J'ai beaucoup réfléchi sur quoi vous présenter; en fait, je pourrais remplir des pages et des pages sur elle, mais je dois bien choisir ce qu'est de votre intérêt. Dans ces intentions, voilà sa nausée.
Donc, clairement je ne va pas parler d'une nausée physique, ou plutôt d'une maladie physique, mais d'une nausée metaphysique, d'un mal de vivre, d'un douleur d'être. En fait, sa anxiété était seulement une petite partie de tout ça (d'ailleurs qui n'a jamais eu du mal de ventre ou des migraines avant un test ou un rendez-vous?). Si vous pouviez l'interroger sur ça, elle vous raconterait de son stress tout court; et on ne peut pas la critiquer de toute façon: personnes comme elles considèrent leurs sentiments et leurs idées les plus profondes comme inestimables. Par conséquent, n'hésitez pas à rêver au-delà de ce que elles vous présentent, à vous perdre dans la flânerie la plus belle que votre coeur vous peut donner.
Cela dit, sa nausée était plutôt le mal d'être malade, le douleur de ne pas être assez forte pour réussir à ne pas en ressentir; autrement dit, elle était écoeurée parce qu'elle ne réussissait à ne pas être écoeurée. Tout la confiance en sa intelligence était une exclusivité de son monde: quand devait la montrer, rien.

It Doesn’t Make Sense to Give Up
Just about everything I heard from people around me half of my life turned out to be untruth. Sure, not everything, but a great deal of it. I was told that if I finish the university, I get any job I choose. I was taught that girls should be calm and polite, that they have to wait for their “prince”; otherwise, they’ll stay alone and in despair. I was told that the world is a friendly place, full of people who are ready to help and resolve all my problems. Overall, all these maxims proved to be false, and I had to come face to face with this fact by myself.
As it turns out, this world is not that good. Sure, some people with privileges — like a rich family, for example — may believe our planet is like a truth heaven on earth; yet I don’t consider it to be truth. There’re crimes and inequality, generalized poverty and violence. While factories are killing the planet, our presidents are killing people in wars. Corporations are gathering our data, waiting for the momentum to sell it to other corporations. We’ve endured COVID, and now some of us are enduring high prices for products, low wages, health problems, the list goes on. So what are the chances that we keep our sanity in the world as it is now? Don’t ask me.
Put it another way, believing in the idea of a "friendly world” seems ridiculous to me today. Which is to say, not the happiest news. All that said, I don’t mean we have to give up and look how the world is deteriorating, eating popcorn and throwing in ironic comments about the futility of it all. It’s not really worth it, sinking into despair and waiting for our end on this planet. What I suggest is quite the opposite — we need to learn to live even at a complete loss of resources, meaning learn how to rely on ourselves.
Was I happy when I figured out that the world was not going to shower me with outrageous bonuses? Not at all. Was I frustrated when it turned out that people around me couldn’t answer the question of how I should live my life? Of course yes. Though many of them have trouble understanding how they should live their own lives. Long story short, at a certain point it turned out to me that no one except me really care about my future. More so, not only does nobody care, but some of the people back then was deliberately trying to hinder me from having a happy life. With that said, I could have become a depressed and unfriendly person. Fortunately, somehow I didn’t.
Realizing that people don’t care that much about me made me reconsider my values and attitudes toward life. I stopped dreaming of magical helpers who would come and resolve all my problems; instead, I started thinking about ways of creating the life that I want by myself. At the end of the day, if we don't care about ourselves, who will?
No doubt, it takes a great deal of courage to admit that our lives depend only on ourselves. But without realizing it, we are doomed to repeat our mistakes and be chronically unsatisfied. We can’t stop other people doing what they do, nor can we force them to do something in the matter of our happiness. All the same, shifting our focus from others to ourselves and committing to taking responsibility for our lives is what we can do. Do I know how to deal with all my problems and dilemmas? Maybe I know how to tackle all my troubles and doubts? The answer is no. But at least I don’t try to hand all that over to somebody else.
Having found ourselves in a place of frustration, we’re still able to look inside and find the courage to act against this emotion, and live according to our convictions. Being exhausted and feeling tired, we’re still able to believe in our intentions and meet daily obstacles with a smile. Even in the face of harsh life experiences, many of us are still hoping to be improving their lives, and we should honoring them — and us — for our hard work. Accepting our imperfection and limited resources could mean suffering from these reality, but by making this, we just in the same way embracing ourselves and learn to draw strength from inside, just like from each other.

