You can change whatever you want!
It's alright if you change an entire sentence!!
I'd like to learn some common phrases and slang! ๐Ÿ™

I'm looking forward to your constructive criticism.โœ๏ธ

B: What did you eat this morning?
A: Spicy miso flavored cup ramen
B: Cup ramen in the morning? It's not healthy.
A: Well, yes. But it's easy.
B: That's true. But granola and cereals are easy too.
A: Yeah, but I didn't have any at home. I'll get some today.
B: Yeah, do that. What about lunch?
A: No lunch
B: You often skip lunch.
A: Yeah. I can't be bothered. I'd rather sit and on my phone. It's better for me.
B: Why don't you just buy it on your way to work in the morning and eat it at lunch while on your phone?
A: You're right. But I'm so busy in the morning that I don't have time to buy anything. All I just have to do is go to bed early, get up early, and leave the house 10 minutes earlier though.
B: Yeah, you're right. It's a test of your ability to cope by god.
A: You're right. Then I'll start buying tomorrow.
B: Great. What's for dinner?
A: Spring rolls and mackerel stewed in miso
B: Nice.
A: And you?

B: What did you eat yesterday morning?
A: Leftover curry from yesterday.
B: Was it good?
A: Yes! In Japan, they say that the next day's curry tastes better than the day you made it.
B: Why?
A: I'm not sure. Maybe like the umami?
B: I see. What about lunch?
A: Red leaf lettuce and bacon. This is also leftover from yesterday. I wrapped bacon in red leaf lettuce and had it with vinegar and miso sauce.
B: Oh, nice! It's healthy! And for dinner?
A: Grilled pork belly with garlic and soy sauce.
B: Oh, garlic is the best, right? There's no dish it doesn't go well with, right?
A: Yeah, nothing.
B: As long as I have garlic, I can live.
A: Liar. You'll definitely get bored with garlic alone. But yeah, right, the possibilities of the combo are infinite.
B: True. The combo are really infinite.

B: What did you eat this morning?
A: Just rice with yukari furikake.
B: Yukari?
A: Yukari is a kind of Japanese furikake that rice seasoning thing that is made from red shiso leaves. It has a sour-salty delicious flavor and is often eaten with rice and onigiri.
B: Oh, I see.
A: You don't have it in your country?
B: Yeah, I've never heard of it.
A: I see.
B: What did you have for lunch?
A: I didn't eat anything.
B: Omg, aren't you hungry? Are you on a diet?
A: No, I'm not. It was just a hassle.
B: You find it a pain in the neck to eat?
A: Yeah. Eating and going out to buy food. Do you ever have days like that?
B: No. I like eating. And you should eat three meals at the same time. Rhythm of life is important for your health.
A: Yeah, you're right. But I heard that sometimes it's healthier to eat two meals a day. The process of digestion in the stomach and absorption in the intestines requires a certain amount of time. Eating fewer meals increases the amount of hunger time when the stomach is completely empty, which is the resting time for the gastrointestinal tract. Some people say that by eating less often, they are less likely to feel sleepy after eating, and they feel clearer-headed, lighter, and so on.
B: Right. And it used to be normal to have two meals a day in the old days.
A: Yeah, true. So I guess there must be an appropriate number of meals for each person.
B: Good point. What about at night then?
A: Three flavors of fried chicken: soy sauce, garlic, and red pickled ginger.
B: Did you make that yourself?
A: Nah, I went to buy.
B: Wasn't that a hassle?
A: Yeah. I had an irresistible craving for fried chicken.
B: I see. What's red pickled ginger flavor?
A: Literally. Red pickled ginger flavor.
B: Oh, is it good?
A: Yeah, I like it. It's salty and not too heavy so good for summer. Do you like pickled something?
B: Yes.
A: Then I think you'll like it.
B: Oh, that's good. I'll give it a try when I get to Japan.
A: Nice. Tell me what you ate.

