Ukraines in Canada
My friend registered a meal at a church with me last month. We went to the party yesterday and I'd like to note my experience. There are about 50 tables in the dining hall with 7-8 guests in each, and the majority of them are elderly people. My table tag is 45 with 7 guests; three of them are originally from Ukraine, two are from Hungary and America, and the remaining are from China (me) and Indonesia. I was surprised by many people from East European countries, they were all born in Canada. They shared their stories about how hard their parents or grandparents were in the early or middle of the last century. In summary, their family came for a better and safer life in the great country, the Manitoba province where I am demanded farmers. Therefore, I realize there may be a primary reason why the current Canada helped so many Uraines when the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out. That is due to many Canadians were connected with Ukraine.
