Act yourself into feeling
Have you heard of a fear cycle? If you haven't, I suggest you take a look at a book Failing Forward from John C. Maxwell. It is a captivating reading right from the start. He talks about a conception of failure throughout the book. In the preface he explains that the right attitude about failure is an essential part of an achiever.
In the fourth chapter, he describes the fear cycle. The fear cycle begins with a fear of failure which is usually caused by negative experiences. The fear of failure leads to inaction that is, according to the author, recognized by paralysis, procrastination and purposelessness. Inactivity produces inexperience by not doing anything essential to our success. The lack of experience promotes inability to act which again induces fear of failure.
To break the fear cycle, you need to take action. He also includes a quote by Jerome Bruner saying: "You're more likely to act yourself into feeling than feel yourself into action." What Bruner meant by this is one shouldn't wait for motivation, but rather act first. Then the motivation comes.
Please, include your overall impression of the text and don't be afraid to point out that something doesn't feel right or could be said differently despite it being correct.

Ich heiße Alexandre und ich bin sweiunddreißig jahre alt. Ich bin ein Forscher. Ich komme aus Frankreich. Frankreich ist im Nordwesten von Europa. In Frankreich spricht man Französisch. Frankreich hat sechs Nachbarländer. Im Norden liegt Belgien. Dort spricht man Französisch und Niederländisch. Südlich von Belgien liegt Luxemburg. Speaking
When I talked with Maggie one day, I asked her, "I wonder If my speaking skills could match with one year old native child?", she said no. Is my speaking skill lower than a one years old native child ? She said that one year old children can just say "papa" or "mom". So I can match with a kid at age two or three? She still say no. May be my speaking skill is at a level of a four or five years old child? She said it was impossible to compare because native children could speak English fluently and quickly…
l also asked her why they started a conversation always with "hi, how was your day?" and it seemed ridiculous. She asked me what do we Chinese do to greet people. I said 你好，最近怎么样？and asked her how to say it in English. She said, "Hi, How was your day"…

Quoi écrire?
Quand j'étais petite, je lisais et écrivais tout les temps. Je lisais presque chaque livre dans la partie de la bibliothèque pour les enfants et ados, à tel point que je pouvais identifier les nouveaux livres sur les étagères quand ils sont arrivés. J'écrivais les petites histoires, inspirées par les films, les livres, ou n'importe quoi. Quelquefois c'était comme le fan fiction! Ca m'apportait du bonheur, le fait de créer des personnages et les événements, de trouver les bon mots et décrire ce que j'ai imaginé. Je voulais être écrivain. Maintenant, comme adulte, je continue à lire beaucoup. Mais par contre, je n'écris jamais, ou presque jamais. Quelque part, j'ai perdu l'imagination, et je ne sais pas comment la retrouver. Le boulot d'un écrivain toujours m'intéresse beaucoup: on fait de la research, travaille tout seul, et crée quelque chose éloquent et significatif (avec espoir). Mais malheureusement, ce futur n'est pas arrivé pour moi--au moins, pas encore. On verra, non?

Niet helemaal dagelijks...
Nou, ik heb mijn doel niet bereikt. Onze vakantie heeft heel bezig zijn, en ik ben elke nacht uitgeput in bed gevallen. Maar, het is goed, wij hebben een leuke tijd. We paardrijdt, in de bergen wandelt, en vandaag vliegvist we voor de eerste tijd . Ik vangt twee vissen! Misschien heb ik een nieuwe hobby...
Morgen is onze laatst dag hier. We zouden een lekkere avondeten eten om te vieren, en daarna, op dinsdag, gaan we terug naar Chicago op de trein. Het is een reis van 17 uur, maar het is beter dan vliegen in een vliegtuig vol coronavirus!
Dan, wanneer ik ben teruggekomen, het zal makkelijker worden om regelmatig te schrijven.

Des cours du français que j'aime
Quand je prends des cours du français, j’aime mieux des cours où je ne parle que avec le prof ou tuteur. Je n’aime pas des cours où le prof m’apprend la langue comme si était une classe formelle. Si je veux apprendre la grammaire ou faire des exercices de la grammaire, je crois que je peux voir des vidéos sur Youtube ou réviser mon manuel. Cependant, je reconnais qu’il y a des étudiants qui ne sont pas très motivé. De plus, peut-être, une classe formel donne plus structure pour certains élèves. J’admis que, parfois, je ne sais pas ce que je dois étudier. Au même temps, j’étudie le francais comme un loisir. Alors, peu importe si mes méthods ne sont pas parfait. Je me consacre à m’améliorer de peu un peu tous le jours.