B: What did you eat this morning?
A: Just wasabi-flavored furikake on rice.
B: Easy meal.
A: Yeah, in the morning, easy dish hit the spot!
B: But you should eat something nutritious in the morning too. For the future.
A: Yeah. True.
B: What about lunch?
A: No lunch.
B: Again. I bet the girls would love to have that constitution of yours. The kind of nature where you don't have to eat.
A: Yeah, right. There are days when I don't eat for a whole day, but it's not hard at all.
B: The whole day? Why didn't you eat?
A: I didn't think I needed to. I felt like I didn't need to force myself to eat.
B: Were you hungry that day?
A: Yeah, that day. Usually I get hungry. But that day I was fine.
B: That's terrible. You might be the best survivor on a deserted island.
A: Maybe. I'd just hide in there and not eat anything.
B: LOL. What about for dinner?
A: Curry, and on the way home I bought a roll cake with salt in it, castella, and a fruit sandwich.
B: You bought a lot of desserts. Were you craving something sweet?
A: Yes. When I saw them in the showcase, I wanted to eat them, so I bought some.
B: Did you eat all of them?
A: No, I couldn't. I got sick halfway through and saved it for breakfast the next day.
B: That's a good decision. Did you make the curry yourself?
A: Nah. From a convenience store, lol.
B: You're a convenience store person, lol.
A: Yeah, I'm a convenience store person, lol. But you don't go to convenience stores at all?

B: Nice, sounds good.
A: Hmmm. But it was so-so.
B: Oh, really, lol. What did you have for dinner?
A: Grilled salmon and sausage.
B: Was it good?
A: Yeah. I bought a little expensive whole grain mustard, so the sausage was more good.
B: Is it different from the cheap one?
A: Yes. I usually get to feel heavy in the stomach after eating about five sausages, but with this mustard, I can eat 15 sausages!
B: Fifteen sausages! Iโ€™m proud of you, haha. How much did that mustard cost?

A: For breakfast on the 24th, I bought a curry-flavored paste to put on bread.
B: How was it?
A: meh. I don't think I'll buy it again.
The ordinary curry bread be sold everywhere in Japan is better.
B: I've had curry bread once and it was better than I thought. Curry and bread actually go well together.
A: Yeah, it's like eating naan with curry.
B: Yeah. What did you have for lunch?
A: I made and ate "่‚‰ใพใ‚“".
B: What's a "่‚‰ใพใ‚“"?
A: A pork bun
B: Oh, OK.
How did you make it?
A: I made the dough with a pankcake-mix, then I make a filling with pork and chives or something, put it inside, and steam it in a pan. That's all.
B: How did it turn out?
A: Well, I made the dough too thick and it became hard. But the taste was ok. I used pankcake-mix to make the crust, so it's a little sweet, so maybe kids'll like it better.
B: You like to cook?
A: Well, not really. lol
But sometimes I feel like cooking.
B: I kind of feel you, there are days that cooking is a good stress reliever.
A: Yeah, but it's hard to do it every day
B: That's why mothers are great!
A: Nowadays, there are more and more single fathers and househusbands and men who do housework, so a person who cooks every day is great.
B: Yeah, certainly.
What did you have for dinner?
A: I got dinner from a Japanese bento place called Hotto Motto.
B: What's bento?
A: Japanese lunch box.
B: Oh, OK! What kind of bento?
A: I think it was "Oyako-don".
B: What's that?
A: Chicken and egg over rice.
B: What does "oyako" mean?
A: It meas parents and children. The chicken is the parent and the egg is the child, that's why it's called "Oyako-don".
B: That sounds a bit cruel. lol
A: Yeah, I guess so, now that I think about it. We should really be grateful for the ingredients.
B: Yeah, you're right.
What did you eat for breakfast?
A: Granola.
B: Oh, there are a lot of people in the U.S. who eat granola. But American ones tend to be sweet.
A: I see. I think Japanese granola is moderately sweet. The sweetness of the fruit stands out.
B: I wanna try some Japanese ones.
A: I wanna try some American ones too.
B: Do you want to send it to each other?
Just for granola. haha
A: I wish there aren't shipping fee. lol
But I can send it if you really want to. lol
B: I think it's not necessary, that's a bit much. lol
A: OK. haha
B: What did you have for lunch?
A: I put chicken and beaten egg into "Shin ramen" and ate it.
B: Great, sounds delicious!
What did you have for dinner?
A: Yakitori.
B: What's "yakitori"?
A: "Yakitori" is a Japanese specialty where various parts of the chicken are skewered and charbroiled by the chef. They are usually served simply with only salt or dipped into teriyaki like sauces.
B: Ah, "Yakitori"!
It is also called "chicken skewers" or "chicken kebab" in other countries.
A: Oh, I didn't know that.
I'd like to try some "yakitori" from overseas.
How much does it cost?

