How would you like 2024 to be different than 2023?
I am hopeful for this year. I am not keen on making wish lists, but I have some interests I want to accomplish in 2024.
First of all, I want to improve my English skills because the job market in my country is becoming more and more competitive nowadays, and a second or even a third language is becoming fundamental to look for good employment.
On the other hand, I feel that I have to take better care of my body, so I'm thinking of joining a gym. I've been looking for a good one near my home, and I have found one that looks very cool.
I also wish to carry on with my awesome relationship with my girlfriend. This year we will reach seven years together, and I love her like it was the first day. Maybe I should buy a new car. , I love my Toyota but recently it has been giving me much trouble. In 2023, I spent more than a thousand euros on it. I'm tired of fixing it!.
I could think more about this year, but I don't want to bore anyone else, so let's finish here!.

Un bilan de 2023 : partie 2
Je continue avec ma rétrospective de 2023. Cette fois, je vais parler des catastrophes naturelles causées par le changement climatique. J’admets qu’il existe certains sceptiques qui en nient. Je voudrais leur poser la question : de quoi s’agit-il ?
Quoi qu’il en soit, je n’ai pas de temps à perdre avec ces sceptiques. D’abord, je vais dresser une liste des grandes catastrophes naturelles dont je me souviens. Il y en avait beaucoup dans le monde. Il y a eu des violents tremblements de terre en Turquie et en Syrie. Je me rappelle aussi qu’il y a eu des autres en Indonésie, en Maroc, en Afghanistan, au Népal et dans le Pacifique. En Turquie, on estime qu’il y avait 59 000 décès et 8 000 décès en Syrie.
Pendant cette année, il y a eu des tempêtes au Mozambique, au Madagascar, en Australie et dans de nombreux autres pays. Ma liste de sécheresse et d’incendies est encore longue. Les pays comprennent le Thaïlande, le Laos, l’Australie encore, en Chine et au Canada. Selon l’observatoire Copernicus, l’année 2023 a été l’année la plus chaude jamais enregistrée.

Un bilan de 2023 : partie 1
Alors, ce qui s’est passé en 2023. Personnellement, elle était très chargée pour moi et je remarque la même chose à travers le monde. Dans cette partie, ce dont je veux parler, ce sont des événements majeurs au domaine politique et au domaine sportif. Cela ne sera pas une liste exhaustive étant donné qu’il s’est passé beaucoup de choses en 2023. Faire une liste de tous serait un véritable défi.
Commençons dans le monde politique. Il y a eu de nombreux nouveaux dirigeants politiques élus en Amérique du Sud, en Angleterre, en Nouvelle-Zélande et dans certains pays africains. La guerre entre la Russie et l’Ukraine est entrée dans sa deuxième année et une nouvelle guerre entre Israël et le Hamas a commencé.
Passons maintenant au monde du sport. Cristiano Ronaldo est devenu l’athlète le plus payé du monde. C’est incroyable mais il est payé un salaire de 123 millions d’euros par an. Certaines coupes du monde se sont tenues. L’Espagne a remporté la Coupe du monde féminine de football et l’Afrique du Sud a remporté la Coupe du monde masculin de rugby. Je vais arrêter ici et dans la deuxième partie je vais dresser une liste des catastrophes naturelles à cause du changement climatique.

Jednak, nie bardzo rozumiem, po co pokazywać taką postać jak Ryjek. Nigdy go nie lubiłem. Jest bardzo leniwy i wszystkiego się boi. Poza tym jest chciwy. Ostatnio bardzo mnie wkurzył, gdy był gotów zdradzić Tatusia za złoto.
Chociaż wiem, że to przykład dla dzieci, jak nie należy się zachowywać. (A właśnie, Ryjek prawie nie występuje w książkach o Dolinie Muminków, pojawił się tylko raz w pierwszej książce jako jeden z głównych bohaterów, a potem nie był tak często wymieniany)
Można długo pisać o zaletach i wadach pozostalych bohaterów takich jak Mała Mi, Panna Migotka, Mama Muminka, Tatuś Muminka, Migotek, Paszczak i inni,
lecz rzecz polega na tym, że wszyscy mają swoje własne cechy, i niezależnie od tego, jak bardzo się różnią, to nie przeszkadza im żyć razem spokojnie i radośnie.

Mi lengua materna
Mi lengua materna es el idioma más estudiado por todo el mundo - el inglés. Como que mucha gente en la mayoría de los países del mundo estudia inglés, es un idioma muy útil que abre muchas puertas. Conozco a muchas personas que se esfuerzan mucho para mejorar su inglés con ambición de obtener un mejor trabajo, o poder viajar a otros países y comunicarse con más facilidad. Siempre me dicen que tengo suerte por tener inglés como lengua materna, y no puedo contestar que no estoy de acuerdo. Poder hablar inglés con fluidez es muy atractivo para empleadores potenciales. Cuando he ido de viaje, casi siempre he podido encontrar una persona con un nivel de inglés suficiente para rectificar los problemas a que he enfrentado. Si quiero buscar información en línea de cualquier asunto, puedo encontrarla sin problema.
Sin embargo, el poder global del inglés viene con unos puntos que no veo tan bonito. Como que muchas personas sientan una presión de aprender el inglés, se ponen agobiadas y hartas del estudiarlo. Hay poca gente que aprende el ingles por pasión, y más por necesidad. Además, la mayoría de las personas que hablan inglés como lengua materna, no pueden hablar otros idiomas. No entiendan tan difícil es aprender una lengua ni la necesaria cuantidad de horas de estudio. Ese hecho significa que unos hablantes de inglés tienen poca paciencia para los principiantes de su lengua.
No obstante recomendaría que cualquier persona que tenga interés por el inglés comience un viaje de aprendizaje del idioma. Es una lengua con influencias de una gran mezcla de idiomas, que forman un vocabulario interesante y variado. Pero cuidado con los "phrasal verbs"!

