3. I feel like the days are going by so fast these days.

I looked up alternative phrases for "first" and "second", so I tried making sentences using them.

Translation Practice: Three English Sentences 3

1-1.

I'll be about 10 minutes late because I got caught in traffic.

I'll be about 10 minutes late because I got stuck in traffic.

This sounds more natural, but both "caught" and "stuck" are fine.

I'm running about 10 minutes late due to traffic.

This sentence feels incomplete, because it doesn't include what happened due to the traffic. You could complete it by saying "due to a traffic jam" or "due to a sudden increase in traffic"

I'm so sleep-deprived because I've been busy with work lately.

I haven't been getting enough sleep because I've been busy with work lately.

I feel like the days are going by so fast these days.

I looked up alternative phrases for "first" and "second", so I tried making sentences using them.

Thank you so much. 😀
In the first sentence, I didn't only know the phrase "traffic jam", but this time, the word was "渋滞に巻き込まれちゃって", so I wasn't sure how to say it in English.

I found alternative phrases like "got caught in traffic", "got stuck in traffic" and "running~late~" when I looked it up.

In the second sentence as well, I didn't only know the phrase "get enough sleep".

But I reallized that there are all sorts of phrase.

I added the hash (#) to show this is number 3 in the series. You can also write "part 3"/"pt.3".

3.

I feel like the days are going by so fast these dayslately.

It's correct grammar, but I'm just suggesting an alternative word so you don't have the repetition of "days"!

I was lookeding up alternative phrases for "first" and "second", so I tried making sentences using them.

Or: "I looked up alternative phrases for "first" and "second" and tried making sentences using them."

The first one means that you were researching the words, and that gave you the idea to make sentences. The second one means that you looked up the words because you wanted to make sentences with them.

Great job! For a lot of these, despite the wording being different, the meaning is the same.
