Being able to speak a foreign language is an advantage these days. Some people think that children should start learning a foreign language at primary school, while others think children should begin in secondary school.

My answer:
Some individuals advocate introducing second language learning at the secondary level, while others, including myself, argue for an earlier introduction at the beginning of formal education, as the potential benefits can outweigh the drawbacks.
On the one hand, delaying second language learning until secondary school appears justified by the challenges early exposure can pose. Younger children are still developing their mother tongue, so learning two languages concurrently can lead to confusion and difficulties in distinguishing between the linguistic aspects of each language, impeding the development of both languages. Furthermore, primary education is crucial for establishing a solid foundation in key subjects such as mathematics and science. Adding another subject, a foreign language, may divert time and resources away from building this foundation, negatively affecting students' overall academic performance and future scholastic achievement.
On the other hand, it can also significantly benefit both younger students and their countries. It provides them with an extended timeframe to practice and develop their second language. Besides, their developing brains are highly receptive to absorbing new linguistic patterns, pronunciation, and vocabulary, further maximizing their chances of achieving advanced proficiency in the language before entering the workforce. This will grant them a competitive advantage in the global job market and expand their career opportunities, particularly in fields such as international business and tourism. —Hola, Jorge. ¿Qué tal?—le saludó Andreu.
—Estoy bien—le respondió mientras sonríe—cuando se termina de trabajar se siente feliz. Cada vez es así.
—Afortunadamente, no hay manera de evitarlo—apuntó Andreu y señalando al asiento a su izquierda de la camioneta, añadió—sube.
Mientras Jorge sube al asiento, Andreu hojeaba las emisoras de radio y encontró un temazo muy pegadizo.
—Oye, ¡me encanta esa canción!—dijo Jorge y se puso a tararear con la voz riquísima del cantador.
—¡Que te calles!—gritó Andreu, bien molestado—es que no puedo oírla.
—Lo siento, tío, pero tú estás como un gruñón. Tranquilízate un poco, hombre, solo estaba cantando.
—Vale, tienes sentido. Pero cuando emites ese sonido, me parece un poco más como un zumbido que un suave gorjeo de un pájaro.
—Y tú, no es que tú seas un buen cantador, ni en absolu...—y dándose cuenta de la nueva ropa que Andreu llevó puesto, cambió de tema—Oye, pero ¿de dónde has encontrado ese chándal? Me parece que te queda muy bien.
Fijándose en la manga de Andreu, rozó la tela lisa con los dedos.
—¿Qué estás haciendo? Es simple un chándal cómodo.
—Pero, ¿dónde has encontrado? ¿Lo has comprado, verdad?
—No, he tenido este por…pues, no sé, pero por mucho tiempo.
—¿Conque no lo has comprado?
—No.
—Pero, nunca te he visto llevándolo, seguro que has encontrado en algún lugar.
—No sé, es que, cuando me desperté, este estuvo puesto en mi galán de noche.
—¿Galán de noche?—Jorge soltó una carcajada—¿Tú?...no, ¿para qué tienes ese? ¿Cuándo necesitas un galán de noche? Tú ganas la vida como un labrador…y a mí, gano la vida como un plomero—empezó a desternillarse de risa, pero logró calmarse, y agregó—además, creo que no tienes ni un solo traje.
—¡Cállate! No he pedido esta burla—y apagó el radio.
—Pero yo he pensado que estabas intentando escuchar eso. ¿Qué pasó?...—y no oyendo una respuesta, Jorge añadió—Tú estás de mal humor. Todos los días. Pues, anímate, que no estaba intentando burlarme de tí, sólo te estaba molestando un poco, por diversión.
—Pues, no tiene gracia.
Un silencio se apoderó de la camioneta, y ambos dejaron salir un suspiro profundo.
—Bueno, pues, véndemelo—exigió Jorge.
—¡Ni de coña!
—Véndemelo ahora mismo—exigió una vez más.
—¡Ni hablar! Además eras tú quien me ha dicho que me queda bien. Así que, ¿por qué te lo vendería?
—Pero, nunca lo has llevado puesto, por lo tanto, nunca lo has apreciado. Pero, yo, sí me lo he apreciado muchísimo porque he visto la belleza en ese, en ese chándal—y acarició el chándal de Andreu.
—De acuerdo, vale. Pero dejate de tocarme.
—Estoy tocando el chándal, no a tí.
Con mucha ira, Andreu paró la camioneta de repente, desabrochó el cinturón de seguridad, y empezó a tirar del chándal con violencia en un intento de quitártelo.
—Calmáte, he dicho vendérmelo, no quitártelo—aseguró Jorge.
—¿Quieres él, o no?—dijo Andreu, enfadado, y con la chaqueta del chándal quitado, lo alargó sujetado en la mano, y pronunció—toma.
Jorge recibió la chaqueta con alegría. Pero, con un suspiro, frunciendo el ceño, dijo—Bueno, pero no es un chándal si sólo tengo la chaqueta, es como si fuera a recibir una paella sin arroz, tío.
—Así que, ¿quieres que me desnude totalmente?
—Claro…pues, hace falta un arroz, ¿sabes?
Andreu se desnudó completamente, y le dio los pantalones a Jorge—¿Feliz?
—Por supuesto—apuntó, y vacilando como si fuera decepcionado—bueno, es que, no me he fijado en los pantalones, ya que estaba debajo del volante, y, pues, no sé cómo decir esto, pero…
—Adelante caballero valiente.
—Es que, no tengo ganas de llevarlos puestos, lo siento, pero no creo que este chándal sea para mí.
Y, Andreu, por haber estado tan molesto y enfadado ante la obstinación de su amigo, de golpe, sufrió un ictus sin parangón y murió.