Diary 1/31
Today I went to the library as usual. I didn’t eat breakfast because I overslept. Although I didn’t eat lunch either, I felt energetic from beginning to end. I felt a little hungry two hours before I planned to go home. I was so surprised! I thought that I may feel hungry before noon. I always eat a lot of breakfast before going to the library. Then, it happens that I feel sleepy between one and two o’clock. Therefore, next time I go to the library, I will do the same thing as today. I hope I can be more productive than before.
In the end of January, I really appreciate everyone who corrected my diary before. Without your helps, I can't persist for a month and I will keep going for the following month! By the way, I will force myself to record the diary here, instead of recording on my smartphone.

Today I went to the New Year market with my high school friend. There are a lot of foods but most of them are expensive. Therefore, we only bought four kinds of snacks. By the way, today’s performance is stand-up comedy. It is the first time I watched a live performance. It’s hilarious. The comedians had a good interaction with viewers.
In the evening, we went to an exhibit of lanterns that is being held in the city where I have lived. It is held around the lake and there are many food stands. We walked around the lake and ate from start to finish. Although the food is delicious, it isn’t like the lanterns exhibit that I saw before. It’s only a few lanterns and they are all made of balloons, not like the traditional ones made of iron wires. I thought it was the fly in the ointment.

Stock market was open after ten days of close. Many of my friends invest some money in the stock market. The price of one stock I bought rose! It's been so long that I finally waited until the situation I anticipated. I don't have much professional knowledge about investing. The only thing I consider is whether this company gains profits or not. I’m learning from the podcasts and books.

Today I stayed at home to prepare the necessary materials for exchanging. It took me a lot of time, but I felt so happy due to being one step closer to my dream. When I was preparing, my roommate told me the information I’m excited about. It's about the exchange students from France that want to find a school buddy. The deadline will be in three days, so I need to prepare for it first. Even though the quotas are only five, I will try my best to get this golden opportunity!

Today is my birthday! I went to another city to see an animated exhibition with my besties. The animation is our childhood memory. We went to the Taipei session, but it was packed with people. In addition, most of the merchandise was out of stock. However, today we did everything that we couldn’t do at that time. We not only had the collaborative meals but also made the photo booth. It’s the best birthday gift!

Today we went to the department store. We seldom go to that department store even though it is near my house. It’s because there are many luxurious goods. It is boring to stay at home. Therefore, we just walked around and went window shopping. We didn’t feel our feet were aching until we went home and sat down. No wonder some of my friends asked ''Why can I walk for a long time?''

Today we went to my grandmother’s home. There is also a department store near my grandmother’s house. Its square has held a market and a book fair for a month. After lunch, we went there to find something special. Unfortunately, the sizes of them are small. But I still found some books which I’m interested in. Most of them probably can be found at the library of my university where I have studied. Hence, I will borrow them when the new semester starts.

Married daughters will visit their parents' home on the second day of the Lunar New Year. As a result, we always visit my grandparents’ home today. We meet some relatives who only come once a year. My grandmother prepared a big meal for us. When we were full, it was time for UNO! The most hilarious part was when the ''plus two’’ card was thrown by my sister. There were five people playing. By the way, we always say ''start a war!'' when the ''plus two'' card or ''plus four'' card is thrown. In that round, every player had a ''plus two'' card and my sister who threw the card first had two pieces of it. At the end of the war, my aunt had to add twelve cards. We all couldn’t stop laughing.

Today I went to the temple near my house with my father and twin sisters in order to pacify Tai Sui for my grandfather and pray for his health. We knew the former president would give a small gift for everyone who wanted by accident. This is the custom that famous politicians will visit some temples and give people a gift during the Lunar New Year. Therefore, my sisters got in line, and my father and I did the major thing. Fortunately, they got the gifts before his next schedule even though there were so many people.