B: Do you remember what you ate for breakfast the day before yesterday?
A: Uh, what was it? It's on the tip of my tongue, wha-cha-ma-call-it? Let's see... Oh, yes! I remember! Ochazuke!
B: Oh, I see!
So, what's "ochazuke"?
A: "Ochazuke" is a traditional rice soup made with rice and green tea.
But in my case, or in most people's cases, ochazuke is made with ochazuke powder, which you dissolve in hot water before eating.
B: Is it good?
A: A: It's delicious. You can add any toppings you like, and most importantly, it's easy and cheap, only takes 5 minutes to cook, and the whole thing probably costs less than 100 yen, depending on the toppings.
B: What toppings did you have the day before yesterday?
A: I put "ๆตท่‹”" and "ๅฑฑ่‘ต".
B: What are "ๆตท่‹”" and "ๅฑฑ่‘ต"?
A: Dried seaweed and Japanese horseradish.
B: Oh, nori and wasabi! Okay, okay!
A: Have you ever had it?
B: Yes! At a Japanese restaurant in America!
A: How was it?
B: Well, it was good! But Is there a difference between good and bad quality nori and wasabi?
A: Well, for nori, it doesn't taste much different, but good wasabi tastes so much better when you eat it alone with rice!
B: Isn't it spicy?
A: It's spicy, but it's deliciously spicy!
B: Wow! I wanna try.
A: Well, I think there is a difference between high quality and normal nori, but I don't really want to pay extra money for it.
B: I see. What did you eat for lunch?
A: I skipped lunch and had tofu, chicken, and aojiru (green juice) at night!
B: Oh, green juice! That's healthy!
A: Right? I don't know if it works or not, but it's better than not drinking it, right?
B: Probably. lol
What did you eat yesterday?
A: Chazuke again, hot dog, and an egg sandwich. I ate a lot in the morning, so I didn't eat lunch, and at night I had frozen gyoza and shu-mai.
B: What kind of shu-mai?
A: Shrimp shu-mai.
B: Oh, shrimp... I don't like them. Lol
A: Really? Ah, come to think of it, they look like insects. lol
B: Yeah, it's kind of gross.
A: I feel I understand. lol
I love shrimp though.
I could eat just that for the rest of my life.
B: No way. There's no way you can!
A: Just a thought, though I'd probably give up after 4 days.lol
B: Yeah, obviously.

B: What did you have for dinner?
A: I ate oden today.
B: What's that?ใ€€
A: Well, it's a kind of Japanese stew or nabe. It is a soup stock made from dried bonito flakes and kelp, flavored with soy sauce and other seasonings, and then simmered for a long time with various ingredients called tane. Ingredients include fried satsuma-age, hanpen, grilled chikuwa, tsumire, konnyaku, daikon radish, sweet potato, beef tendon, boiled egg, thick fried bean curd, and many others. I love this dish! I suggest you eat it when you come to Japan!
B: Yeah, I will!
What did you eat last night?
A: I got some potatoes from a senior at the place where I work, so I steamed them in the microwave and ate them!
B: Nice! Did you put butter on them?
A: Of course! Butter is a must. I also had stir-fried vegetables.
B: What vegetables?
A: Peppers, carrots, onions, cabbage!
B: Great! Health-conscious!
A: Well, yes!
B: But the nutritionist said that vegetables should be boiled so that the nutrients don't escape.
A: Yeah. But I'm childish taste. So I like they are well seasoned. Do you like the taste of vegetables as they are?

