A Summary of My Experience in Gardening

I gave a friend some advice on growing new plants last night, and then I thought, why don't I capture a video about it.

Here it is: https://youtube.com/shorts/6Z5gGW_CYfg?si=NP2cJMXN2tO6_Ogy

If you want to have some plants at home too, this video might be useful.

I'm not an expert in botany, but this trick really works well, especially for the little plants I bought online. Maybe it's a little like kids' shoes. Too big ones might be a burden for the small feet. Another reason for doing this is to let the plants grow independently for a few days before placing them together in a large pot to create a landscape. If you do the landscape too early, those grow-slow little ones might be damaged by the fast ones.

As always, if you find any English mistakes in the video, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

I gave a friend some advice on growing new plants last night, and then I thought,: why don't I capture a video about it.? I gave a friend some advice on growing new plants last night, and then I thought: why don't I capture a video about it?

Your original sentence is fine, this is just slightly more correct/less casual.

I gave a friend some advice on growing new plants last night, and then I(I) thought, why don't I capture a video about it. I gave a friend some advice on growing new plants last night, and then (I) thought, why don't I capture a video about it.

RECOMMENDATION: In this sentence, the word "I" is repeated 3 times. Delete the 2nd "I" -- it is not necessary.

If you want to have some plants at home too, this video might be useful.

If you also want to havraise some plants at home too, this video might be useful. If you also want to raise some plants at home, this video might be useful.

- Your initial sentence is understandable, but it's a bit more natural to say 'If you also ...' rather than 'If X too' - 'have some plants' will be understood but it's a bit better to say 'raise some plants' or 'keep some plants'

I'm not an expert in botany, but this trick really works well, especially for the little plants I bought online.

Too big ones might be a burden for the small feet.

TOnes that are too big ones might be a burden for the small feet. Ones that are too big might be a burden for the small feet.

'Too x' as an adjective feels a little strange for a native speaker. It's usually better to reword those constructions. Eg: 'These shoes are too big' is OK, but it feels a little strange to say 'too-big shoes'. If you do use a two-word adjective to describe something, it's good to put a hyphen in between the words to show that the two words are connected.

Too big ones might be a burden for the small feet. Too big ones might be a burden for small feet.

SUGGESTION: Delete the word "the."

Another reason for doing this is to let the plants grow independently for a few days before placing them together in a large pot to create a landscape.
