When was the last time you wrote a long text on paper? I've had to write about my thoughts for 5 minutes in school. I hadn't written a long text for years, and it showed. My wrist hurt. This technique described as "Freewriting” is told to be against blockades, which means not knowing what to write.

As for learning English, I suggest that after you feel confident that you know most of the common words, you should try to find media that you like and that's not too advanced for you. Try to read and listen as much as you can in English, and eventually you will learn the patterns that frequently come up. Using that technique along with using a textbook for learning grammar rules can be a good way to learn a language.