Today is New Year’s Eve! I always clean my great-grandmother's house with my family before noon. And then we played UNO after lunch. UNO is an extremely interesting table game. At first, I just played with my brothers and sisters because my aunts and uncles didn't understand how to play. When we had had fun and they had just seen for a while, we invited them to play together. Now, they play better and better than before! Next goal is let my grandparents accept our invitation. By the way, we enjoy a reunion dinner on this day. We ordered New Year dishes this year. They are flavorful,so perhaps next year we will also order them instead of cooking for ourselves.

Today is the first day of the Lunar New Year. Everyone will go out to another city with their family. When I was a child, our family went out on this day. As we get older, we don’t go to the tourist attractions because there are so many people. Therefore, we play mahjong at home. It’s been a long time since I've played mahjong. In the first round, I had four white boards. They should not discard, but I forgot the rule. When my father saw I discarded them, he laughed at me, and when my mother understood what happened, she also laughed at me! I self-draw won after about two hours. Mahjong is a really interesting table game!

Reasons Why Agricultural Land Becomes Less Productive.
This chart and this table present information about the causes of land degradation and this problem in three places in the 1990s.
Over-grazing is by far the biggest reason for less productive land, specifically, at 35%, in contrast to 30% of land degraded by deforestation and 28% caused by over-cultivation. And also, some low-productive lands are influenced by other factors without listing in this chart.
As shown in the table, the percentage of land degraded in Europe was the highest, with 23%, among which deforestation was attributed to nearly 10%, which was the priority reason in this area, compared with other two factors. The total figure for Oceania was much lower, at 13% in the 1990s. The data for over-grazing was distinct, almost taking up 90% of the total number, even though there was no data for over-cultivation in Oceania. Only 5% of land in North America was degraded, but its main cause was over-cultivation, which was different from the other places.
Overall, over-grazing is the primary factor, leading to degradable land while the number of degraded land in Europe was higher than in other regions in the 1990s, and the main contributor to land degradation was different in three regions.

31 janvier 2023 - l’observation - première partie
C’était la rentrée après les vacances de la nouvelle année chinoise, et pendant la pause déjeuner, je suis allée dans un cafe de l’université. Il y avait du monde mais je pouvais quand même trouver une place libre. Je me suis intallée près d’un groupe de quatre jeunes étudiants. Ils étaient en train de se bavarder en anglais, mais de leur accent, je croyais qu’ils viennaient de différents pays. La fille asian qui portait une rouge à lèvres très vive et s’habillait d’une chemise blanche me semblait d’avoir 18 ou 20 ans et de venir de la chine mais peut-être qu’elle a grandit aux États-Unis. Le garçon à côté de cette fille parlait anglais avec un accent français, italien ou espanol. Il était beau aussi : les cheveux rouleaux et noir, les yeux émouvants et le figure afiné. Je pensait qu’il était peut-être français ou italien. Il y avait aussi un autre garçon face à la fille, qui parlait anglais sans accent. Je ne voyais pas très bien son visage mais rien de spécial. Il avait des cheveux blondes. Le dernier, c’était aussi un homme portant du masque. (Il est encore obligatoire de mettre les masques en ce moment à Hong Kong.) En écoutant sa première phrase en anglais, son accent m’a confirmé qu’il était local. Ce groupe des étudiants avaient terminé leur repas, et semblait d’y passer une longue pause déjeuner.

The Spread of English
English has become more and more popular in today’s competitive world. I admit that the popularity of this language is definitely a positive trend, even though it poses a threat to the local language.
The widespread use of English is a great way to promote international cooperation between various companies located in different countries. There are a wide variety of languages in the whole world, which presents some challenges to cross-cultural communication between people having different backgrounds. At the same time, people are difficult to share their creative ideas, state-of-the-art skills, fresh thoughts and so on with potential foreign collaborators. Conversely, if people are all fluent in English, knowledge-sharing will be very easy to achieve, and thus some international projects will process smoother and quicker, which make a lot of money for two parties.
The growing popularity of English also allows people to be able to keep pace with contemporary worldwide development. Nowadays, English has become the widest language. Not only is it used by the largest number of people but also many primary worldwide news outlets, such as BBC and CNN, all choose English as their general language. Therefore, if people have a good command of English, they will get the latest current affairs from different countries, the most up-to-date research breakthroughs in various scientific fields, and stuff like that, which will definitely help people become a broad-minded person.
On the other hand, pushing forward the use of English has some negative influence, which will cause damage to the development of the local language, especially minority languages. Since almost these languages are likely to hand down from ancient times, so they usually contain their local characteristics and can be seen as a symbol of traditional culture. If people, especially the young, devote a lot of their available time to learning English, they will not pay much attention to their native language. As time goes by, the culture behind the mother tongue will be vague, leading to the risk of cognition of own identity.
In conclusion, I know that facilitating the spread of English is good for the work between multinational enterprises and individual development, but it also has an adverse effect on other languages.

