Social responsibility is never simply a slogan, or a propaganda to promote more sales for a corporate company. It is the social benefit a company is obliged to take care of from time to time. To some extent, it might give some burden to the corporate company and even slow down the work efficiency, but the advantages of it far outweighs its disadvantages. One significant advantage is that it promotes a high-quality of life for customers. Take bus companies as an example. They could certainly utilize dirt cheap fossil fuel for the buses, but the hazardous chemicals emitted from buses would harm pedestrians' health. What's worse is that it pollutes the environment, and worst of all it deteriorates its brand and goodwill. The business benefit is not solely enjoyed by the company itself but the public in general.