Sta arrivando il weekend!
Siamo appena ritornati da una passeggiata - è stato tranquillo e divertente. Abbiamo voluto portare 13 fuori. Il piccoletto aspetta sempre questi momenti.
Sono gioiosa di finire un'altra settimana lavorativa. Finalmente posso godermi il weekend.
Preferiamo uscire di casa di notte con 13 ( quando lavoro di sera ) invece che di mattina. Non ci sono molte persone. Sono riusciuta a trovare un posto tranquillo per 13, non gli piace quando si fa rumore e si spaventa.
Non starnutisco più, sto meglio - penso che non abbia il raffreddore. Non mi piace quando sono malata. Mi sento debole, passo il tempo nel letto e leggo libri horror. Hmm, in realtà suonerebbe eccelente.
Lo dico di nuovo - sono stanchissima, ma felice perché ho già fatto seimila passi e sono già le due di notte.
Non vedo l'ora di vedere la mia amica che viva in Danimarca. Non la vedo da cinque anni! Viene a trovarmi e anche per il matrimonio di un amico.
Vado a rilassarmi un po', a domani!

後悔しているということではないですが、それでも
今日授業中に先生はやや気軽に、自分達の文学を専攻していることに対しての考え方は最初勉強を始めたころからが少しでも変わったかどうかと尋ねました。何人かは, 文学専攻がどのようなことを提供し、何が期待すべきかもう知っていたために、変わっていないと答えましたが、私はすぐに、それがもっと簡単で楽しいことであると期待していたことを思い出しました。入学したこと自体を後悔しているということではないです。実際、他のやってみたい進路の選択があっても、選べばよかったと思わせるような他の専攻を思い浮かべません。ただ、プロになるために文学を勉強することは、全然違う読み方、好奇心から来るのではなく、強制的な、その結果として唯一の得られるものは緻密な仕事を終わる時の快感でしかない読み方をすることとなり、また、自分は共感できない曖昧なつかみどころがない社会貢献をする技術を目指すようになるという意味を持っているのは悔しいです。