Casi nos habíamos convencido que dejar la butaca sería mejor que llevarla con nosotros en la mudanza.
La pluma de vaho que emana de esa chimenea se ve más grande cuando hace frío, aunque no creo que estén haciendo nada diferente, más bien todo se debe al clima.
Si logran poner en práctica este nuevo método de detectar las malezas y solo aplicar el pesticida donde sea necesario, sería una victoria para todos menos los productores de pesticida.
Le salió un eructo más fuerte de lo que esperaba y solo entonces se dio cuenta de que todos lo estaban mirando.

Qui a tué mon pére
J'ai juste fini de lire mon premier livre en français. S'appelle "qui a tué mon père", l'auteur s'appelle Édouard Louis et ce livre parle de son enfance, sur toute la relation avec son père. Edouard est né et grandi en Normandie, son père était un homme traditionnel masculin qui a travaillé toute sa vie dans une usine. Maintenant, il a des problèmes graves de santé, de douleur dans son corps et il ne peut même plus aller voir la mer. Edouard pose la question, pour quoi est-ce que son père est malade comme ça ? Il donne la réponse en direct : c'est grâce à la politique pendant les dernières années qui a détérioré les conditions de vie pour la classe ouvrière en France.
Le livre m'a plu beaucoup. L'auteur écrit en une manière directe, il ne gaspille pas des temps où des mots parce qu'il sait ce qu'il veut dire. Il décrit son père sans trop de sentimentalité, mais avec tendresse. Même si le père parfois a fait d'injustice face à son fils, Édouard ne l'accuse jamais, il explique simplement pourquoi. Bref, le livre n'est pas seulement un manifeste politique, c'est aussi un livre psychologique qui décrit le process de comprendre, et pardonner, un parent.

Un giorno libero
Oggi ho del tempo libero quindi posso rilassarmi senza preoccupazioni.
In realtà non mi sento molto bene: ho bisogno di fare una pausa dallo studio un po'. A volte si sente stancante specialmente perché la vita accade.
In generale mi piace studiare ma ogni tanto devo prendere dei giorni per me stessa per sentire meglio.
Ovviamente scriverò nel diario ma in un modo più rilassante.
Non voglio che lo studio essere un'altra cosa che deve essere fatto.
Chissà, forse di pomeriggio potrò leggere qualcosa di leggero per imparare un nuovo vocabolario.

Two days ago, an avalanche occurred near Hakuba-Norikura Ski Resort in Nagano. Some people were caught in the avalanche. They were skiing off the ski course. Two of them died and one of them was an American who became the 2015 World Champion in freestyle skiing. He loved Japanese ski resorts. Avalanches are scary because even people like him can die.
2日前に長野県の白馬乗鞍スキー場で雪崩が起きました。数人が雪崩に巻き込まれました。彼らはスキー場のコース外を滑っていました。そのうち2人が亡くなり、1人は2015年にフリースタイルの世界チャンピオンになったアメリカ人です。彼は日本のスキー場を愛していたそうです。こんな人でも亡くなるので、雪崩は怖いですね。

