The Pantheon (1/2)

After the breakfast, we went to the Pantheon. We hadn't booked any tickets in advance and decided to come just about the opening hour, at 9 am. There were three long lines on the piazza in front of it, and they looked quite intimidating. Surprisingly, the line to the ticket office was shorter than the line for people who have made an online reservation. Moreover, our line was moving much faster! In five minutes, we were already inside the Pantheon. There, you could see some interesting machines flanking the walls. If you insert two euros in one of them, you will get to watch a couple of videos about the Pantheon's history and architecure.

After the breakfast, we went to the Pantheon.

We don't use "the" with breakfast (or lunch or dinner for that matter) unless referring to a specific breakfast. Since this is your first mention of the breakfast, you can either use no article or "a." Usually I only see "a" used if there are other descriptors involved, such as "After a quick breakfast." (in which case saying "After quick breakfast" sounds strange, as though "quick breakfast" is some universally established concept)

I thought that might be the case, so (somewhat embarrassingly) I looked at your previous posts, but I didn't see any breakfast mentioned... >_< My pleasure, Lerner. Oh darn... I do want to see the Pantheon though, that massive dome and the method of its construction has always fascinated me!
