I leave a couple of paragraphs I wrote down to practice a little. Do they sound naturally? Thank you beforehand! :)
A
The library of my late uncle’s house was an old yet stunning place to put down roots. The shelves were steeped in books of all sorts, whit many of them piled up on the floor as there was no room to slot them together with the others. The bookshelf was wood-crafted, and not only was it covered with gilded paint and ornaments, but it also had a circuitous vine that would bestow on the books the life they can only express with words. The verdant of the plant, rather than encroach on the structure, blended in perfectly and harmoniously.
Little did I expect to find such a treasure within this decayed house. With the room dimly candle-lit, the view was sheer bliss. A perfectly place to let off steam on days when you get off on the wrong foot or things go haywire.
B
I had to snake in the old house so I could carry out the mission. It wasn’t so difficult as the knob of the principal door was as time-worn as it was the rest of the house. Never had I seen a space as downright dark as this was. With little light wadding through the boarded up windows and succeeding in nothing but unveiling the moths of dust responsible of the dusty aftertaste of the air.

Nothing grammatically wrong here, but you wouldn't think of a library as a place to put down roots. You would think of the house itself, and more particularly the neighborhood, city, town, etc. where the house is located as the place you are putting down roots (starting a family).

The shelves were steeped in books of all sorts, whit many of them piled up on the floor as there was no room to slot them together with the others.

"Steeped" doesn't sound natural here, but there are many other words/phrases that could be used.

The bookshelf was wood-crafted, and not only was it covered with gilded paint and ornaments, but it also had a circuitous vine that would bestow on the books the life they can only express with words.

This sounds a bit more natural in my opinion.
