The way this website works is new for me

I'm writing my fifth post here. This website is not the first one I've used to give and receive corrections for our writing in a foreign language but the system that is used here to balance the trade of corrections between users is new for me.

If I've understood well, I can't post a new text if I haven't corrected at least half of the quantity of corrections I've received so far. That's why we all are bond to correct posts that have already been corrected. That's why we generally receive more than one correction for the same post. And I must confess that I really appreciate that. It's really interesting to compare the different corrections and read the different comments. When the correcters all agree about something, reading several times the same correction with the same comment but phrased differently helps a lot to understand and remember it. When they don't agree, I mean when someone corrects a thing that was not corrected by another one, I deduce that the mistake is less important. In short, the grade of similarity between the different corrections give a clue about the grade of importance of the mistake and helps to memorize it.

The other side of the coin is that you need to correct a certain quantity of posts so that you can post your own. So if you want to challenge yourself with a streak, don't start writing at 23:30 because you might ¿discover/find out? that you first need to correct thirty sentences before you can write your own text!

"trade" feels slightly odd here, I'll be honest, I am not totally sure why. I think perhaps, outside of a commercial transaction ("I traded my iPhone for an Android") it has kind of negative connotations ("they traded blows for a while before the police arrived").

Nothing strictly wrong with "I must confess", but it feels a little bit inappropriate in this context, because usually it is used for something you are not proud of. For example: "I am glad you like my text, but I must confess, I copied the whole thing from my friend." Perhaps you could say: "And I have to say, I really appreciate that."