A: Pasta with meat sauce from the convenience store!ใ€€
B: You really like convenience stores, right?
A: Yeah, it's easy.
B: But it's not very healthy!
A: Yeah, so I crushed up some tomatoes I had in the fridge to bulk up the meat sauce and make it healthier.
B: That sounds like a good idea.
A: Yeah. It tastes better with a lot of sauce.
B: Indeed. What about at night?
A: I ate dumplings.
My friend's family from junior high school runs a dumpling store, so I bought some dumplings there before and froze them and kept them.
B: Is it good?
A: They are delicious. Especially the sui-gyoza are delicious.
B: the sui-gyoza?

A: Let's see, there's an interesting one called "Legal High".
B: What kind of drama?
A: Like, a courtroom drama with a comedic touch. The main character is usually a jerk, but sometimes he says heavy words. It's good, too.
B: I see. I'll watch it!
A: Yeah! Lemme know if you watch it!
B: Sure!

I just watched "JAILBIRDS" and "GIRLS INCARCERATED" on Netflix.
They really made me think.
I guess people arenโ€™t bad from birth.
I think they do bad things because of their surroundings.
And I learned that relationships are much more important in American prisons than they are in Japanese prisons. It was like a school full of bad guys.
But the prisons I've seen in other documentaries were more extreme, so it made me wonder if these were just nicer prisons, or if the programs mostly showed the good side of prisons, or if the documentaries themselves were fake.
The mystery only deepens...

B: What's it about?
A: Jailbird" is about the daily life of a female inmate in the Sacramento County Jail, and "Girls Incarcerated" is about girls in an Indiana juvenile correctional facility.

I finished "darktourist" on Netflix.
Some of the stories were quite intense.
I know that we shouldn't judge what people believe, but there were many things that shocked me and that I didn't understand. It was good to be reminded that there are all kinds of people in the world. I especially liked the part with the animation and music at the opening of the show.

I found a very interesting show! ๐Ÿ˜‹
I watch it to learn about various people's feelings and stuff, and it broadens my horizons. Some people say that "making a program like this is discriminating against people with disabilities", but I have learned about some diseases and symptoms thanks to this program. So, I think it's a good opportunity for people who are not familiar with diseases and things like that, including me, to learn more about them. If I think of it as a step toward better understanding and less discrimination and bullying against minorities as everyone gets to know various people, I think it's a very socially beneficial show. And, I found out that compared to Japanese relationship counseling services, in the U.S., quite few young people go to these services. I have never heard of 18 year olds going in Japan. I also found that American women care quite a bit about a man's height. I believe women in Japan also care, but not as much as women in the U.S. It's very interesting to learn this kind of information. The only problem is that there are only English subtitles, so I can only understand about half of what is being said.๐Ÿ˜ต
I need to study...๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿ”ฅ

A: I guess it's like a Japanese version of The Simpsons. Maybe. Anyway, it's a Japanese national anime about a crazy family!
But it's fun and sometimes there are episodes that move me, so give it a watch!
I'd love to hear your honest thoughts.
B: I liked The Simpsons, so I might like it!
A: Then you might like it!
But a lot of people overseas hate the main character. lol
The main character likes to moon people, and I think this cartoon was banned in the US and Indonesia because of that!
B: Really? LOL.
A: On top of that, some people even call him a "naughty little boy". It may seem like a children's anime to people overseas, but in Japan, many adults love it too.
The anime is mostly just jokes, but the movies are seriously moving.
I'm moved by the kindness rarely shown by the main character, his parents, and his friends, and by the unexpectedly deep message. The movies "Sengoku" and "Otona Teikoku" are the best examples of this.
B :Oh, I might have heard of "Otona Teikoku" before.
A : Oh, really!?
B: I've never seen it, though.
A: It is such a work of work that you cannot talk about Japanese animated films without having seen it.
B: Is that so?
A: Maybe, I think I might have exaggerated a bit..Haha
But that's how much I love it!
You should watch it because it's definitely one of the greatest Japanese anime films! Like it or not.
But I think you should watch "Sengoku" first.
I think this is the one that everyone will like.
I have never heard of anyone in Japan who dislikes this film. am not sure what people from overseas think, though.Haha
B: Ok! "Sengoku"!
I'll check it out!
A: Also, if you haven't seen the anime, some things might need a little explanation, so it might be a good idea to become familiar with the family structure and characters beforehand.
If I were to explain it to you, I would say that it's an anime about it's an anime about a family of four people and a dog, and the daily life of Shinnosuke, the eldest son of the family, who is a very selfish five-year-old boy who annoys the people around him.
B: I see.
Thanks! I'll take a look!
A: Yeah, check it out!

