[note: I'm going through "Roadmap B1" student's book and there's a writing task, which suggests to write a guide to my own town/city. But this summer I've visited Bolgar, a town three hours away from Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, and decided to write a guide about this town. Feel free to correct me :)]

If you decided to visit Bolgar, first you need to arrive to Kazan, and then there are several options how to get there: by car, from the Kazan river port by tourist boat or high-speed river vessels (mainly in summer), by regular buses from Kazan.
There are lots of historic monuments located in the different parts of complex, approxiamtely fourty of them. If you don't know where to start, go to the tourist information centre, where you can get a map and recieve an advice from the local workers.
