What do I prefer to do alone?

I enjoy reading, exercising, and gardening alone. When I do these things, it feels like meditation, peaceful and happy.

I also love chatting with friends. It's always fun to exchange ideas and opinions with someone you're comfortable with.

When I do these things, itI feels like I’m meditation,ng. It makes me peaceful and happy.

This is one suggestion. The other one saying “it feels meditative” also works. Depends on what you’re trying to say (do these activities make you enter a meditative state of mind or do you want to compare them to the actual act of meditation). Hope this makes sense

@winter_night_skies @Tammy
If one changes "meditation" to "meditative," one would also have to delete "like" because there is no longer a comparison.
I think the sentence works with either word, but the original is a comparison, and the alternative is a series of adjectives.
