My Country!
Hi, my name is Brenda. This is my first day in this plataform.
Today I want to talk about my country. The mexicans we love the parties and every day is a new opportunity to celebrate something. We are very friendly people because we enjoying to meet new persons and we love when people talk about their family, customs, and favorite food. We love listen to music in english and spanish. We have a kind of music call "rancheras" and we used to listen in every party and meeting with friends... They can't miss!!
We have a differet kind of food, but in my opinion, the best food is "tacos", the mexicans eats a lot of tacos, we have variety. If you love sea food, you can eat seafood tacos,like tacos de pescado or shrimp tacos. If you like meat you can find different types of meat , like asada, adobada, tripa,suadero etc.
We love the spicy food and spicy sauce, we put sauce on almost everything, I don't know why but since I was young my mom taught me to put sauce on my food, now I am mom and I teaching the same thing to my daughters.

关于学习中文
大家好，我中文名字叫松韵。我是来自美国的大学生。我学中文学了两个年差不多。我从小的时候想学习中文，但是因为我的故乡很小，我的学校没有中文课程。我不知道为什么我从来对中国感兴趣。我觉得说中文是很重要，因为有很大的文化障碍介于美国和中国。我想多了解中国文化，并且用中文和中国人沟通。
尽管学习中文很难，但是我喜欢学习。我觉得声调和汉字是最难的，因为我要记得很多的东西，而且英语没有声调，所以我常常说错的声调。听懂中国人的说话也很难，但是我觉得如果我多听中国人的说话，我会听懂更多的事儿。
我觉得学习外语是一个愚弄自己的好方法。我有一个可笑学习中文的经历：当时我和一个来自中国朋友聊天，我想告诉他：“我会出门” 但是，我说了： “我会出家”。我说这个以后我很尴尬。说中文是很容易愚弄自己，因为中文有声调。比如，“我可以问你一下” 和 “我可以吻你一下”。这两个句子为一个美国人很容易咬不准。

El invierno ha llegado
Actualmente aquí en mi país en el norte de Europa, hace mucho frío. Normalmente cuando llega el invierno, viajo a otras países, donde la clima es más calurosa, pero este año tengo que quedarme aquí. No me gusta nada el frío. Pero todavía voy de paseo cada día con mi perro en la naturaleza, en los basques. Hace algunos días nievó por primera vez también, así que se siente realmente como el invierno está aquí.
Sobre mi progreso de aprender español, creo que todo va bastante bien. Lo sé que todavía me falta mucho de vocabulario y no sé muy bien la gramática. Entonces creo que para fijar eso, necesito concentrar más en descubriendo nuevas palabras y aprendiendo la estructura y la gramática del idioma por viendo videos en español, escuchando hablar a hispanoablantes y escribiendo o leyendo. Sin saber tantas palabras, es muy complicado escribir y hablar sobre todo lo que quiero, pero eventualmente será más fácil. Además, leer en español es mucho más fácil que escribir o hablar para mí, así eso es una cosa buena, al menos.
Voy a continuar aprender palabras y espero que alguno otro día pueda escribir sobre más cosas de las que puedo ahora. Voy a mejorar un poco cada día.

Un petit texte
Ça fait longtemps que j'ai écrit ici. Bien que j'aie beaucoup de temps, j'oublie d'écrire. Ainsi, il me manque de practice dans la façon d'écrire. Ma compréhension a amélioré vachement mais je crois que mon level d'écriture a vraiment diminué.
Maintenant dans la cours du français, on lit le roman "Oscar et la dame rose" de Éric Emanuel Schmitt. J'ai déjà le connu (l'auteur), car j'ai déjà lu son roman "Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du coran". J'aime bien que ses romans soient facile à lire mais pourtant intéressant. Depuis quelques mois j'ai aussi commencé à regarder le chaîne youtube "Hugo Décrypte". Il poste une vidéo tous le jours dans laquelle il essayer de résumer l'actualité en moins de dix minutes. Enfin, j'ai essayé de lire des articles sur le site d'internet de "Le Monde" mais ça a l'air un peu trop difficile pour mon niveau français.
C'est tout pour le moment.