It's alright if you change an entire sentence!!
I'd like to learn some common phrases and slang! ๐Ÿ™
Also, I'd like to hear your advice on how to have conversations with English speakers.

I just read Sayonara Eri.

The themes of book are about "bondage" and "liberation," and the story is about a mother who is ill, and the main character takes a video of his mother as a memory for various reasons, but the story changes again and again as it unfolds.

I liked the twists in the story, but it was a bit predictable.I especially liked the atmosphere at the end. For example, The scene where the main character leaves her and the scene the main character walks away alone. I mixed feelings. Part of me felt sad and part of me felt content. I felt a sort of ...melancholy ? I can't explain it, but I'm moved. ๐ŸฅฒIt's free for about 30 days or so, so try it.

A: What's your favorite manga?
B: Fullmetal Alchemist
A: I like it too! But I read it when I was in about Jr high school, so I wonder if I remember it correctly. Who's your favorite character?
B: Hmmm, Greed, I guess.
A: Oh, shit. What kind of guy was he? LOL.
B: No way!
A: Hold on, give me 10 seconds. Remind me.
B: Okay.
A: Ahh, okay, okay. The one that turns black, huh.
B: Yeah, yeah, lol.
A: The one where King Bradley beat you up, right?
B: Yeah, yeah, lol.
A: I loved that scene. Why's that character your favorite?
B: Well, his way of life? LOL.ใ€€
A: Oh, I get the feeling that I kinda feel ya. But what was that why did he fuse into that Asian-looking guy?

Thoughts about Kingdom in Episode 714.

Why hasn't Banaji gone blind from the wound in his right eye? It's such a big scar.

It's always exciting when strong guys get together, even if they're enemies.

Mouten looks a bit foolish, huh?
It's normal to expect enemies to gather.

Riboku's words are always so profound and heavy.
That's why he's so respected.

He goes out of his way to call Kanki the 6th Shogun.
It's like, "If you can do it, do it.

A: Do you know "Kingdom"?
B: No.
A: This!
B: I've never seen or heard of that.
A: Yeah, I know. haha. A work that is extremely popular in Japan, but it's rare to find someone overseas that has heard of it. Give it a read when you have the time! You may not like the pictures at first, but after reading about 10 volumes, it just grabs your heart... Maybe.๐Ÿ˜‚
But I wouldn't really recommend the anime. I think it's still good after season3, but 1 and 2 are not good at all. The movements are kind of weird. The pictures are not cool, either. I think the original are ruined.๐Ÿคฆ
B: What's it about?
A: It's the story about in called the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period of China. It is a story about a boy named Shin, a war orphan with no relatives who aspires to become a great general, and a boy named Eisei, who later becomes the first Qin Emperor, who meet each other by fate and survive the warring times to achieve their dreams.
B: Sounds interesting!
A: Very interesting and awesome! It's a historical work, so to a certain extent, you already know what's going to happen. That is why the author has already depicted the main character becoming a general at the very beginning of the manga. But even if you read the manga knowing what happens after that, it's still sustaining interest. There are many deeply moving and heartfelt exciting developments. But I don't know why, but it's only popular in Japan. I can understand if they think it's not for them after reading it, but I don't understand people who think they are not interested in it before reading it. Deciding based on impressions is, y'know, like, discrimination.
B: Omg, haha. Say that much?
A: Yeah, it's like assuming someone isn't interesting without even talking to them. I think you should at least read the manga at least once, not just based on your impression of it. I guess that's how the seeds of discrimination grow. So, you must see and hear everything with your own eyes and ears, and have your own opinion after confirming it. This is important. So reading this manga is the first step toward eliminating discrimination. Seriously.

