Will Sweat Be Good for Eyes?

As it's in the summer times. In recent days, a lot of sweat has streamed into my eyes, triggering stinging sensations. It's common knowledge that there are water, salt and other minerals in the sweat. I guess the feeling of irritation is caused by salt from it, so I am presuming that sweat might possess the medicinal property of disinfecting.

I am hoping I am right.
