I want to speak like a native!! Seriously!!
Would you please help me by correcting anything that's wrong or sounds unnatural in my sentences?
It's alright if you change an entire sentence!!! Or you can change whatever you want!
I'd like to learn some common phrases and slang! ๐
Also, I'd like to get your advice on how to have conversations with English speakers.
I'm looking forward to your constructive criticism.
A: Hey, what's wrong?
B: I might've dropped my wallet somewhere.
A: Oh, no. First, look in your pants, bag, and pockets again.
B: Okay.
Nothing.
A: What about your hip or shirt pocket? Or the side pocket of your bag?
B: Nothing.
A: Then try to remember when you last had it. If you can't remember, think about when you left home today.
B: Well, I had it until I was on the train, so maybe I dropped it there.
A: Okay, I'll call the station clerk now so tell me what station you got on, what line you were on, and where you were going. Also, if you remember, please tell me what time too.
B: Well, wait a minute, I got on at station D, and I don't remember the rest of the stations.
A: Which station were you trying to get to?
B: Tokyo station.
A: About what time did you get on the train?
B: Around 2:00 p.m.
A: Wait a minute. So this is the way to go? (shows the app)
B: Ummm, no, it's not.
A: Then this one?
B: Oh, maybe this one. A: Okay.
A: Okay. I'll call the station, just wait a minute, and give me your phone number so that the station staff can call you on your cell phone if they find it.
B: Ok. 000.
A: Okay.
The station staff will look for it and call you if they find it. They may find it today, or someone may deliver it to the station later. I don't know when they'll call, but if they do, please pick up the phone.
B: Okay. That was really helpful. Thank you very much.
A: You dropped your wallet, do you have any money?
B: I put some coins in my pocket, so I have some.
A: Will you be able to go home?
B: Yeah, I think so.
A: Take this just in case.
B: No, no, no, no, I can't take it, that's too much money.
A: It's not that much, but it'll let you do some more sightseeing, right? Since you came all the way to Japan, you can do more sightseeing with this.
B: Oh my gosh. Are you sure?
A: Sure.
B: Thank you very much. I will definitely repay you someday. May I have your phone number?
A: No, it's alright. Well, if you find the wallet, donate some money somewhere. I'd like it to go to animals animals about to be put down.
B: Okay. I'll definitely do that!
A: Thank you so much. Anyway, have a nice trip now! Take care!
B: Oh, thank you very much.
A: You're very welcome. Bye!
B: I hope to see you again!
A: You too!

B: Excuse me? Could you do me a favor?
A: Sure, how can I help you?
B: How do I get to the bathhouse? Uh~, sento?
A: Oh, yeah! Sento.
B: Do you know the way?
A: So do you know the name of that place?
B: Oh, forgot to say... wait a sec. Well, Yunoizumi Kenkou Center.
A: Oh, I know. It's a little different from a sento, but putting that aside... Anyways, well... How can I say directions...
B: Can you draw a map?
A: Oh, sorry. I'm rubbish at drawing, haha,
Well... It might be hard to explain, but if you'd like, I can show you.
B: Oh, that would be nice of you, thank you!
A; Youโre welcome.
Right this way. Letโs go.
B: Yes, letโs go.
Anyways, back to what you were talking about before, like sento and Kenkou Center are different. What does that mean?
A: Oh, well... I'm no expert, so I don't know the strict difference, so this is just my gut feeling, a Sento is like having only a bath, while Kenkou center is like having a restaurant, karaoke, ping-pong, comic book room, and various other facilities. Japanese people generally call it a Kenkou center or land. I think there are more places called "Kenkou land" than "Kenkou center".
B: Are the two the same?
A: Probably.
B: Oh, I see. Then, whatโs the difference between Kenkou center and Super Sento?
A: Hmm... well, I donโt know, haha.
Give me a minute. I'll google it.
B: Haha, I'm not much that curious, so there's no need to do that.
A: I'll look into it just in case it might be something to talk about, haha.
You can also put it in your knowledge.
Since you came all the way to Japan, so here's a present from me, haha.
I'm sure that will help you in the future. Child might say, "Dad! What's the difference between a Super Sento and a Kenkou Center?!" you will be able to answer it with your head held high.
B: Yeah, could be, haha.
A: Oh, I probably got it. Legally, they are the same, it's says. But in terms of rank, the order seems to be Kenkou land, Super Sento, and Sento, from best to worst.
B: Oh, I understand.
Anyways, Which do you prefer?
A: Well... I've never been to any of them, haha.
B: Why? You donโt like Sento?
A: Yeah, I didn't like taking baths with strangers in the first place. Iโve also heard a bad story about it.
B: What is it? I'm all ears.
A: A acquaintance used to work part-time at a place like that, and when he clean the bathtub after business hours, sometimes he saw there is poop floating in it.
B: Omg, really?
A: Yeah. These places have a lot of elderly people, you know, and maybe they can't stand it, haha.
B: That kinda disgusting.
A: Of course, I'm sure there are plenty of places that are clean, so not all of them have poop floating around.
B: Yeah, I know.
A: So it's important to do your research before going to such a place.
B: Okay. I'll do that.
A: Anyways, we're here.
B: Oh, thank you so much! You helped me a lot!
A: You"re welcome. Have a good day!
B: Yes! Take care!
A: You too!

B: Excuse me, do you know much does this cost to get in?
A: I don't know, I've never been here. Do you want me to look it up?
B: That would be graet!
A: Gimme a minute. Well, the admission fee is 700 yen per adult, 500 yen per child, and free for children under 3 years old. So you and you are free.
B: Really? Do we look 2 years old?
A: You all definitely don't look 2 years old! But you all can probably get through if you say we're 3! If you persist, though, you could be arrested.
B: That's dangerous. We'll pass then.
Anyways, can we also bring my pet?
A: Oh, that's not written, so ask the staff before you buy the ticket.
B: Okay, thank you!
A: You're welcome.

B: Excuse me, where can I get information on Himeji Castle?
A: There should be some pamphlets at the information center.
B: Whereโs the information center?
A: There should be one by the ticket counter.
B: In this station?
A: Yes! And thereโs also probably a website in English.
B: Oh, really?

Hola a alguien:

Hoy, me gustarรญa decirte sobre mi familia.
Pues, teรฑรญa seis miembros en mi familia. Mucho, sรฉ.

Hola a alguien:
Me llamo Francรฉs, y tengo diecisiete aรฑos. Voy a cumplir dieciocho el prรณximo mes.

Querido Sasha:
Hola mi mejor amiga. ยฟQuรฉ tal?
Me siento como no he hecho nada. Ademรกs, he siendo muy floja. Hizo calor, no?
La semana pasada, decidรญ a cambiar esto. Vi una pelรญcula nueva llamado โBatmanโ.
ยกA mรญ me encantaba!
Fran.
