Volunteering Job

What volunteering job would you like to do? And why?
I would like to take part in a dog rescue center. During my life I have owned two dogs, so I have experience treating and looking after them. Dogs always have been really important to me; for me, they are a kind of life companion. Sharing my life with them has made me to grow so much, both personally and mentally. I will always cherish all of the memories and moments we have spent together. Thus, I have always considered returning the favour somehow. I have always dreamed of having an animal shelter, where stray animals and abandoned pets could live and grow in until a family would offer to adopt them. However, that requires a lot of money and time which I don't currently have. Instead of this, I am thinking about donating a little bit of money to an animal shelter, but I haven't chosen one yet. In short, adopt rather than buy an animal whenever you can; they deserve a home too.

A Volunteering Job

This sounds more natural in the US.

What volunteering job would you like to do?

And why?

I would like to take part in a dog rescue center.

During my life I have owned two dogs in my life, so I have experience treataining and looking after them.

Dogs always have been really important to me; for me, they are a kind of life companion.

Sharing my life with them has made me to grow so much, both personally and mentally.

I will always cherish all of the memories and moments we have spent together.

Thus, I have always considered returning the favour somehow.

I have always dreamed of having an animal shelter, where stray animals and abandoned pets could live and grow in until a family would offercame by to adopt them.

However, tThat requires a lot of money and time which I don't currently have, however.

We try to avoid using "however" at the beginning of sentences when writing.

Instead of this, I am thinking about donating a little bit of money to an animal shelter, but I haven't chosen one yet.

In short, adopt rather than buy an animal whenever you can; they deserve a home, too.

We always put a comma before "too."

Again, very well done!

Thanks! I understand that "however" can be substituted for "though", right?

Yes, that's correct.

Thus, I have always considered returning the favour somehow.

This is not a necessary correction. Favour is perfectly acceptable in non-American English (for instance in UK English)

However, tThat requires a lot of money and time which I don't currently have, however.

Also not necessary

I completely agree. However, I only commented on the corrections where you made it seem as though your solution was the only correct way to write in English. I simply pointed out that that is not true. It was mainly for the benefit of the author, not yours. But of course, no offence to your corrections.

Great use of the semicolon here!

'Thus' feels a bit stiff if it's not an academic writing piece.

I have always dreamed of having an animal shelter, where stray animals and abandoned pets could live and grow in until a family would offer to adopt them.

However, thatsuch a shelter requires a lot of money and time which I don't currently have.

Instead of this, I am thinking about donating a little bit of money to an animal shelter, but I haven't chosen one yet.

In short, someone can/should adopt, rather than buy , [an animal]/pet whenever youthey can; theyanimals in shelters deserve a home too.!

I put an exclamation mark for more enthusiasm since this is a call-to-action sentence.