Las compras
No me gusta mucho hacer mercado o ir de compras. Prefiero otras actividades pero si tengo que elegir entre los dos, elegiría ir de compras. Hacer mercado es siempre una lata pero de vez en cuando ir de compras puede ser divertido.
Si recibí cincuenta dólares hoy haría ir al cine para ver una película o como asi. Posiblemente haría usarlos para ir a cenar o, en esta época, ahorrarlos. En realidad no creo que vaya de compras con esos dólares.
Dependiendo de la situación y las cosas que quiero comprar, compraré en línea o en persona. En realidad, uso el internet para investigar mis opciones antes de ir a las tiendas. A veces compro en línea pero voy a la tienda para tomar la cosa que compro. La última cosa que compré era una computadora barata en persona porque estaba en rebaja y mi pareja necesitaba una nueva.
En el futuro creo que muchas personas harían comprar en línea, y no se, posiblemente las tiendas van a desaparecer de muchos sitios.

Minha aula de português
Hoje, eu tive uma aula com um américano e lhe ensino português básico com ajuda de um livro.
Eu acho muito bom ter esse livro. Parece que ele agora já sabe como conjugar o verbo ser e estar e os verbos regulares terminados em AR.
Aparte disso eu agora tô aguardando pelo pedreiro para consertar uma fuga de agua que está do lado do meu banheiro.

Loving
I just realized that loving and caring intertwine in such a beautiful way. You care for someone or something because you love them, and in that caring you show that love.
My grandparents show their love by making sure that we have everything we need. My mum pays attention to what we like and tries to make us food that we love. My stepfather used to kiss me goodnight every day when I was little, and my dad bought me books and puzzles he though I would like. They care about me because they love me. And I don't have the words to express how loved I feel when I think about everything they've done for me. It's true when people say that actions speak louder than words.
I love people in my life, but I'm afraid they don't know how much because I don't show that I care. It's not that I don't want to, but because somehow it's hard for me to open up and reveal my feelings. I feel so much, but I show so little.

Why don't more people go vegetarian?
I’ve been a meat-eater all my life. I come from a family and culture that eats meats all the time.
It’s hard to believe that people can live their lives without consuming meat, especially red. However, since I moved to Chile, I have made a lot of vegetarian friends, and they have cooked some delicious meatless food for me. Maybe I would eat less meat, if I knew how cooking basics. Lately, I’ve been trying to find ways to reduce the amount of meat I consume. I am not a person who eats vegetables on a daily basis, I am not used to it, and this is also a family thing. But so far I have been able to find some recipes that I really enjoy and find mouth-watering.
Moreover, there are many reasons meat consumption is problematic. It increases global carbon emissions, the risk of chronic diseases, and the chance of gaining weight. So when I stop for a moment to think about all the negative effects it can cause on my body and the environment, it makes me depressed. And these happen because we are not really aware of the consequences of our choices.
I don’t know if I will ever be a vegetarian, I find it really hard to accomplish that, but I definitely want to cut down on meat. I know it’s just a habit, a comfort zone, and that can be certainly changed.

Ein sehr politisches Kind
Stephanie lebt in Dresden und hat 3 Kinder. Sie hat ein bisschen von ihrer Kindheit erzählt. Sie war ein sehr politisches Kind und sprach oft mit ihren Eltern über Politik. Das finde ich sehr interessant, weil ich glaube, dass es wichtig ist, von klein an Interesse an diesem Thema zu haben. Politik ist überall in unserem Leben, egal ob man Interesse daran hat oder nicht. Man kann ohne viele Kenntnisse über Politik leben, aber das kann bedeutet, dass andere Menschen eine Wahl für dich treffen werden. Um nicht manipuliert zu werden, muss man sich darüber informieren, was in deinem Land, Staat oder deiner Stadt passiert. Es kann schwer sein, die Welt zu ändern, aber wenn man nichts dafür tut, ist es am schlechtesten.

La cuisine
Mes amis et mois sont en train de débattre qu'est qui la meillure façon pour faire des pâtes de carbonara - j'ai fais toujours des ouefs brouillées!
Ils me conseillent que l'astuce est de retirer la poêle du fer, d'en lasser pour deux minutes et puis d'ajouter le mélange d'ouefs sans chaleur. Et voilà!

Mon métier
À l’université, j’étudiais la biologie et je me suis spécialisé dans la biologie moléculaire. Maintenant je travaille comme assistant de recherche dans un laboratoire de la génétique. À cause du virus, en ce moment je travaille dans le laboratoire chaque lundi et mardi, et chaque autre mercredi. Les autres jours, je travaille depuis ma maison, analysant des données et planifiant des experiments. J’aime mon boulot, mais avec seulement une moitié de la semaine dans le laboratoire je suis très occupé pour cette période. La pire chose de mon métier est que ça peut être répétitive, spécialement quand les experiments ne marchent pas. Cependant, quand les choses marchent, c’est très satisfaisant. Bien que je suis très occupé, mon boulot actuel est encore plus détendu que mon boulot précédent, parce que notre chef nous mettait sous beaucoup de pression à produire des résultats. En fait, si nous passions “trop” de temps dans le bureau, il venait pour nous demander à passer plus de temps dans le laboratoire. Donc, je vais rester ici pour le moment, et à la fin de mon contrat, je veux commencer un doctorat.

