What I Am Thinking When I Am Writing (in Langcorrect)

I have written 33 entries in langcorrect since I rigistered. And I nearly write an entry every day in July. It surprises me a lot because I never think that I can persist so long.
At the begining, I usually had no idea to pick a topic. When I was writing some chores in Chinese online, I got the idea that I can write them in English in this platform. Although my English is so poor, I can try to start with simple sentence. What the most important thing is keep writing. Only if you begin to write, you will know your destination of learning English.
I saw a tag in Chinese which is "300 words of everyday writing practise" (每日三百字写作练习) in a platform. I followed the tag for a few days but I had been so annoyed when I was writing. So I gave up soon. But now, I am following the tag in English instead and I am happy and full of anticipation when I am writing. I know that there is someone will read my entry and make correction. I like the interaction which is similar to you make a wish and send it into a drift bottle, then you throw it in the see, you never know who will answer you but you know you will get a reply. It is so warm. I love the platform. I love all the people in it.

When I was writing somea list of chores in Chinese online, I got the idea that I canould write them in English in this platform.

The reason I use "chores" is I think it also means "unimportant and little stuff".

I probably should've explained "chores" a little more when I suggested it :) It specifically means household tasks that are boring and probably don't really feel like accomplishments. Laundry, washing dishes, tidying things up, vacuuming. So it does sort of mean trivial, but it means trivial in a specific way.

Here I would've said "writing about trivial things", "writing about mundane things", "writing about random things" - something like that. Depending on exactly which shade of meaning you wanted to express.

I liked this journal a lot! The message in a bottle simile is very sweet :)

Thanks. Once I use "trivia" to describe something trivial, someone correted it with "chores", so I use chores this time. Can I use trivia here?

Yeah, that was me! That's why I said I should've explained it better. You can use trivia here, but I'd prefer "trivial things" - in normal usage, when people say "trivia" on its own, often they mean "various unimportant facts that are useful to know when you are playing general knowledge games". Like you go to a bar and it's quiz night, they ask questions like "What is the capital of Indonesia?" "What year did King Charles I die?" "How many squares are there on a chessboard?"

If you know lots of random things like that, you can answer the questions correctly and you get a prize and people say "Wow! You really know your trivia." If you say "writing about trivia", it might sound like you mean things that are related to quizzes like that.

OK, I got it. It sounds fun. And the words "trivia" and "trivial" looks so similar but totally have different meanings.
