A Fuchsia in a Flower Shop

I passed by a flower shop on Sunday after having a spa. A pot of fuchsia caught my eye.

As you may know, I have a fuchsia in my balcony garden. But this one in the flower shop was way fancier than mine. It seemed like having an extra layer between the petals.

I don't think I described it clearly. You can find the contrast in this video: https://youtube.com/shorts/d-VQy0epzLQ?si=iPQ1OPNsSrOQmxuJ

How would you English native speakers describe the difference between the fancy fuchsia and mine?

As always, if I made any mistakes in that video, please let me know.

Thank you!

I would say "It had a double layer of petals." I looked it up. I like "double" because it is a more specific description; you can visualize two layers or twice the amount.

It made me laugh too! I heard an added ending vowel in two places "they look like-ah" & "just-ah the way it is." The first sentence is in the past tense. It says that you passed the shop. I think the second sentence should also be in the past tense because that is when you saw the plant. It makes sense to switch to the present tense in the third sentence when you begin to describe the flowers in the image we are looking at. Overall, a great video to watch and listen to!

“Having a spa” sounds odd to me, but I suspect it might sound fine to someone who does that sort of activity.