Pensée positive
Mon amie est psychologue et elle conseille toujours à ses clients d’avoir des pensées positives. Les études montrent que penser positivement présenterait des bienfaits pour la santé mentale. Selon cet article que j’ai lu, l’une des techniques les plus encouragées est la méthode Coué, inventée par le psychologue et pharmacien français, Émile Coué. En papier, la technique semblait d’être très facile. Apparemment, elle se base sur l’idée de se répéter et se persuader que « tout va bien » et peu à peu on se sentirait plus positif. Très simple, oui ? J’ai des doutes à ce sujet et sur la facilité avec laquelle on peut le faire.
J’ai plus confiance d’autre technique que mon amie enseigne à ses clients. Elle leur apprend à se concentrer sur tous les aspects positifs d’une situation. Ensuite, on doit répéter ces aspects positifs dans son esprit. D’après elle, le cerveau n’est pas conditionné pour être négatif ou positif, mais avec ces répétions, on peut le programmer d’être plus positif.
Si cette technique ne fonctionne pas ou cela ne plait pas, j’admets qu’il existe un pléthore d’autres exercices qu’on peut faire. Il vaut la peine d’essayer ces exercises pour trouver l’un qui convient le mieux puisque les bienfaits sont énormes. Il est largement reconnu que les pensées positives améliorent la confiance et l’estime de soi.

Comment diminuer la violence contre les animaux ?
Beaucoup de gens aiment les animaux et décident de les élever dans la maison. En particulier, pendant la pandémie, pas peu de gens ont accueilli les nouveaux animaux de compagnie pour faire moins douloureuses les périodes de confinement. Beaucoup de gens considèrent leurs animaux comme partie de la famille, mais ce n’est pas toujours le cas. Selon un article que j’ai lu aujourd’hui, la violence contre les animaux domestiques en France augmente. En 2021, il y avait 12 000 infractions contre les animaux domestiques, une augmentation de 30% par rapport à 2016. La plupart de victimes étaient les chiens (46%) et les chats (24%), et les mis en cause pour les délits contre les animaux étaient, pour la plupart, des hommes (plus de 75%). Que faire ?
Selon l’article, depuis le. 1er octobre 2022, il faut qu’on signe un « certificat d’engagement et de connaissance » avant toute adoption des animaux, et une division spéciale était crée dans les forces de l’ordre pour combattre la maltraitance animale. Je crois que ces deux choses sont très bonnes, mais un peu plus d’éducation à propos de l’élevage des animaux peut être efficace. Beaucoup de gens qui décide soudainement d’adopter ou d’acheter un animal ne font pas assez de recherche avant de le faire, et comme résultat, ils trouvent qu’ils sont mal équipés pour prendre soin des animaux. Ça peut entraîner la violence et la négligence contre les animaux. Je ne sais pas comment on peut réaliser ce genre d’éducation, mais je crois néanmoins que si les gens passent plus de temps à apprendre des choses à propos de l’élevage des animaux, le nombre de cas de violence diminuera.

Meine Traume
Das letzes Traum, an den ich mich erinnern kann war ein Traum, in dem ich einen Prüfung bestehte. Zumindest, versuchte ich, es zu bestehen. In die Mitte habe ich gemerkt, dass ich ein Skafander an hatte und war von Chinesischen studenten umgegeben. Sie können sich vorstellen, was dann passiert war.

アーティストを紹介
最近は大体の私の投稿は作品や芸術家をお勧めるようになってきたみたいだね。
とにかく、今日紹介したい音楽アーティストは「ザ・クリプス」"Clipse"というラップデュオだ。正直に言って、聴き始めた時から三、四週間ぐらいだけ経ったが、もう大好きになっちゃた。私がザ・クリプスを見つけた気かっけは彼らのプロデューサだった。プロデューサは有名な音楽家のファレル・ウイリアムスが属する「ザ・ネプチューンズ」"The Neptunes"というデュオで、私はここ数年彼らの音楽が気に入っていた。二年前は他のプロデューサしてあげたアーティストの「ケリス」"Kelis"は好きな歌手になった。
ザ・クリプスが四つのアルバムを作ったけど、まだ二つしか聞かなかった。一つ目は
"Lord Willin'"で、二つ目は"Hell Hath No Fury"だ。好きな曲をちょっと紹介してみたいと思う。
「あの人を愛してない」"Ma, I don't love her"
この曲では、話し手が彼の彼女に話し合っていて、浮気してないと説得してみている話だ。このような話題は私にとってすごくおもろくて、この曲の歌詞はすごく楽しくてユーモアがある。その上、歌詞を無視しても音楽がとても軽くていい感じを与える。
「久しぶりだね」"When the Last Time"
これはパーティーに向かって曲だそうだ。複雑な音楽の筋が混んじゃってすごい雰囲気を作る。聞くたびに、音楽が踊りたくならせる。
