I talked to my mother for an hour before I went to bed.
She told me some interesting things.
The value of happiness has quite changed from 30, 50 or 70 years ago.
Old people were said that they became finally adults when they married and had their own children.
Nowadays, it’s whole different.
Marriage is not always the happiest thing, and also there are couples who can’t have their children, or who choose not to have children.
Forcing grown-up children to marry someone has no meaning.
Do getting marry, and having their children make their parents happy?
If so, it’s only their parents’ egoistic.
If parents truly hope their children’s happinesses, they should respect what their children choose.
I listened to her carefully and she said,
“These are all you said when you’re young. I told them to one of my friends today, and she got surprised at these thoughts.”
I was so surprised that my mother remembered what I said and accepted it.
Also, I totally forgot that I told her such things!
My thoughts have not changed at all even though I got married and have my own child.
What brings you happiness in your life?
