The weather is so nice today. It is sunny and the blue sky is pretty clear. I am in Anji county now and the temperature in Anji is 7-20 degrees Celsius. Anji county is located in the southeast part of my hometown and is 550 kilometers away from it. Literally, Anji county should be 2-3 degrees Celsius higher than my hometown because it has a lower latitude, but today, the temperature of my hometown is 9-21 degrees Celsius. I don't know why this is the case. I once thought it was because of the different altitude, but I have looked at the two cities' altitude: my hometown's altitude is 17.5 and Anji's altitude is 40. This is definitely not the reason. Under what situations can the cities in the south have a lower temperature than the cities in the north? Do you know?

I don't know what you mean by "literally" here - perhaps you mean "usually"?
