At this point, I think David is right. English is just English, just as Chinese is just Chinese, and there is no spoken Chinese or oral Chinese because every language includes four sections: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The reason why there is spoken English, I think, is closely related to the actual situation of English learning in China. Everybody knows, in China, students learning English are just for passing exams. Speaking English is never their goal. They don't need to speak, they only need to learn vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and writing, and these are enough. So there is also a Chinese saying that is called Dumb English, which means all Chinese students can't speak English even though they can get high scores in their English tests. But now, more and more people realize the importance of speaking English because the use of languages is to communicate. If you can not speak a language, how can you say you know that language? Therefore, many Chinese want to learn how to speak English, but what should they say to express themselves? Just by saying I want to learn English? That is definitely not what they are trying to say, so they have to say I want to learn spoken English. They want others to know that they only want to learn how to speak English, not as the traditional English learning form in China, only focus on passing exams and without any ability to speak.

When a new year comes around, people usually see the sunrise while praying new wishes.
I also go to a hill near my house to take pictures of the sunrise.
But I do this on the winter solstice.
After the winter solstice, daytime becomes longer than before.
So the day's sunrise is the real means of new year, I think.
Other reason is that, sunrise time is the latest of a year.
I don't need to hurry to go to the hill and see the mountain.
And the last reason is that there is easy to take a location to take pictures.
On new year's day, there are many people who want to see and to take pictures of the sunrise.
It is very hard to concentrate the sunrise only.
One week later, it is the day of winter solstice.
I look forward to see the new sunrise that day.

普通のOLです_(:3 」∠)_

I read an article online about monkey today. In the article, I looked at the monkeys in a hot spring in Hokkaido. They looked very comfortable. There is a very famous hot spring in Nagano that monkeys are bathing. I wonder if they aren't cold when they get out of the hot springs?

Thank you very much Sabine for teaching me. It's tough work because you need to write a very long paragraph with too many words.
I know what you were trying to let me know, and that is also what I want to master as soon as possible, but it's not an overnight thing. As you know, the whole life, entire life and lifetime have almost the same meaning, but I don't know the nuance between them yet. Not only these three phrases, but many synonyms that I can't tell the nuance between them. To be concise in writing is relatively easy, but to be more accurate is very hard because it requires you to have a huge vocabulary pool and know each of them very clearly so you can use them accurately. I know this is a long journey to go, especially for nonnative speakers. In short, all the vocabulary, the grammar rules and the members of sentences that I know, I just know them in general, not in detail. Fortunately, I never want to give up. Instead, I will stick to it forever as a hobby for the rest of my life.
Thank you for helping me all the way along. I think I will do well in learning English and won't let you down.

That usually happy to a person who is working 9-5.
Even now my working schedule is not like that.
But after 2 rest day and the first day come back to work.
I also have that same sickness feeling.
However, I also come up a good habit which can help reduce that stress.
The night before you go to work again.
I will take 10-15 minutes preparation for tomorrow.
Like double check my bag, tidy up the clothes…
Once when I get up, I don’t need to think too much.
Maybe you also doing the same preparation too.

Hello Allan:
Thank you Allan for giving me this reply after our class.
I think I have experienced an amazing class from you. You are very kind and friendly, and you are also very patient. You speak slowly and clearly, so I can understand you very well.
The problems in my English learning at present are the following: tense is the difficult part because often times I don't know what tense I should use. Singular and plural are the other difficult parts because there are still many nouns that I don't know if are countable. The last one is that I still don't know much about the part of speech for many vocabulary words, so I can't make sentences at will.
Anyway, it's really nice to learn from you and I feel I am very honored.
Sincerely
Your student, Jack Liu.

Music is a compulsory subject in some schools. On the other hand, some schools do not prefer to include music classes in their academic curriculum. In this short essay, I am going to write about some aspects to consider in this matter.
First, there is a common belief about how music or learning to play an instrument could improve many cognitive aspects in individuals. A person with different skills or interdisciplinary qualities could be more competitive and able to think outside -the box and develop their creativity. Just to make an example, Einstein played the violin and claimed that this instrument helped him to think. There are even some academic papers and research that support theories of this kind. Not to mention that an early music discovery could be the trigger that a future musician needs to become a marvelous artist. Popular singers, like Beyonce, started their music career at a very young age.
However, there are some cons to including a compulsory music course. First, some children may not really be interested, to the point of feeling it like a waste of time, in comparison with some other more “important” subjects like mathematics, natural science, or sports. Music as a requirement could be a double-edged sword if they feel it as an academic burden.
In conclusion, there are advantages and disadvantages to including music compulsory classes. Maybe the wisest decision could be to let students explore music in their study plan. Of course, a successful music program needs good teachers and resources. A bad instructor or do not have enough instruments for all could increase the failure of any initiative.

Nothing happened lately, at least nothing that I could write about and people would read without getting bored. I tried to remember what the journals that I correct usually say - games, traumas, dream trips, and so on - and I realized that all I was missing was creativity. Unfortunately, I didn't solve that problem yet, the fact that I am sitting in front of my laptop for 23 minutes and just wrote 4 lines proves that, so I will just copy other people's ideas and tell you about my routine. It isn't very interesting, but it's what we have for today.
I don't have an alarm clock, but I wake up early anyway. The first thing I do is to have breakfast and brush my teeth. Then I make a to-do list and decide where to start, it can vary depending on the day, but there are a few things that I do every day: read, work out, and study french. Since I'm on vacation I don't have to go to school and can focus on studying french, which is my main concern at the moment. I also write and publish these journals three times a week and practice English with other people twice a week. I can't study English every day (because I don't have time), but I try to keep in touch with the language so I won't forget it.

Beim Tanzen macht man richtig Spaß.

Frankenstein: success or failure? Viewed from the 21st-century biologist.
Victor Frankenstein, «a man of science», who was he? Infantile dreamer or great scientist? Is there any difference?
In this essay, I don’t want to write about the «God role» or the ethics of the experiments with a human being. The ethic is so changeable and depends on time. Being a bastard was awfully not so long ago. Today, people are frightened by genetically modified organisms. Tomorrow, maybe it will be as normal as having illegitimate children.
Frankenstein, who dreamt about giving life, gets success in it. It was an incredible event, but Victor fined his creature terrifying. So it was both a success and a failure.
What was the success? He creates life in his laboratory.
The failure: he had dreamt about creating a man, but he created a «monster», who could not adapt to the human world, because he was too strong, too ugly and too frightening.
What were the reasons for the failure?
One Finnish scientist told me about the «Russian» style of carrying the experiments. «You (Russian scientists), always start to do smth without careful thought, but always think why it won’t work».
First, he didn’t have a proper experimental design.
He didn’t carry out enough previous experiments. He should first experiment with mousses, then dogs, then chimpanzees.
He worked alone. It would be better for him to discuss his methods and technics with other specialists.
He should do the main procedure by himself, and not delegate them to the apprentice. If Igor hadn’t stolen the abnormal brain of a criminal from the laboratory of a professor, who knows what it would turn out to be?
And if we return to the ethical side, I really think that forbiddance on experiments with embryos older than 2 weeks will not stop scientists who want to work in this area. There is already He Jiankui, who has edited twins genomes. However, if these experiments will be open and there will be a normal law base controlling such experiments, we will be able to avoid the consequences of the creation of Frankenstein.
