The probrem of Japanese sightseeing industry

Today, I listened a lecture about probrems of Japanese sightseeing industory. One of the big probrems is that how we can attract more toursists to Tohoku, which currently relatively few visitors. The lecturar explained that the current trend of sightseeing is to have unique and high quality experiences you can only have there. For example, doing Japanese sake tasting, creating traditional artworks, staying at Japanese-style luxury houses, and visiting places associated to certain anime/manga. So, he said, even the areas that do not have pretty famous tourist spots like Kiyomizudera, Asakusa and Mt.Fuji, also have a chance to attract the tourists. Also, It is a good idea to promote these non-famous areas as a "second visit destination". This means the promotion for the tourists, especially foreign tourists, who have been to Japan once to introduce rural region like Tohoku as the place to go when they visit Japan next time.
I don't believe it will go smoothly, but I hope more people will visit various places in Japan.

これらの計画が簡単にいくとは思いませんが、人々が日本の様々な場所に訪れるようになると嬉しいと思います。
