Eu sempre vou valorizar estas lembranças; eu desejo que pudesse voltar a estes tempos mas eu sei que o mundo não funciona assim. Mas pensando bem, talvez seja bom que nos deixamos de comer no Wendy´s. Comida daquele tipo não eh exatamente saudável! Eu mantenho uma dieta muito mais saudável hoje em dia. Quase todos os dias eu bebo um batido no pequeno almoço! Eu tento comer vegetais com toda refeição também. Mas parece que eu sai do tópico neh? Enfim, espero que quem le esta publicação tenha uma boa noite (ou dia dependendo da zona de tempo)