o mém dni (dnešním, včerejším)
dnešek byl pro mě....nudný. Nedělala jsem moc. v ráně se jsem probudila když bylo 6 hodin a snídala přitom sledovala jsem na svém telefonu "Dračí princ" Netflixem.
V poledni/odpoledni.....zaponměla jsem čestně (i když to bylo dnes). Ale dnes večer sleduji filmy. Říkají se "When Marnie was there" a "Jojo Rabbit". Sleduji Jojo Rabbit právě vlastně. To je dobrý film a dřívější film prostě byl roztomilý. Něco očekávat když to je film z studia Ghibli.
teď o včerejšku.
včera jsem byla v bance, abych tipy položila z práce. Dřívější den jsem připravila tipy. Více než 5 hodin. Potom šla jsem do sousedovych, abych řekla o postarání se jejich koček během víkendu.

Who copes better with quarantine ?
Being stuck at home for long periods of time, without doubt, is hard for any human being. People deal with lack of social life in own their way, and some might make out of the quarantine better than other would.
The person personality is an important aspect that must be accounted for when trying to comprehend how some individuals are able to not have physical contact with other people longer than others.
Armed with this information, we may be prone to claim that introverts certainly would cope better with isolation than outgoing people, but "is that true?". The short answer would yes since introverts usually demand a social life with few friends and are capable of enjoying themselves on their own. In constrast to this, outgoing people feel thrilled when they have a highly social life; they struggle to be alone and get high quality time by themselves.
But humans are too complex to be so predictable, and which one of us, although some having similar temperaments, will react differently to the exact same situation. According to an introvert friend, it is possible to face moments of profound loneliness even for an introvert, she claims that although she has not been longing to talk with many people, she is missing long talks with her pals.
On the other hand, a really outgoing friend of mine has said that he is handling the quarantine better than he had thought. This unique social situation has given him another view of how he can enjoy himself without always relying on others; for instance, he has been brushing up his knowledge on microsoft tools and sharpening his resume.
In conclusion, despite introverts being known for not requiring an intense social life, that does not always comply with an easier time coping with loneliness.

Un poco de té y demasiado calor
Ahora, mi país está atraversando una ola de calor canicular, como el año pasado y certenamente como el año siguiente. A causa del calentamiento climatico, algunos specialistas piensan que ese tipo de ola de calor volvera cado año. A diferencia de España y de la mayoría de los paises americanos, Francia (y el norte de Europa de manera general) no estan acostumbrados a temperaturas de 42-45 durante semanas enteras y a noches donde la temperatura no cae debajo de 20 grados. Solo en el sur, la gente lo está, pero aún en Provence, hay mucho viento (los dos tipos más importantes son el mistral y la tramontane), pues, a menudo el calor no es un tan gran problema con un poco de viento refrescando. Antes en estas regiones, la gente tenía un modo de vida que tenía en cuenta temperaturas tan calientes, pero la economía de mercado y las exigencias de rentabilidad han pasado por esto y aún en Marseille, la gente no tiene ningun problema haciendo trabajar obreros debajo del sol ardiente en el medio de la tarde, en lugar de adaptar sus horarios al tiempo...
Hace un momento, estaba bebiendo mi té (me gusta mucho el té), ¡y estaba sudando como un pollo! Sin embargo, eran las ocho de la noche en la hora solar... Pienso que voy a comprar más té frio. Mi favoritísimo es May Tea. No sé si tenemos el derecho de enunciar marcas comerciales... ¡No soy pagado por May Tea para hacerles publicidad, lo juro!). Pero ese simplemente es delicioso. El clásico Lipton Ice Tea me gustaba cuando era un niño, pero ahora no más. No tiene verdaderamente un sabor de té. De verdad, me parece que es el caso de la mayoría de los tés frios, con la excepción del May Tea. Quizás se expliqué por los edulcorantes. El aspartamo no está particulamente bueno para la salud, y tiene un sabor asqueroso. La stevia me parece ser una alternativa mejor, pero tiene un sabor muy fuerte que tiende a ocultar el sabor natural del té. Cuando bebo té caliente, siempre azucro con miele.
Lo siento, no tiene ninguna mejor inspiración que el té y el calor, pero odio el calor tanto como quiero el té... Ahora, la temperatura se està volviendo más tolerable. ¡Suerte si ustedes también tienen que vivir con un calor desagradable!

