The company that I work for was acquired. The company that I work for was acquired.

I don't know if it's actually better, but I would use "got acquired" here

I agree with camelspinball that "The company that I work for got acquired." is probably a bit more common and sounds more conversational, but I think both are correct.

Many executives have been fired, and everyone is worried about the future.

My bosses are waiting for the ultimatum to know who stays or go in September I've been creating tools to automate some tasks, I don't know if I should show them to the manager.

My bosses are waiting for the ultimatum to know who stays and whor goes in September. I've been creating tools to automate some tasks, I don't know if I should show them to the manager. My bosses are waiting for the ultimatum to know who stays and who goes in September. I've been creating tools to automate some tasks, I don't know if I should show them to the manager.

"ultimatum" doesn't seem quite right here, but it may be intended. Usually "ultimatum" would imply that one party is making demands on the other, the rejection of which would result in retaliation. Since this is an acquisition, the terms of the purchase have essentially already been settled. So even a sentence like "My bosses are waiting to find out who stays and who goes in September" works here.

My bosses are waiting for the ultimatum to know who stays or go in September. I've been creating tools to automate some tasks, but I don't know if I should show them to the manager. My bosses are waiting for the ultimatum to know who stays or go in September. I've been creating tools to automate some tasks, but I don't know if I should show them to the manager.

you could also use "and" here easily, but something would be needed to join these two independent clauses I added a period to separate the main thoughts being expressed: 1. bosses are waiting and 2. automation tools

My bosses are waiting for the ultimatum to know who stays and whor goes in September. I've been creating tools to automate some tasks, but I don't know if I should show them to the manager. My bosses are waiting for the ultimatum to know who stays and who goes in September. I've been creating tools to automate some tasks, but I don't know if I should show them to the manager.
