I can understand you mean "watching TV and movies" but you should always be explicit at the start of a paragraph.

I agree. Watching native content can help your ears get used to the sounds. It also feels really good when you hear someone say something you recognize in your target language. However, I think just mindlessly watching stuff with subtitles on doesn't do much to improve your skills.. you need to really actively study and revise anything new that you learn.
