Thank you very much for the careful correction.

Who is your favorite artists?

Alternative: Who are your favorite artists?
Your original is asking for one singular, and the alternative is open to multiple.

My favorite artist is Guy Dessapt.

He has painted amazing oil paintings.

The first time I encountered his art iwas when I was 14, and since then I've been a fan of his arts.

Speaking about the past, "was."

"Art" usually lacks an "s" even when we are speaking about art in a plural sense; basically like a unitary collection of art (e.g., paintings). We often use the word "piece" to break it down into countable units, e.g., "... there are many pieces of art here."

The exception that comes to mind is when you are speaking of different arts together, as in different creative crafts (writing, music, painting, sculpting) - those would be described as "arts" with the S.

He is the one of reason I started to oil paint, and I would like to paint magnificent works like his arts.

Feedback

Great job. I'm not cultured enough to have a favorite artist. But I would say my favorite artists are my sisters; they both love to draw and I'm proud of them.

It's difficult to distinguish between plural and singular forms.