A work that is extremely popular in Japan, but it's rare to find someone overseas that has heard of it. But, how could you stop in the middle of the road?
In most cases, once you start, you can't stop. Like, heroin.
Anyways, how far have you gotten?

B: Excuse me, I'm looking for a place that sells kimonos. Do you know if there are any stores around here?
A: Oh, kimonos, I have no idea. But I can check!
B: Thanks!
A: By the way, do you want a kimono instead of a yukata?
B: What's the difference?
A: Well, I'm not really sure either, but I think a kimono is a little more expensive. Also, I guess, kimonos were originally worn as clothing and are made of silk, so they're heavier and a little more formal. And yukatas were originally worn after taking a bath, and they're made of cotton, so they're lightweight and are considered a casual kimono worn at festivals and things like that.
B: Oh, I see.
A: They look like this.
B: Oh, I see. Both are good, but I prefer a kimono.
A: I don't know exactly how much they cost, but I think buying one online is the cheapest way to go. Would you like to see the real thing?
B: Hmm... Yes.
A: Ok! I'll see if there's a store around here!
B: Thanks!
A: Hmmm... It seems there are'nt any around here, but if you take the train, I've got three stores in my search. This is the closest one. I think they sell yukatas too.
B: How far is it by train?
A: Well, oh, it's only one stop. You could probably walk there.
B: What's the name of the store?
A: Tokyo Kimono. Look the other stores. Here you go.
B: Thanks.
A: If you find one that looks good, I'll check out how to get there.
B: Thanks. Let me have a look.
A: Yup.
B: Hmm, this one looks good.
A: Which one? Oh, this is the one we were talking about earlier. I'll check to see if you can walk there.
B: Thanks.
A: Walking will take about 20 minutes. But if you take the train, it might be about the same as walking, considering the distance from here to a station plus the distance from a station to the store. But if you walk, you might get lost, so the train is easier. Which one do you want to do?
B: Oh, well, I think I'll take the train.
A: Ok. Do you know how to get to B station?
B: B station, right?
A: Yes!
B: I just got on the train earlier, so, yeah, I know how.
A: Oh, that's good. Then you might wanna ask at the closest station to that store for directions to it, right?
B: Yes.
A: And if you have a navigation app on your phone, I can give you the address.
B: Oh, yeah. I want to know the address.
A: Well, it's 000.
B: 000, correct?
A: Yes.
B: Thank you very much.
A: You're welcome. Have a nice trip!
B: Thanks! Bye!
A: Bye bye.

B: Excuse me, I'm looking for some Japanese souvenirs. Any recommendations for places around here?
A: I don't really know about this area. What kind of things are you looking for? I can help you find a place on my phone, If you want.
B: Oh, really? That would be great.
I want a souvenir that reminds me of Japan.
A: Oh, nice. So, how about chopsticks, a kimono, or an inkan?
B: Aren't kimonos expensive?
A: Well, they might be expensive. I think you can buy one on the internet for a little over 10,000 yen, but it would be expensive to buy one in a store.ใ€€
B: Definitely. What's Inkan?
A: Well, it's a stamp with your name on it.
B: Oh, I see! Is there a store around here where I can buy one?
A: Just a sec... Let's see, uhh, there isn't, but you can find souvenir stores if you go to Asakusa. There's definitely a lot more souvenirs to choose from in Asakusa!
B: Good idea. Can you tell me how to get to Asakusa by train?
A: Sure!
B: Thanks.
