Writing Challenge, Day 198
Today is day 198 of my daily English writing challenge.
Today I wanted to write some sentences becuause I want to know if I understand your corrections.
- When I coame back home , my mother was steaming couscous.
This should be past tense but the "came back home" part is perfect.
In this sentence I don't need to putuse the preposition " at.
Correct because you're already home so there's no movement or directional change.
"
- I have beenhad a problem ofwith the internet sincefor three months.
"I have had a problem" → In the US, we always talk about "having problems."
"... for three months" because it's describing a definite period of time.
Or,
I have had a problem ofwith the internet aroundfor about three months.
This is more natural in the US.
- I sendt and eamail to a friend that I toldo tell her that we can meet over Skype the next week.
We don't really use articles before "next [time period]."
