Demon Slayer (129)

I might have written about Demon Slayer before, but I'd like to write about it again.

First, I started watching the anime Demon Slayer on Netflix about two years ago.

At the time, I wasn't into it at all, and when I watched until around episode 6, I asked my friend "When does the story get interesting?"

My friend said "If you haven't found it interesting, then it's just not for you."

So I dropped it.

However, around six months ago, I started watching it again because it's been really popular, it made me curious.

(1) With a direct quote from someone, you should put a comma between the phrase mentioning the speaker and the speech itself. (2) There's nothing really grammatically wrong with "when I had watched until around episode 6", but a more natural sounding way to convey the idea would be to say "when I was around 6 episodes in..."

This "first," at the sentence leads people to expect you're going to enumerate points. It's sort of more like まず. Using first as an adverb is more like 初めて
