Your usage of "guess" wasn't necessarily wrong, but nowadays I feel like it's more often used like "Apparently, ..." especially when surprised or admitting to something hesitantly.

This isn't a grammatical change, but it's the entire test environment they'd oversee, if anything. Generally, devops is the position that assists developers in creating automations, maintaining servers, testing environments, and oversee the sustainability of the project. This sounds more like Test Engineer to me.
