Winter solstice
Winter solstice is one of 24 solar terms. It is the 22nd solar term.The sun rises low on this day.And the night is longer than the night.It will become more and more cold after the winter solstice.In the north,Chinese have a custom about eating dumplings.Elders could say that you should eat some dumplings for not freezing your ears off when I was a kid.It also is a day of reunion.All families can eat dumplings together. I eat some dumplings stuffed with pork and leek.It is very delicious.