climate change effects #2
Growing climate is the cost of human progress, in my opinion. Climate change will be a process of human' progress, and this issue would be worse in the future. In the previous decade, the increasingly poor climate quality had led to irreversible change around the world. For example, glaciers are melting, the ozone layer is thinning and natural resources are declining. The uncontrolled use of free natural resources has, to say the least, become more dangerous than it was when it first started. It is clear that humans feverishly chase benefits without considering the cost. The depletion of limited natural resources and pollution of the ocean seem like signs that humans are causing the earth to fall in an abysmal apocalypse. But on the other hand, human interference with nature could contribute to society and a thriving economy. It had reflected the point of why climate change issues don't be mitigated. Because for some, the price is high, some are not. It is distaste for me to discuss the climate issue with some "environmentalist". In my opinion, issues those topics with the " environmentalists", it likes talking with people, who live in vain as immortal. Some " environmentalists" just like speech about numbers and payback. Be honest, that like a professor, but not people. For some poverty countries, they need to depend on their natural resources to develop the economy and stretch their influence in the world. For some wealthier countries, they had done through a hard time. So that is the reason why most "environmentalists" come from rich countries. They don't need to take the burden to lives. That is a life which never straightforwardly linear, as well as shifting relationships between flawed, fickle human beings are messier still.

The Big Picture
People often loose the big picture. When I say a big picture, I mean our existence in the vast universe. We as a species are programmed by nature to solve tasks at hand. I noticed that I think about topics which somehow come to my mind. But a topic doesn't just come to your mind. It is somehow conveyed. Most often it comes through your eyes. When you're seeing your laptop ahead of you with an opened LangCorrect, you just keep writing the journal. When you're on a walk, see a snake ahead of you, you might wonder, what species it is. If you think about it, eyes can't be your only source of thoughts. Thoughts are interconnected. If you think about one thing, it leads you to another thing and so forth. Eventually, you end up thinking about plenty of stuff, usually quite detailed and irrelevant in comparison to our sheer existence.
Ask yourself, how often your mind goes through those profound thoughts about the universe? Books from Stephen Hawking are good starters for your mind to see the big picture. Who are we in this vast universe? Just a tiny insignificant dot who can temporarily observe the universe to a very limited and subjective extent. Search "Pale Blue Dot" on the internet, it's fascinating.

A Hiking Day
It was a nice Saturday (8/8/2020) with blue skies and radiant sun. My friend and I was determined to go hiking since both of us have been bored and monotonous for a long time. We rarely interact ed our friends and tried not to go outside for unnecessary reasons on account of the horrible pandemic. Therefore, we needed to relax and have fun. We chose hiking as a pastime and our destination was Thousand Islands in Yuen Long.
Since the hiking trail is not difficult, I just brought water, some tissue papers, my bag and the most important one which was the mask. We gathered in Yuen Long center at 11:30 and took bus to the start of the hiking trail. Once I step in the hiking area, I immediately felt that the air became fresher though I was wearing mask and the sun shined on my body though the trees which stand on the sides. At the beginning, I was very amazed by the nature.
However, good time could not last forever. After walking for half an hour, I experienced the power of the sun. Our start time was close to midday which is the hottest time. By the midday, we were really feeling the heat. And the more disturbing thing was that we were wearing masks as we were walking. It did not take a long time that I sweated a lot. fortunately, my friend had brought a umbrella and mini fan which were really helpful for that situation. We walked and talked about some recent news and fads to kill the time.
We just walked and walked. By the time we would climbed to the top of the hill which also known as Reservoir Islands Viewpoint, we were covered in sweat. I thought it was worth spending time and effort on hiking since when I looked at Thousand Island from the peak, it was very impressive and gorgeous. Sadly, I can't put photos I took on this site and I am not able to describe its beauty.

Was machte ich gestern.
Gestern las ich ein Buch, das heißt "The Goblin Emperor". Es ist über einem "goblin", der heißt Maia und ist der letzte Sohne von einem Kaiser. Der Kaiser und alle seinem Kinder sterben in einem Absturz, und ist jetzt Maia der neue Kaiser.
Ich spielte auch "Dragon Age: Origins", und studierte ein wenig Deutsch.

Position
Today I am going to talk about a sensitive topic and I believe everyone are interested in it.
No matter what kind of work unit do you work in, it is definitely a good thing to get a higher work position, but the attitude toward this thing is very different from each person.
First I will give them who have made a great progress in their position promotion a big congratulation.
this is the result of their hard working and a recognition from their leaders.
But If you didn't get a ideal work position yet, please take it easy, don't be upset about it.
No matter what kind of work do you do, what position are you in, that doesn't matter, just do it well, so we can feel peaceful and solid.
If you are kind of interested in position, just struggle for it, and If you weren't, just be yourself, that is such simple thing.
I am very satisfied with my position, though it is not promoted for over twenty years.
Many of my fomer colleagues work hard, and also have comprehensive ability as well as a high level, but they haven't got a position as high as mine, however, they still work hard, never complain.
As to me, I think my ability just suit for a small team leader, even not suit enough for a class monitor.
Of course, there are also many colleagues they have got a high position than me, that is just because their hard working and their strong ability.
This is my opinion about the topic, and I don't know If I make it clear.
