When I Go to a Friend’s House 友達のうちに行く

I guess it’s not just me, but I always get butterflies in my stomach when I go to a friend’s house for the first time.
I’m planning to bring a little snack — just to be a polite guest.
Apparently, some other people will be there too, so I hope I can get along with everyone.
I’ve noticed I tend to talk a lot about myself in these situations, more than other people do, and I usually end up regretting it.
Not sure if I’m putting this clearly, but… You know what I mean?

I’m always planning to bring a little snack — just to be a polite guest. I always plan to bring a little snack — just to be a polite guest.

This makes it seem like you're getting ready to visit right at this very moment. "I'm planning" sounds like something you're doing in the moment.

“I’m planning on bringing a little snack” also works!

“you know what I mean?” is pretty casual. I think “do you know what I mean?” matches the rest of your writing!

I guess it’s notdon't think it's just me, but I always get butterflies in my stomach when I go to a friend’s house for the first time. I don't think it's just me, but I always get butterflies in my stomach when I go to a friend’s house for the first time.

Just a little fyi: "butterflies in my stomach" DOES mean just being nervous, but it's often used in a romantic context, at least in the US. It's not wrong, but just for future reference!

I guessthink it’s not just me, but I always get butterflies in my stomach when I go to a friend’s house for the first time. I think it’s not just me, but I always get butterflies in my stomach when I go to a friend’s house for the first time.

“I guess” is generally used to be more dismissive, so “think” is more natural here. Even more natural: “I don’t think it’s just me, but ….” “butterflies in my stomach” does mean nervous, but it is usually romantic. “nervous” is a better choice!