The letter for my teachers
(I'm writing a letter for my two Extra English teachers. I'm learning English in a language school, there are 2 different English teachers and they are sisters, I started my courses with the first teacher and now I'm the second one's student. As it's my last course here, I wanted to write one letter for them two. If you have any ideas, you can suggest it)
Dear Mrs White and Mrs Brown,
Languages have always been a passion of mine. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been fascinated by the way words can be strung together to create meaning, and how different languages can express the same idea in so many different ways.
My love for languages was further fueled by you two, the most inspiring teachers I've ever had, who inspired me to pursue my dreams. As my last course here comes to an end, I wanted to express all my gratitude for all you have done for me. When I first started my journey into the world of English, I was intimidated by the language. It seemed to be so challenging to master. But you made it feel like I could learn English, and that confidence gave me the motivation.
You always were passionated about sharing that love with your students. Every lesson, you would come into class with a smile on your face, eager to teach us something new. Your energy was contagious, and it inspired me to work harder and learn more. Your patience was also crucial to my success. You never made me feel stupid or embarrassed for making mistakes. Instead, you encouraged me to keep trying and you have tought me to appreciate the beauty of language. Your dedication to your students is truly admirable, and I feel very lucky to have you as my teachers.
As I prepare to move on to the next chapter of my life, I will always remember the lessons you two have taught me. I will never forget your kindness, patience, and your love to your job. I will miss you dearly, and I hope one day I will come back here to start a new language. Thank you for everything you have done for me, and for being such unique teachers. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, and I hope you will continue to inspire students for many years to come.

Escuela de Idioma
Yo decidí a aprender un idioma en 2021 por que mi esposo completó un corso de tecnología para cambiar su carera solo en 6 meses (un software bootcamp). Me di cuenta que si hay programas como este probablemente los hay similares para aprender idiomas. Entonces, busqué y encontré programs en todo el mundo. Yo uno escogí en Puerto Rico porque tengo familia puertorriqueña y no tenía mi pasaporte en 2021 todavía, jajaja. Pues, mi esposo y yo visitamos a Puerto Rico la primera vez por 3 semanas y tomamos clases de Español. Ahora tengo un nivel más avanzado pero tengo que practicar mi escrito todavía. Continuo a tomar clases en la misma escuela a veces y más recientament tomé clases por 14 semanas. Voy a tomar clases de nuevo pronto porque quisiera asistir una universidad de derecho en Puerto Rio en el otoño.

Alergias
Durante mi adolescencia, pasó un tiempo en que tuve reacciones alérgicas inesperadas a diferentes tipos de comida. Por ejemplo, una vez comí una caja entera de fresas, y el próximo tenía un sarpullido por el cuerpo. Tenía la piel roja y tan caliente que cuando posé la mano a unos 30 cm de mi pierna, podía sentir el calor radiando de mi mismo.
Otra vez, cuando tenía 17 años, tomé una pastilla antibiótica y tuve una reacción más grave. La lengua y garganta se hincharon y fui al médico para ver si estaba bien. El médico me aconsejó que no tuviera nunca más la penicilina.
Hoy en día, soy adulto, mis hormonas son más estables y no tengo ningunas reacciones alérgicas. Me siento muy bendecida que no tenga que aguantar las alergias que tienen mis amigos y parientes.

describing my morning and afternoon routine in french
Le matin, je me suis levée et je suis allé aux toilettes. Je me suis brossé les dents et je me suis lavé le visage. Mes parents dormaient encore, donc, j'ai fait le petit déjeuner en faisant des pancakes. En mangeant des pancakes, j'ai lu mon livre préféré. Après ça, je me suis habillée et j'ai sorti ma maison pour aller à l'école.
L'après-midi, je suis rentrée chez moi. J'ai pris une douche et ensuite, j'ai fait mes devoirs. Quand j'ai fini tout mon travail, je jouais avec mon chien dans le parc. Ensuite, j'ai rencontré avec ma famille au centre commercial pour prendre le dîner.