Since yesterday, i've been studing English, y'know, so against my house, there are more houses. I'm so or better , i'm too exciting, because, I am improve my English everyday. Something very well it's the outside it's simply beautiful. Speech in English it is important , because, it can help you much, if in your hometown, don't speech english, perhaps it'll be more difficult to learn the English language.

Я пошла в школу в возрасте пяти лет. Родители мне сказали, что я ждала с нетерпением начала учёбного года. Я во-первых пошла в государственную школу, но у меня был неудачный опыт там. Учёбная программа была слишком лёгкой для меня. Я была недовольна классом и испытывала депрессию.
Когда мне было восемь лет я пошла в частную школу. Я чувствовала себя намного лучше там. Я окончила школу в 2018-у и получила одни пятёрки. Я первоначально хотела поступить в университет на восточном побережье но в конце-концов, оказалась в университете рядом с моим родным городом.
Я всё ещё не выбрала специальность, хотя я представляю, что я буду изучать или русский язык, или философию. Я хочу стать журналисткой и написать комментарий по культурным вопросам. Чтобы по-настоящему понимать всё, что происходит в мире, надо понимать философию.

Le confinement en angleterre
Alors après deux jours calmes, mon travail recommençais rapidement. Mais même dans les periodes occupées, j'essaye de trouver le temps pour pratiquer le français.
Ce weekend, je n'ai pas de grands chose de prévu. Aujhourd'ui, le gouvernement anglais relâchait les règles du confinement ici et donc á Londres c'est possible maintenant de voir des amis au dehors (sauf qu'on ne peut pas se recontrer en groupes de plus de 6). Du coup, le dimanche, je vais recontrer trois de mes amis et nous allons faire du promenade à long du canal.
Autrement, je pourrais aller au restaurant locale avec mon copain pour fêter le fin du deuxième confinement ici et le réouverture des restaurants et magasins. Il y a eu longtemps depuis je n'ai pas fait d'exercise et donc il faut que j'ai besoin de bouger un peu.

Toss a coin
I enter the room with 999 people already there. I’m number 1000. After a short briefing from a jury member, everybody flips a coin. An ordinary one pound coin, usually forgotten in a winter jacket. Roughly half of the participants get heads, other half – tails, that was only to be expected. I’m a lucky one. I got heads! I passed the first stage. After nine consecutive coin flips, there were only two – and I was one of them.
He stood very still giving nothing away, lips tightly closed. We locked eyes. Tension hits the air. The moment of truth, the unraveling time is about to come. We both got 9 heads in a row until this moment. This round could decide the winner. He tosses, I follow. The coins are up in the air. My coin lands smoothly in my palm – heads, he shows tails. Ten times in a row. Just think how miraculous it is. I got heads ten times in a row. Not someone else, but me. An urge to feel special overfills my inflated ego and nevertheless, I’m not special.
I don’t have any magical power. I should not be grateful to a superstitious belief either. This was a stroke of pure luck. Take 1000 people, give them each a fair coin and on average half of them get heads. Half these 500 people again, then repeat it 8 more times and more likely you get 1. In this case that one person turned out to be me, that doesn’t make me special. This example struck me when I was watching a video of Neil Degrasse Tyson about Cognitive Biases. It is natural to assume that there is something special about you when an outcome of low probability occurs in your life. I casually walk down the street, the same street I walk every day, as I suddenly find a £10 note. Is there something different about me today? If not, then an unforeseen lottery win will definitely convince me I am the chosen one. Personally, I have a great deal to overcome a desire to attribute these achievements to the strong will of my character and the right consequence of choices I made in the morning to bring me to this point of space and time.

