Hablar en español
Hoy tenía la oportunidad de hablar español... y no lo hacé. Pensé que mi nivel de español fue demasiado pequeño para hablar por una conversación normal.
Soy tristeza que no practiqué mi español. Mañana tendré más oportunidades y quiero las utilizar.
Today I had two opportunities to practice speaking Spanish... and I didn't take them. I thought my level of Spanish would be too low to go through a normal conversation.
I'm disappointed I didn't practice speaking Spanish. Tomorrow I'll get more opportunities and I want to use them.

Hice--> it's the past tense (pretérito perfecto simple: hice, hiciste, hizo, hicimos, hicisteis, hicieron)
Pensé que mi nivel de español fueera demasiado pequeñbajo para hablar potener una conversación normal.
Pensé que mi nivel de español era demasiado bajo para tener una conversación normal.
Era--> we would use era instead of fue, because it's a "continuous" action. You have a certain level yesterday and you still have the same level today. That's why we would use the pretérito imperfecto.
When we talk about language's levels, we use bajo, intermedio and alto.
In this case, we'd use "tener una conversación". If you want to use the verb hablar, you could say: para poder hablar.
SEstoy tristeza porque no practiqué mi español.
Estoy triste porque no practiqué mi español.
We would use the verb estar instead of be because it's a specific state. In Spanish, estamos contentos, tristes, enfadados, desilusionados, sorprendidos, asustados etc. We use the adjective as well, so the form is: estar + adjective.
I added porque to connect both sentences.
Mañana tendré más oportunidades y las quiero las utilizar.
Mañana tendré más oportunidades y las quiero utilizar.
We'd put las before the verb.
In this situation, the perfect verb is aprovechar (use, take advantage of, make the most of)
