Diary: Save Art From Oblivion

Today I watched a TED about record collectors. Compared with the current release of music through streaming, in the last century, a lot of music was distributed on records; those music existed in analog signals and were not digitalized. Record collectors hunted for valuable records in the past. Give art a second chance; save art from oblivion. This thought really touched me. It reminds me that a staff of a library. Once I visited the Chinese periodical management department of a library. When I first entered the door, I was taken aback. This staff has some disability, is very hunched, and her chest is almost close to her stomach. As the demand for paper books continues to decrease and the demand for electronic editions continues to increase, this library has decided not to subscribe to Chinese periodicals anymore, this department will be closed, and she will retire this year. She was binding the past issues. She said that these magazines are so good, and hope that someone will find them in the future and let them play their value. I have always felt that the dilemma encountered by the library is very similar to the music industry; both are problems caused by media changes. One of my research topics is also about giving new vitality to these "old" things through the community, hoping that these beautiful things will not be completely forgotten.