Une chienne d’un refuge
Brandy dont j’ai parlé dans un journal précédent, est décédée : ça fait un mois. Brandy était une chienne aimée de tous. Sa propriétaire, ma voisine était dévastée. La semaine dernière je l’ai vue dans son jardin et je lui ai parlé de l’autre côté de la clôture. Brandy lui manque mais elle a accepté sa mort. Il me semblait que ma voisine avait l’air un peu plus joyeuse.
Elle m’a dit qu’il y avait un grand vide dans sa vie car Brandy a fait partie de la famille pendant 12 ans. Alors, elle a décidé d’adopter une autre chienne. Elle est allée dans un refuge pour des animaux. Elle était débordée par le nombre des animaux sans-abri : des chats, des chiens et des lapins de toutes sortes, de toutes couleurs.
Un article que j’ai lu récemment a noté que pendant la pandémie beaucoup de personnes ont adoptées des animaux de compagnie. À cause du confinement, on était à la maison, on a fait de télétravail et pleine de personnes se sont senties isolées. La camaraderie au bureau leur manquait. Hélas, désormais, de nombreuses personnes sont retournées au bureau et ils ont abandonné leurs animaux de compagnie : les gens sont très irresponsables. Quelle triste histoire !

Fais les choses plus malin que plus difficile
Justement parce qu'on travaillé plus signifie pas d'avoir plus du succès. C'est vrai que la travaille dur est souvent nécessaire pour attirer ses objetifs mais il y a une difference entre travaille dur parce qu'il le faut et travaille dur sans réfléchir. Par exemple quand on apprend quelque chose il y a plein de moyen de maîtriser quelque chose nouveau. Quelques moyens marchent mieux qu'autres pour certains gens pourtant il y a de personnes qui regardent justement combien de temps ils ont sacrifié pour cette activité. Alors que temps à rien avoir avec ceci, comment on s'améliore c'est toujours une question de concentration, efficiente et discipline. La majorité du temps c'est préférable de apprendre d'une facon très concentré pour peu de temps au quotidien que d'apprendre avec peu de concentraion pour longtemps.

Un traduction de paroles - «Le vent soupire»
Cette chanson vient d'un roman chinois qui sera bientôt adapté en télévision. Dans le roman, l'empereur de Chine envahit le territoire de tribus nomades, et ses massacre avec des soldats. Alors, la prince survivante de nomades (qui est une fille déguisé en vêtements masculines) jure de venger sa nation et sa famille.
À mon avis, « Le vent soupire », qui est ecris par l'auteur de roman original, a des paroles vraiment superbes. Elles reflétent la tragédie de circonstances de la prince, et elles sont telle poétiques !

It's not like I regret it, but still
Today the teacher asked us in class, rather casually, if our perspective on majoring in literature had changed at all since we first started. Some of my classmates said that it hadn't in the sense that they already kind of knew what it had to offer and what to expect, but I immediately thought of how much easier and fun I was expecting it to be. I don't necessarily mean I regret enrolling in it, in fact, I can't really think of any other major I would've wanted to choose, even though I do have some other career possibilities I would want to explore; it's just that I found it quite frustrating to realize that studying literature to become a professional means reading in a completely different way, not out of spontaneous curiosity, but mandatorily, the only pleasure in that being the satisfaction following the completion of a meticulous task, and also aiming to master a skill that renders a rather ambiguous and ethereal service to society I can't really feel I resonate with.

How He Was Disabled (1)
In the previous entry, I wrote about one of my classmates in junior high school. Today, I am going to tell you how he became disabled. I don't believe you can imagine it until I describe it to you
Around 1988, we were 14 years olds, in either grade 8 or 9. My classmate was a naughty boy, and his father was a Chinese teacher with a high rank at the same school. He has grown up in the shadow of his beloved father and was the only son in his family like most other peers.
There was a fire station near my school. Every weekend, some soldiers would take an exercise at a terraced mound beside my school. In China, firefighters belong to the army system, we call them the armed police force, and they are stationed in cities.
One weekend in the afternoon, a group of soldiers about 15 carried out their regular exercises as usual on the terraced mound. When they lined up on a small playground, all the soldiers stepped in unison following their captain's orders: "one, two, three..."
My classmate with other three peers were playing nearby. He mimicked the captain and shouted out loudly to the soldiers "turn left!", "turn right!", and "attention!"
In most cases, the soldiers would ignore a naughty boy's words at the moment. That was not as usual, however, this was an unforgotten day for many families.
