A stray cat

This night, when my friend and I went back home, we came across a stray cat.
It has soft and fluffy furs and is very close to people. But it is a little dirty. I and my friend thought the cat had been abandoned by someone, for common stray cats won't have such well furs, nor will them come around once they see humans.
We sent the cat's photo to our block neighborhood's WeChat group chat to ask whose cat it is, but no one answered. Then we found that someone had asked about the cat a few days ago, likewise, no one had answered.
The cat is way too adorable. However, it ran away while we were considering whether to adopt it. It's a bit of a pity.

A stray cat

This onight, when my friend and I went back home, we came across a stray cat.

It hasd soft and fluffy furs and iwas very closefriendly to people.

Furs = the pelts of animals, used for clothing
Fur = the coat of a living animal

I wasn't sure exactly what you meant by "close to people", but I guessed "friendly"

This happened in the past, so past tense --> had

But it iwas a little dirty.

This happened in the past, so past tense --> was

IMe and my friend thought the cat had been abandoned by someone, forsince common stray cats wdon't have such well furhealthy coats, nor willdo themy come around oncecloser when they see humans.

For can be used as "because" or "since", but it sounds a bit old-fashioned/literary

You could use don't and do OR wouldn't and would
don't have such healthy coats, nor do they come closer when they see humans --> comparing strays in general to the cat in front of you
wouldn't have such a healthy coat, nor would they come closer when they see humans --> more hypothetical/general

We sent the cat's photo to our block neighborhood's WeChat group chat to ask whose cat it iwas, but no one answered.

Even though it is still technically their cat, "was" still fits better here because this happened in the past.

Then we found that someone had asked about the cat a few days ago, likewise but, again, no one had answered.

The cat iwas way too adorable.

However, it ran away while we were considering whether to adopt it.

It' was a bit of a pity.

It might still be a pity, but "was" still makes more sense here.

Feedback

Excellent paragraph! Perhaps you will come across the cat again soon, and have a second chance to adopt it?

Thank you for really detailed corrections!
Yes, I do meant "friendly" then, I was unable to find the word for a while. And tense is really complex.
