Body positivity
This might be controversial, but I sometimes feel that there's toxic body positivity. I don't think my body has to be beautiful in order for me to love it and for others to respect me and not criticize me. For example, I don't think my stretch marks are beautiful, but they are a part of my body and they are normal. I don't feel bad about them and no one should make me feel that way. Not only pretty things deserve love and acceptance. I think it perpetuates the mentality of "my body has to be beautiful in order for me and others to love it". My value shouldn't be defined by my beauty. I don't know if every body is beautiful, but I think every body is lovable and worthy of respect and acceptance, independently of it's beauty.
You may not agree with me and that's okay. This was just the first thing that popped up in my mind when writing.
Today was graduation (well, it was yesterday but I haven't gone to sleep yet). I'm so emotional I don't think I can write something. I hadn't expected to be like this, but the thing is that I hadn't expected some things that happened. I'll write about it another day. Also, my best friend's birthday is today, so I'll probably be too busy to write.