"Hindi only" (csak hindiül)
Az egyik előző cikkünkben azt állapítottuk meg, hogy a hindi és az urdu ugyanannak az alapnyelvnek, azaz a hindusztáni-nak (vagyis pontosabb a khariboli-nak), sztenderdizált változatai. A hindi, az angollal együtt, államnyelvként műkődik szövetségi szinten Indiában. Az urdu pedig a pakisztán közigazgatás elsődleges nyelve (bár a gyakorlatban őrződik az angol nyelv hivatali alkalmazása), és a harminchat indiai szövetségi államok és területek közül, tizenegyben hivatalos az urdu is.
Habár Pakisztánban az urdu a “nemzeti nyelvként” műkődik — kevés az ellenállás hozzá, és dominansok azok a nyelvideológiák, amelyek ezt a kiváltságos helyzetet indokolják, legalábbis a pendzsábi nemzetiségűek között — Indiában viszont a hindi nem tudott behatolni az országba, kivéve az észak és közép-északba. Ez annak ellenére így van, hogy a brit gyarmati rezsim elleni harcnak több vezetője amellett érvelt, hogy csak egy nemzeti nyelv legyen az új többnemzetiségű államban. Ezek a vezetők között Gandhi és Jawaharlal Nehru voltak (egyikük sem volt hindusztáni anyanyelvű).

My favorite place
My family have had a field for about 100 years. My grandmother lived there when she was a young, my mother and her brothers and sister enjoyed theirs firts years there too.
When I was a child I don't like to visit the field because I felt bored.
Now I love to visit it, near our house there are four old and big trees, my family enjoy this place becuase it is quite, there are two forest with autochthonous trees and while you walk you can see birds and little animals, but I realy love this place becuase I belive that my granmother's sprits live there.
I think my happy remeberings there are my favorite places.

Une usine qui fabrique des produits chimiques
Sujet : Une usine qui fabrique des produits chimiques doit s’installer à un kilomètre de votre lieu d’habitation. Vous vous inquiétez des conséquences sur votre vie quotidienne. Vous écrivez à un journal local en prenant position et en expliquant vos craintes.
Objet: Demande de supprimation du projet de construction d’une usine.
Madame, Monsieur,
En tant que représentante d’un groupe d’habitants vivant dans la ville X, j’écris cet article afin de vous faire connaître nos inquiétudes à propos du projet de construction d’une usine qui fabrique des produits chimiques. En effet, il faudrait penser aux impacts négatifs qu’apportera ce projet s’il s’installe juste à un kilomètre de notre lieu d’habitation.
Tout d’abord, il me semble que cette usine constitue une émetteur des gaz polluants, ce qui est néfaste pour la santé des habitants ici, surtout celle des personnes âgées et des enfants, qui possèdent de faible résistance. Autrement dit, en fabriquant des produits chimiques, elle peut produire également des émissions toxiques qui suscitent des mauvaises répercussions, voire des maladies dangeureux telles que les troubles respiratoires, les problèmes cardiovasculaires, le cancer, etc. Non seulement cela, cette usine provoque la pollution sonore, qui influence dangereusement sur notre qualité du sommeil. La qualité de vie ici se dégradera rapidement à cause de ce projet.
De plus, on n’oublie pas d’ajouter que l’environnement où se déroulent les activités communautaires, les divertissements des gens est également affecté gravement par ce projet. Si vous acceptez la réalisation de ce projet, nous ne pourrions plus leurs enfants de jouer aux alentours, car cela trop dangereux. D’ailleurs, cet endroit va progressivement perdre leur beauté. Aucune personne vient ici parce qu’ils ne veulent pas vivre dans un environnement où il y a des poussières, des gaz polluants et trop de bruit.
Espérant vous avoir convaincu de la légimité de notre position et de la nécessité de réagir rapidement non seulement pour notre santé mais aussi pour notre ambiance.

The hotel I lived in for this training is on the hill side. After dinner, I decided to take a walk with a few of my colleagues. Since we were going down the hills and there were only a few street lamps on our way, we had to be very careful with our feet. After a couple of minutes, we came down the hill, where there was a large area of flat and broadened land with tidy trees in several rows, and some women were dancing there. Since my colleagues were chatting while walking, they went too slow. I wanted to exercise more, so I left them and hiked quickly. After turning a round, I began to go back. On my way back, I encountered my colleagues again. They were also on their way to the hotel. Because the return trip was up a hill, we had to climb the steps. It was really tough work, and I started panting as I walked. When I got to the hotel, I was sweating all over.

Match without audience
Last night I watched a snooker final match in my computer.
Both player’s performance was excellent.
I enjoyed so much.
But the “sad” part was due to virus affect.
The whole match was no audiences at all.
When the player perform some top skills, you will hear a recorded applause voice from the background.
That was spoil the atmosphere.
When a live match without any audiences is just feel so weird.
When I watch a match, I do expect big and loud cheer voice from fans and tears from your opponent…
This virus damaged our life too much and too many.
