"u" works very well as a shortening of "you" in very informal writing, but if you wish to be formal, you would want to use "you". After "for", the infinitive form (to ______) of a verb sounds odd. We would instead use the progressive form (______ing). So, "Thank you so much for READING..." works, but "give" should also be progressive: "...and TO GIVE me tips..." should be "...and GIVING me tips..." Also, "I" is always capitalized when it is by itself. At least, in formally written English. "I hope to continue for a long time" isn't completely wrong, but I would personally specify what exactly is being continued. In this case, "being here".