Which Would you Like to Choose? (10)
I watched an interesting YouTube video.
The YouTuber was talking about how much practical you are.
He asked us "If you can get money, which would you choose getting 5,000 yen right now, or 10,000 yen after one year?"
I would choose 5,000 yen because there's no guarantee being alive healthy next year.
It's not like I'm suffering from a disease or unhealthy, but still I could come across an accident like a car crash or natural disaster.
That's why I would choose to get 5,000 yen straight away, and eat something delicious.

My hobbies
I immensely enjoy doing sports. I had been running and swimming for five years, before I switched to wall climbing. While I really liked in swimming and running that I needed a strong mindset to keep pushing through, after a time I grew bored. I remember, when I first went wall climbing, I was fascinated. I was amazed how creatively you could move around and how you have to think, to plan out your moves before starting. On my free afternoons I usually go out with my friends to play volleyball and basketball. Unlike the sports mentioned before, these team sports require you to pay attention to you surroundings and react accordingly.
I also read a lot and like watching series, especially animes. Right now I'm reading The Black Company from Glen Cook. It has been really interesting so far, I love how the characters are so complex and how it shows, that there is no such thing as pure evil.

Deutschland
Ich habe nicht in Deutschland viel Zeit verbringen. Ich bin nur in Deutschland in Urlaub fahren. Ich habe nicht in Deutschland gewohnt. Ich weiß nichts von die Gesetze in Deutschland. Aber ich denke mal, sehr gefährliche Tiere wie Löwen und Tiger sind nicht erlaubt als Haustiere. Mein Vermieter erlaubt nicht, mich Haustiere zu haben.

ich möchte dir erzählen, dass ich an einer Fotoausstellung teilnehme. Diese Ausstellung findet in einem Lokal statt, das neben unserer Universität liegt. Es ist nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Das Thema ist „Die Straße der Altstadt“. Diese Fotoausstellung finde ich toll. Es gibt viele interessante Fotos. Ich habe neue Fotograf und Fotografin kennengelernt. Ich möchte diese Ausstellung mit dir besuchen. Hättest du Zeit am Wochenende? Ich vorspreche, das lohnt sich, diese Ausstellung zu besuchen.

Story about Lamb Kebabs (5) - a Fateful Event
Uyghur people have enjoyed privileged policy for decades. For example, they can have more than one child. Meanwhile, the Han ethnic group suffered from the inhumane one-child policy from the mid-1970s to about 2017. In addition, Uyghurs can gain admission to good universities with a comparatively quite low band score, and other benifits.

They moved to the inland of China with their lamb kebab stalls, and a few of them even wanted to illegally leave for other countries, some of them for economic reasons and some for politics.
On March 1, 2014. A critical and fateful event occurred in Kunming (the capital city of Yunnan province which borders Laos) Railway Station. Several Uyghurs killed 29 local people and more than a hundred were injured. As before, different media outlets have different and even opposite reports about the tragedy, and I do not discuss more about it here. Anyway, the result was many innocent people died at the station.
No one would imagine what this event would bring to the Uyghurs; they will gradually be completely changed after that, including their kebab stalls across China.

Zovem se Nik (ili Nikola). Ja sam iz SAD-a, iz Amerike. Rodio sam u državi Njujorku, oko sat autom od grada Njujorka.
Ali sad ja živim u Beogradu. Možda se pitate zašto - ljudi su ovde navikli da vide kako Srbi odlaze i se sele u SAD, ili možda u Nemačku ili druge zemlje, a ne obrnuto. U osnovi, ja već dugo vreme ne živim u rodnoj zemlji. Pre devet godina sam se preseleo u Rusiju i dobio sam posao u Moskvi kao učitelj engleskog jezika. Smiđalo mi se tamo. Upoznao sam se sa mojoj devojkom tamo. Ona je iz Engleske.
Kad se rat počeo, odlučili smo da odemo, pošto nije bilo jacno šta će biti tamo, hoće li biti besopasno, hoće li raditi kompanija nad kome smo radili. I onda smo živeli prvo u Engleskoj nekoliko meseci, onda u SAD tri meseca. Shvatili smo da ne želimo da živemo ni u SAD ni u Engleskoj. Bilo je malo impulsivno, ali odlučili da dođemo ovde. Ejmi - to je moja devojka - je živela i učila u Beogradu godinu, imala je nekoliko srpskih prijatelja. Već smo bili u Beogradu umeste dva puta - jedan put na odmor, drugi put kad smo odlazili iz Rusije.

Japanese English
There was a collision between two airplanes yesterday at Haneda airport in Japan.
One is Japan Airlines(JAL) and the other is Japan Coast Guard(JCG).
Airport control tower(ACT)'s audio recorder is on YouTube now and some youtubers tried to analyse it.
The point is probably that JCG's pilot heard instructions from ACT wrong.
But I can't blame him for that because ACT's staff English is not good.
I think there are two Japanese staff who speak unclear English very fast in noisy radio communications.
English native speakers may be understand what they say, but many of us including English learners can't probably.
To avoid accidents in airports, I think the staff's English in ACT must be improved.
Anchorpeople are trained hard to speak beautiful and clear Japanese before they are on TV even though they are Japanese.
In the same way, ACT's staff must be trained to speak clear English and take a test before they make a debut in ACT.
I was astonished at the video on YouTube.
Yes, Japanese people are not good at speaking English.
I've laughed it off so far, but it's not laughing matter anymore.
