Flowers in Mountains
I went hiking again this Saturday.
This time, my friends and I ventured a bit too far off the beaten path. We ended up lost at the summit for a while. Luckily, after pushing through some dense patches of thorns, we finally found our way down to a small village.
Also, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. A variety of beautiful wildflowers were blooming along the thorny way.

Believe me, these are not the most beautiful ones. The most stunning scenery was exactly where the trail was toughest to navigate. Sadly, I had to focus on safety in those tricky spots and couldn't pull out my phone to record.
Even though I was being careful, I still took a hard fall on my right side. Nothing serious. Thankfully, my daily yoga balance practice saved me!
Because of this adventure, I felt a little tired yesterday and didn't have the energy to narrate the video.
Hope you can still feel the vibe I was excited for.

I wonder if the track you followed was made by a person, or could it have been made by animals? Sometimes I have trouble telling the difference while I’m in the mountains, but when a track simply disappears, I suspect it was made by deer or other large animals.
I’m glad you’re OK and had a good adventure. The flowers in the video are beautiful.

We followed the track made by a person. But I think it was made a long time ago, maybe more than half a year. You know, spring is coming, so many new plants are just growing along the track.

This may be a cultural difference or personal preference, so I can't generalize about other native English speakers on this point; but for me, "sadly" carries too much emotion for this sentence. I use it and hear it used for situations that are more extreme, such as a great loss. In this situation, I would use "unfortunately," but I know that fortune and misfortune have different associations in our cultures.
